The Butler
Author's Note: This story is going to be based on two anime's or rather; some things are going to be used for the story, so anything you may recognize from Kuroshitsuji or Loveless isn't mine,... But the story itself is going to be different... Now I'm done. Oh and in this story Lucius MALFOY died in the first war. This Lucius is the demon version of Malfoy but no one recognizes him as the late Malfoy and he doesn't remember that life. Now I'm done for real. Please enjoy =)
Chapter one
Darkness. It surrounded him. The dark shadows were crawling over his skin, ghosting over every part of his body. He could almost feel the hungry touch of the shadows, as if they wanted to devour him. Black feathers were falling from the ‘sky’ making the scene even more evil then before. Yet all this didn’t seem to faze him a bit. His eyes were roaming trough the black nothingness, in search of the being he summoned. His body was bare, his groin covered with a crimson red sheet. His beautiful pale skin was harmed, tainted by the hands of his tormentors.
For a few seconds he thought nothing was there and his cat-like ears twitched on his head in annoyance. That’s when he spotted it. There was a raven sitting on a perch. The bird was looking at him intently. Its body was that of a usual bird, but its eyes were an unearthly silver color. Those tiny eyes of the bird almost had him transfixed but he didn’t let himself get distracted. Just as he was about to speak a low voice spoke instead.
“Why have you summoned me?”
He closed his eyes for a moment, his black ears twitching on his head, listening for any movement. Everything was quiet. The shadows and the raven were waiting for his answer. For a moment he just thought. But when he opened his eyelids again, the raven saw the hatred in those green eyes.
“I have summoned you because I am offering you a deal. I need to find the murderer of my parents. I intend to destroy him. And while I am doing so, I need your protection.” His tone of voice was filled with determination and self-confidence. The raven fluttered his wings and the voice was heard again.
“Why seek me though? Are you really ready to forsake your soul? Do you really wish to roam Hell for eternity? Once the deal is done you cannot go back on our agreement.” Its voice echoed trough the darkness, filling everything with coldness.
Yet the black haired boy didn’t hesitate.
“My life is already forsaken. I have suffered enough. My body is soiled, harmed by the ones that call themselves my family. The only thing I seek is revenge, and you will give it to me.”
“And what of my payment?” The voice had a pleased ring to it.
“You will get anything you wish.”
Suddenly the raven took off and flew the short path to the boy. When it stopped and just hovered, the feathers jerked from every direction and surrounded the bird. They spun around it, growing thicker and thicker. When the whirlwind subsided, a man stood in its place. The man crunched down and placed a hand over the boy’s right eye. The boy barley had a moment to tense, when all of a sudden, pain exploded all over his body. He screamed, his hands clawing at the hand above his right eye, desperate to make the pain go away. Then it was all over. The man removed his hand, which now had a strange mark on it. He then smiled and scooped up the unconscious boy.
“We have reached an agreement, Master.”
It was the first of September. The train station was buzzing with people. Everyone was running in different directions, desperate to get to their trains on time. Among the people, there were six read-heads running, in fear of being late for the Hogwarts Express. As it were, they arrived on time. After taking care of their luggage, four children said their goodbyes to Molly and Arthur Weasley and left, each in their own direction, searching for friends.
Ron was searching for Harry and Hermione. He had a lot to tell them. His sky-blue eyes searched trough the crowd in search for that bushy hair and that mop Harry calls a decent hairstyle. Soon he spotted one of the two. He made his way to her, doing so quite easily because of his long body. Over the summer he hit a growth spurt and got even taller then before. Right now he was towering over Ginny by a whole head and a half. So with this he reached her rather fast and after the greetings they boarded the train. They searched for a free compartment and soon found one. They engaged in conversation, laughing and talking.
Ron observed Hermione. She was taller too, but she didn’t grow as much as he did. Her hair was less bushy, but still remained so. Her brown eyes were currently closed as she laughed at the mischief his brothers were up to. She was tanned from her vacation in Greece. She was just starting to tell him of her time there when they felt the train move. Hermione started and looked in the direction of the train station. It was moving quickly out of her view. She bit her lip and looked at Ron with worried eyes.
“Have you seen Harry?” Her voice had a bit of a waver when she spoke. Ron looked at her for a moment and ruffled his hair with his hand.
“No I didn’t. Why? Do you think he didn’t make it?”
“I don’t know Ron.”
Ron was quiet for a few seconds then smiled at her. His smile was reassuring.
“Look we probably shouldn’t worry too much. He’s probably just sitting with Nevile or something.”
She looked unsure, but left it at that. A few minutes later she resumed talking about her time in Greece. Soon Seamus and Dean joined them, and together they recalled the things they did over the summer, the matter of Harry soon forgotten. They laughed and talked so much that their abdomens hurt. They had so much fun they didn’t even notice when the sky darkened. But what they did eventually notice, was the fact that the train was slowly coming to a stop. They quickly changed into Gryffindor robes, wondering where the time went . By the time the train stopped they just managed to get dressed and they all ran out, just in time. The train started moving a few seconds after they got out. They looked at each other and burst out laughing again.
