Since the time that he was a very young boy, Harry Potter knew he was lucky. Unfortunitly he only knew this because he also had the misfortune of finding himself in bad situations. One of which took the very lives of his parents, leaving a young Harry barely harmed at all. He made it out with only a small scar on his forehead, shaped like the very thing that stole his family from him, a bolt of lightening. His family had burned to death in the fire that occured, yet miraculously the town had found little Harry alive.

From there little Harry was placed with his only living relatives, The Dursleys. Harry was lucky though, for as much trouble as he got into growing up, he always found a way to squirm free. Eventually he even escaped the Dursley's themselves, from then on Harry Potter was free.

Traveling from village to village, he tutored himself in the dark arts. His luck, he soon realized was his magic. The people were fearful though, it was always difficult to find books, but if the villagers ever found out he feared his luck would run out. Witches were burned at the stake regularily, he had seen their charred remains as he moved from town to town.

Eventually Harry settled into a coastal community, he made his home at the far end of town and practiced to his hearts content. He really should have seen this coming, he hadn't been careful as before.

Harry's head throbbed fiercely as he came to, his arms aching from the strain of holding him onto the boulder. The mayor was holding a scroll and reading the accusations, it made sense then. He had refused the advances of a young woman, now she claimed he had used black magic on her. It stung, these people he had begun to feel like a family, yet so easily they turned on him.

"Your sentence for the act of black magic on a citizen, is death." Ginerva was smiling at him, he should have seen she was unstable, she had all but stalked him. Hermione and her Husband Ronald were whispering to one another softly, Hermione's sniffles were heard even above the crashing waves nearby.  Harry looked away, unable to look his former friends in the eyes.

"You will be left here to be dealt with as all before you have been, as sacrifice for the beast."
