Ying and Yang
From the Diary of James Potter
I'm amazed we haven't been caught yet. Who could Imagine, me, the pride and joy of the order having an affair with a death eater's wife. Well I suppose some of the boys might think it a wonderful laugh, however it isn't about the death eater. It's her. I can't get her out of my head, I'm afraid I'm in love.
As much as I do love her, I'm afraid we've gone too far. She's pregnant. Luckily her husband assumes it is his child, but she has told me better. She's has been able to Confund the mediwizard without her husband's knowledge, keeping our secret safe.
Last night i received a note from my love. She is bearing twins. While under any other circumstances this news would be joyous, Twins carry a magic that runs deeper than anything performed by a wizard. We must act to ensure the safety of the children.
The day has come, and all our plans are about to be tested. Thank Merlin I have such a good friend as Lily Evans. She has been the glue that keeps this whole operation together. I just hope that we can time the polyjuice potion correctly. I swear if even one thing goes wrong today, it could mean our lives.
Harry is Beautiful. My mind is still playing the first moment I held him in my arms over and over again. He is truly a miracle. Lily loves him to death, she's going to make a wonderful mother. The only regret i have, is separating the boys. The way the looked at each other in those first moments. It was heartbreaking to tear them apart, but it's for the best. Harry will grow up happily, and in a few years when the war is over, they'll be reunited. Until then we'll just be grateful for our little miracle.

16 Years Later
Harry wandered the forest. He could feel another person, somewhere in the trees around him. They called to him, desperately trying to find him. He broke out into a run and started yelling for the lost person. Suddenly he saw a silhouette of a person at the entrance to a clearing in the distance. As fast as he could, Harry raced towards the soft sunlight. He screamed at the top of his lungs for his lost companion. Suddenly he was only feet away when he felt a very large thud, and everything went dark.
Harry opened his eyes to the dark gloom of his tiny room at the Dursley's house. It was the middle of the summer, just after his sixteenth birthday, and he had been having a dream about searching the woods for months now. He never got to the person however. Harry pulled himself up off the floor and into his bed. According to the small clock next to his bed, it was almost five in the morning.
"Might as well start getting up." Harry mumbled to himself. Every morning, he had to get up before dawn and prepare his uncle's breakfast. Once he had eaten and left for work, Harry had just enough time to clean and cook Petunia, his aunt, and Dudley, his cousin's breakfast before they woke. If he was lucky, he got breakfast too. After he was done rinsing the dishes from breakfast, Harry would perform whatever tasks his aunt saw fit for him to do. This ranged from Gardening to polishing the linoleum floors by hand. His chores would keep him busy until supper, which Petunia cooked, lest Harry ruin a good roast, after which he was given a small amount of freedom to do whatever he liked in his room. As long as he didn't disturb anyone.
It was a miserable existence, but one that Harry endured. His mother had died protecting him from the Dark Lord, Voldemort, and the only way to keep her spell working was to remain at the Dursley's, his mother's only living relatives, for a few months in the summer when he wasn't at school.
One evening, a few weeks before Harry was due to return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, while lounging on his bed, reading one of his books on Quidditch, a loud tapping sound startled him. At the window, a very regal looking Eagle Owl was pecking at the glass, and hooting quite loudly. The bird's arrival was quite a surprise for Harry, seeing as he had already received his birthday mail from his friends, and his letter from Hogwarts. He wasn't expecting any Owl Post.
Harry went to the window, and opened the letter tied to the owl's leg.
Harry,
I know that this is quite unusual of me to contact you, but I have very important information for you concerning your parents. I have discovered documents that may explain some of the mysteries surrounding you and the Dark Lord. As a member of The Order, I felt it my duty to inform Dumbledore of this, and he in turn decided to tell you. I will be arriving at Privet drive tomorrow night to escort you to Hogwarts, where you will remain for the rest of the holiday. Please be packed and ready by 6 o'clock as I do not appreciate tardiness.
,Severus Snape
Harry read the letter a few times before he turned to pack his belongings. Snape was probably the one person who despised Harry as much as the Dursleys did, but if Snape was the only way out of Privet Drive, the Harry would go with him. He was also extremely curious to find out this information about his parents. Perhaps it would help him in defeating Voldemort. Besides, he knew so little about them anyway, any information was important to him. With an hour, Harry's entire life was packed into his trunk, ready to leave the moment Snape arrived tomorrow.
