How could this Happen?

I slapped my head in annoyance, I couldn’t belive I had let it get this far. How could I be so consumed and so blind to what was happening. How could I Hermione Granger the so Called ‘Brightest witch of her Age.’ miss something so critical. I walked into the library and closed the door behind me before collapsing on the couch close to tears. “What’s wrong Hermione?” came the deep baritone voice I had come to know so well. I turned and saw Sirius sitting in a chair a book on his lap a few strands of black hair falling over his face. He looked different then he had the first time we met. He looked healthy. He was alive. It was because of me.

After Bellatrix’s death I had immersed myself in a sea of books of good and dark magic alike. Until I found what I was looking for. A spell that could undo something someone’s wand did. It brought Sirius back and then I did the same thing on voldemorts resulting in the return of Lily and James potter, along with Remus and Tonk’s along with Fred. It was odd though. Among all of them Sirius came back the most changed looking the way he did right before going to Azkaban and for the life of me I couldn’t find anything to explain it. I smiled. “Nothing just a rough day.” I said dismissively. “You’ve had rough day’s before luv. What’s bothering you?” He asked coming over to sit next to me. “Sirius it’s nothing just a stupid problem I don’t know why it’s bothering me really.” I said laughing slightly. He was about to say something when Harry’s voice floated in. “Sirius?” Sirius looked at me. “We’ll talk later.” he said softly. I nodded before falling back on the couch.

I was a moron, completely brainless. I stood up and grabbed some floo powder. “GODRICS HOLLOW!” I yelled before the green flames engulfed me. “Hermione? Are you ok?” Lily asked jumping up from her seat and enveloping me in a hug. We had become very good friends being the same age and all. “Is James here?” I asked looking around. “No actually he decided to grab Remus and Harry then go and get Sirius to go for a drink at the leaky cauldron. Do you need to talk to him?” she asked. I shook my head. “No I need to talk to you actually but I don’t want him to overhear.” I said my lips trembling. Lily looked at me before grabbing my hands and bringing me into the kitchen. Lily set two mugs of tea with lemon down on the table. “What’s wrong Mione?” she asked softly. I started crying startling her. “What happened.” She asked. Worried. “I can’t belive I let this happen. I can’t, I mean I’m supposed to be so smart yet I couldn’t even see this happening. In my wildest dreams I never imagined this.” I said sobbing. “What Hermione?” Lily asked. “I’ve fallen in love with the one person who will never love me or even care for me. Nothing, ever, yet I’m head over heals in love with him. Every night a different women every time he get’s drunk I take care of him and he says he loves me. It breaks my heart Lily I don’t know what to do.” I said taking a breath.

“Who Hermione?” I looked at her emerald eyes. “Sirius.” I said in a whisper. I was about to say something. “Oh.” Lily said before passing out.

Ok so here’s the first chapter. Yes it’s short but it’s really just a prologue. No beta so there will be some spelling mistakes. Not to many hopefully. This one will have more of a plot then my other one. AND YES I will keep updating my other one. But let me know what you think. Review so I can see what you like or if you have any suggestions.
