"Eeeeeeee!" A high-pitched squeal ripped through the quiet shop. "Oh my god!" Lily Luna screamed. "You two would look absolutely adorable in these!"

Scorpius and Al, as well as the clerk and a middle-aged couple, whipped around at the unexpected shriek to find a beaming Lily hold up a pair of matching black, studded leather collars.

"Remind me again why she's with us?" Scorpius asked through gritted teeth. He kept a wary watch on her as she gleefully criss-crossed back and forth through the store. Lily had hinted about her interest in accompanying them to a leather shop, 'just to look around', and they'd refused, countless times. What rational male shopped at an adult store with his boyfriend's younger sister in tow? The idea was enough to give Scorpius heartburn. He stared at Lily through narrowed eyes. And the way Lily had managed to finagle her way to this trip suggested the machinations of a Slytherin, rather than a Gryffindor.

"I'm sorry! I've apologized a thousand times." Al answered, his hands spread wide, palms upraised. "There's no way I could have known my parents would find us here and dump her on us. I'll make it up to you, I swear!"

Body pressed up against Al's, Scorpius leaned in close. "You better believe you'll make it up to me," he whispered. "There's no way you're getting off easy after we've dragged your sister around with us while we shop."

A smile played on Al's lips. "I can't wait," he said.

Scorpius was more than ready to suggest they cut their excursion short when, suddenly, another ear splitting scream pierced the air. He dropped his head into his hand. "Sweet Merlin, what is it this time?" he muttered.

He lifted his head to find Lily rushing over to them. "Look at these! Just look!" Her face was aglow as she held her two prizes aloft. "Al would love you in these, Scor, I'm absolutely sure of it!" She gazed up at him with wide, innocent eyes.

Scorpius lowered his hand and stared at what she held triumphantly in her grasp. He felt his face flame and heard a strangled sound come from behind him.

"Ahhh, ummm, Lily," said Al, his voice higher than usual. "I really think you should let us make our own decisions, don't you?"

Lily's face fell. "I was only trying to help." She turned her attention back to Scorpius. "But, you really would look great in these," she said, a wide grin on her face.

"Lils," said Al, exasperation tinging his voice.

"Oh all right, sheesh." Lily scowled, whirled on her heel and stomped away, hanging the leather chaps and whip back where she'd found them.

Scorpius turned to Al, to find Al's red face staring back at him. "If she ever finds out you have them hanging in your closet, you're a dead man," Scorpius said, his voice strained.

Al shook his head vehemently, his expression one of utmost seriousness. "Not on your life!"