They made their way to a carriage. After they were all on the carriage moved. The ride to the castle was quiet, save for a few chuckles they released upon remembering the train incident. But soon even that was absent. They were all hungry and tired. When the carriage halted, they eagerly rushed to the Great Hall eager for food. When they made it in the hall was already filled with students. They quickly found themselves a seat at the Griffindor table and sat down.
That’s when Hermione noticed Harry still wasn’t here. Her ears twitched on her head and she quickly stood, hoping she was mistaken. Yet he was nowhere to be seen.
“Ron, Harry isn’t here.”
Ron looked up from the conversation he had with Seamus and raised his eyebrows “What?!”
They were just about to go search for him when Professor McGonagall entered with the first-years. Hermione sat down, but her eyes were still searching for her friend. She didn’t even hear the Sorting hat’s song, nor did she watch the sorting itself. All her attention was focused on the entrance doors.
When the sorting ended, Dumbledore stood and gave his yearly speech. He warned all students of the Forbidden forest and other forbidden items. He also told them that after the feast there is something important they will be told. When he finally finished speaking all the students redirected their gaze to their plates. Then the food appeared and everyone dug in. Chatter was once again heard in the room. Everyone was in peace, enjoying their meal and catching up with their friends. The joyful sounds of laughter echoed trough the hall. They were all very happy to finally see their friends after the long vacation.
Dinner was halfway trough and dissert soon appeared on the tables. The cat-like ears on the heads of the student body were twitching in anticipation. The sweets were soon halfway gone. Everyone was enjoying the wonderful sweetness of the elf-prepared pastries with smiles on their faces. When the last few students finished, the headmaster stood again, intent on telling them the big news.
And that’s when the doors slammed open.
Everything went quiet.
Every gaze was turned to the figures standing in the middle of the entrance. Hermione looked at the strangers. The smaller of the two had messy black hair that fell to the nape of his neck. His bangs were falling into his eyes and because of that his face had a certain look to it, which made him very beautiful. He was dressed in robes, but they were not of any house. But of all, it was his eye that seemed so familiar. The deep shade of emerald green was astoundingly beautiful, if a bit cold. But what made her wonder the most was the right eye, which covered with bandages.
The tall man that stood next to the teen was as beautiful as the boy. His long blond hair fell just a bit past his shoulders. His whole face radiated beauty and power, but his eyes were the most astounding. The beautiful silver irises made his face even more pronounced. He was dressed as a butler, but everyone could sense there was something else beneath the surface of that man. He looked out of this world.
Hermione had some trouble looking away form the mysterious blond, but when she did, she looked closely at the boy. Why did he seem so familiar?
The boy then looked right up to the Head table and caught the gaze of the headmaster. He stared into those blue eyes for a few seconds then redirected his gaze to his companion. He made a gesture with his hand and started walking towards the teachers, the man right after him. He stopped in front of the headmaster and gave a polite nod in greeting.
“I apologize for being late.”
Dumbledore just stood and looked at the boy, his brows furrowed in concentration. A few seconds latter his eyes flickered to the man next to the teen. The man stared into those blue eyes, unaffected by the presence of the powerful wizard. He just smiled and bowed a little in the waist in greeting. Dumbledore nodded and looked into the eye of the teen.
“Mr. Potter?”
“Yes headmaster?”
Dumbledore stared at the boy in shock. He was a complete opposite of before. His face lacked a smile and his gaze was cold, lifeless. The headmaster went around the table, and was about to touch the boy who was like a grandson to him, when his hand was halted. He looked to the gloved hand that held his wrist and moved his gaze to the face of the mysterious man at Harry’s side.
“Please refrain from touching my Master.” The man said with a smile on his face. Dumbledore started at this. ‘Master?’ The boy seemed unfazed by the title the man used.
“Mr. Potter what happened to your eye?”
The young man visibly tensed. He shot a discreet glance to his servant, than leveled his gaze back to the professor.
“I do not wish to share that information. Now as I was saying, I apologize for being late. I had a few errands to do before my arrival. Now if you please, I would like to retire for the evening. I merely wish to be given the password for the dorms.”
Dumbledore was still trying to get over the shock, and so was the whole student body. Who was this boy? How can he really be the kind boy that saved the wizarding world?
“The password?”
Dumbledore was getting more and more curious. What made Harry like this? It was painful to watch him be like this. His gaze was so cold. And did he close up like a clam as soon as the eye was mentioned? He let his eyes stray to the man holding his arm again. In that second Dumbledore decided to just play the game of this boy for now. He will find out what happened to him latter.
“Ah yes, the password is ‘petrify’. I bid you a pleasant night.” Harry just nodded and turned on his heels.
“Lucius, we are leaving.” The blond man released the old-man’s arm, and went after his master. When the doors to the Great Hall closed chatter resumed. But now, all the conversations were about the mysterious duo that just left.
