Sunset streams through an open window, alighting on two naked bodies. The men are curled around each other, so firmly intertwined it is hard to see where one body ends and another
begins. A petite red haired man stands in the doorway to the bedroom. He feels tears well in his eyes and he blinks them back. He still can’t believe he was so lucky even after all this time. Radiant sea green eyes open and take in his slouched form. A hand beckons and he obliges. He no longer has to look from the doorway, he can come inside.

Three men stand in identical suits, and hand in hand. Smiles are exchanged and fingers squeezed reassuringly as the ministry official reads them their vows. They have waited so long for this moment and now it has finally arrived. Caramel colored eyes fill with crystalline tears as a black hair man breaks down. He never thought it would be possible, that he could be so happy. All their friends and family surround them and laughter and weeping abound on a sunny April day that would change their lives forever.

A silent scream echoes through the hospital as a black haired man gives birth. Both of his hands are clasped tensely as he bears down. He smiles through his pain because he knows that he is not alone. His lovers won’t let him go through this unaided and they will always be by his side. A wailing cry comes from a pink wrinkled baby girl and the tired man smiles. He has made his lovers so happy today. The little girl has big blue eyes, an angled face and a tuft of black hair. She is beautiful.

A brown haired man ties a trailing red scarf around a thin black haired child‘s neck. A spotted owl hoots for attention as bags are unloaded and tears are shed. A red and gold train rumbles in the background as the family sends their daughter to Hogwarts for the first time. Well wishes, hugs and promises to write are exchanged as the train at platform 9 and ¾ takes their daughter away.

A brilliant honey eyed man smiles into the camera, putting a finger to his lips signaling silence. The camera angle widens, showing a beautiful red haired man holding a wriggling puppy. The black ball of fur licks the man’s face and his mouth opens wide with helpless mirth.

A brown haired man walks a beautiful black haired girl past a crowd of people. She looks beautiful today as he hands her to the man who will promise to love and cherish her. He stands aside, as it is time to let her go. He takes comfort in knowing that while she may go far away, he will aways be in her heart. Smiling at the whispered words of consolation, he knows that everything will be alright.

He is once more all alone in the world. He tries to smile through his sorrow and takes comfort in knowing that he is not far from them at all. He knows that he will see them again soon and that knowledge keeps him going. His journey in this world is almost at an end and he thinks to himself as he looks up at the blue, blue sky, ‘My journey here is almost over but I’ll see you in the next world. The force of our love won’t let us part’.
