A Little Bit of the Clear Stuff
Please bare with me and be gentle. This is my first attempt at writing and so very much an experiment. I have been reading for a while, and finally got around to making my own contribution.
This chapter will be short while I test the water. I hope you enjoy and do let me know what you think. For reference this shall involve SS and an original character.

Chapter 1: Revelations
It all happened very quickly. "Oh by the way you're adopted, and once more you're a witch."Wonderful. They're shipping me of to an old castle in the middle of nowhere, with a bunch of pubescent, hormone drenched teenagers to learn about magic. I'm 22 years old. I did school six years ago. I've barley left university and now I have to go back and learn impossible things at the level of an eleven year old. It's not the existence of a whole other world right under my nose that bothers me. Its the fact I was kept in the dark for so many years. Normally these kids leave primary school and come straight here. Not me. Apparently, for my own protection I was dumped on a muggle family to be brought up like them. Powers suppressed, and destined to become a doctor. Only I wasn't clever enough to do it first time around. I had to waste four years doing a degree in Biochemistry and now I have to do another four at med school. That's on the back burner now of course. Two years to cram the basics of magic, and only then can I go back. At this rate I'll be forty by the time I qualify.
So, finding out about the world of wizards and witches. Yes it was a bit of a shock, but in all reality it's not that much different to how I lived before. You expect something like that happens and the world turns orange, everything goes in slow motion and you float through life as if in a movie. It's like love. The TV would have you believe its somehow different from normality. Like you're raised above the mundane and placed on a pedestal with huzzy fuzzy snugglyness and prince charming who just happens to dote upon you, and your every need.Whereas,In reality, its a takeaway, a quick shag and if you argue less than 50% of the time you might just go ahead, get married and copulate to further the human race. And then you die. That's almost how this is. A huge let down from the fairy tale.Like I say, I was never supposed to be here. I was supposed to live as a muggle, working a normal job, living in a normal house and marrying a normal bloke. Something happened though and I was needed. For what, I don't fully understand but they're going to teach me. How lovely. They're happy to abandon me to the drivel that is mortgages and insurance policies, but as soon as they need my help its "Hey! guess what you're one of us"And alas, I got on a train. Was met my a codger with a stick and the rest is history. Had I known then what I know now, I would have thought twice about boarding the Hogwarts Express. Or I certainly would have done things a lot differently. Tread a lot more carefully. Watched my back, and learned not to trust everyone I was told to.
