I do not own Harry Potter. I make no money from this story.
They
“There is one thing that is all consuming and universal.
Despite what religion, if any, you practise, what colour your skin is what music you listen to. All of us fall to our knees for this, praying to it a if it were a deity sent from heaven and allowed with us for one brief moment in time.
With it, we have clarity, we have peace, and hope.
Without it, we wish for it, we hope for it, we long for it.
It pulls everything we have into the open, it does not judge, nor does it hold secrets. All actions we have done, or neglected to do, are wiped clean in the moments of clarity we experience.
It is love.
Love that brings me here today, standing in front of you, confessing I cant live without you, cant take another breath without knowing you take one next to me.
You consume me, and all I have ever done, and ever will do, will be done in your name, and for you.
My heart… My Love… My Soul.”
The colours flitted around the chapel, shafts of light entered and exited, lighting her hair on fire, and drawing attention to the tears that glistened on his cheeks.
She wore white, he black.
They stood in front of her friends, her family, and his colleagues and confessed their love for one another. The light danced around their faces as a rare smile broke across his.
It was all sealed with a single kiss. Hope, Love, Life poured from one to another, promises of a life long lived and well spent, in each others embrace.
Her delicate hand grasped his as they waved their guests goodbye. They climbed in to their vehicle and both relaxed every muscle they didn’t know they clenched, and breathed a breath neither knew they had been holding.
His hand twisted in her hair, admiring the way it fell around her. He seemed so tired, and yet so full of life.
Her smile was gentle, knowing, and she placed a kiss upon his lips as both a gift and a promise, a promise of always, of now and forever.
She smiled on his lips, and he smiled back. The light hits his eyes in a rather beautiful way and for what seemed to be the millionth time she watched in wonder as they flashed a different colour.
Their relationship was far from perfect, one of distance, passion and need. But it suited them to be so volatile, as if at any moment they could explode in a wave of light and passion, become one with their surroundings, and never fade away.
They loved each other, unquestioningly, hopefully and always.
She was forever his
And he was eternally hers.