Hermione stared at the closed doors with wide eyes. Slowly she turned to Ron, only to see him with the same expression on his face as she.
“That was Harry?”
Soft footsteps echoed trough the castle as Harry and Lucius moved their way to the Griffindor common room. The halls were dark, save from the torches that glowed in the darkness, casting shadows over their faces.
Harry looked straight ahead, deep in thought. Lucius was right behind him, just observing the boy. His gaze stilled at his black hair atop the boys head, where those black ears lay. It was curious really, those ears. No one really knows where they come from, but all knew what they were for. They represented the innocence of a person. When a person lost their virginity they also lost their ears. Children were forbidden to loose them before their seventeenth birthday. That was the law. And if a child did loose them before coming of age, it was a punishable offense. His hand twitched at his side.
All of a sudden his master stopped.
“Lucius.”
“Yes, Master?”
The boy turned, his green eye searching for something on the man’s face. His arm slowly lifted and his hand beckoned him to the teen. Lucius stepped forward and captured the hand before it could be lowered to Harry’s side. Harry seemed unfazed by this and just looked into the blonds eyes.
“You are doing it again.”
His voice was flat. They both knew what he meant. Lucius smiled and lifted the hand in his grasp to his lips. He traced them over Harry’s knuckles and looked into that green eye.
“I apologize, but I simply cannot resist it.”
Harry stared at his servant with a thoughtful gaze. His eye traveled over the man’s form and stopped at the hand that was holding his. He jerked his palm out of the blonds grip and his eye captured those beautiful silver eyes.
“You never told me what you wished for as your payment.”
Lucius smiled that creepy, demonic smile and backed his master into the wall behind him. Harry’s back made a quiet thud when he hit the cold surface. Lucius placed his right arm next to the messy black hair and twitching cat-like ear. His left hand caressed Harry’s face right over the bandages. Then he ripped them off of his head. The closed eye behind the now torn bandages slowly opened, revealing a light green mark over his usual emerald green iris. His pupil wasn’t visible. The mark was in the shape of a nine point star with a circle surrounding it. The inside of the star was emerald green. The outline of the iris was covered with a strange light green circle that had little triangles on it, pointing to the white of the eye.
Harry watched Lucius as he observed the mark on his eye. He could still see with the eye, but he didn’t want to deal with the questions the mark would bring. Only he and Lucius knew what the mark was. And he wanted it to remain that way.
Lucius observed the mark that bonded him and his master together. It looked beautiful on his master’s eye, if not a little strange. Yet he couldn’t do anything else but adore it. It was almost unbearable to break their gaze, but he knew he needed to say something. So he leaned forward and whispered into the teen’s ear all the while still caressing the boy’s face.
“I think you know exactly what I want, Master.”
He caressed Harry’s right cat-like ear with his fingers and moved away from him. Harry pushed himself away from the wall and started walking again. He didn’t even acknowledge the words his servant told him.
Lucius followed after him a slight smirk on his face. The young teen may act like he was unfazed, but he knew better. A person can only blush on certain occasions. And he knew for a fact that those rosy cheeks weren’t the result of the cold air.
They arrived at the portrait of The Fat Lady and gave it the password. Lucius then scooped Harry up and walked inside. Harry yelped and then glared at the blond.
“What are you doing?” Lucius smiled down at him and it made the young boy blush again.
“I’m carrying you, master. You look tired and I didn’t want you to hurt yourself on the way upstairs.”
He kept on walking right up to the dormitory, where he laid the teen down on his bed. He gently pulled off Harry’s robes and folded them. He then reached for the buttons of the button-up shirt Harry was wearing, and slowly began to unclothe the boy. Harry watched him as he unbuttoned button after button, until the shirt was completely open. Lucius then pulled the shirt off of the boy’s frame and set on pulling off his pants as well. Harry let his servant change him, but he was still a little embarrassed. And he knew Lucius noticed. But he stayed quiet for his own sake. While Harry was deep in his thoughts, Lucius finished folding the clothes, and pulled out the teen’s night-ware.
“If you would, please lift up your arms Master.”
Harry startled out of his thoughts and nodded, while lifting his arms up in the air. Lucius placed both into the sleeves and pulled the baggy shirt over Harry’s head. When the black-haired head popped trough the neckline he realized that their faces were really close. He watched his Master with half-lidded eyes, looking for any sign of a reaction. But alas there was none. So, he took matters into his own hands. His glowed hand once again caressed the soft cheek. The boy’s eyelids slowly dropped, as he enjoyed the soft caress of the material. He was unused to this kind of touch, but he didn’t question it. And so, he was soon asleep. His butler noticed when his breathing deepened. He smirked and stood, after deciding he wasn’t going to try and pull on the pants as well. So he simply tucked the sleeping boy in and caressed the boy’s cat-like ear for the last time. Then he turned and left, his silver eyes now pink-red in color, the pupils nothing but slits, the irises glowing in the dark.
“Goodnight, Master.”
