What Lies Beyond Love
Just behind the wall of the Head Girls bedroom, sits one of Hogwarts most dangerous secrets. The Head Boy and Girl are the only ones who can save Hogwarts from destruction; but will their forbidden love set if free? Or will Hogwarts fall victim to one of the greatest love stories of all time?
CHAPTER ONE: THE DEATH OF ARIELLE VON DE WOLFE
Arielle Von De Wolfe was born into a noble English wizarding family. Like most of mankind, she was drawn to the darker side of magic. Black Magick was a popular practise where she lived, a place called Swallowglen, a place that was later known as Godrics Hollow.
She went undetected for years; her first dark spell was cast on an unsuspecting muggle who had picked on her one day in a park. She was nine years old. Still playing with the dark arts, she got accepted to a school that went by the name of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her whole family had gone there for centuries.
She attended school with one of the darkest wizards, a wizard who would grow up to be only one of the most feared names in wizarding history: Tom Marvolo Riddle, otherwise known as Lord Voldemort. And as sure as her father was about her making something of herself like the rest of the family had, she made friends with Tom Riddle, and they did great things.
As the years of school passed by, they started to become jealous of one another, trying desperately to beat each other at everything they did. If one made a good potion, the other made a great potion. It got worse when Tom created the Chamber of Secrets. Arielle struggled to keep her mouth shut; she couldn’t lose this battle with her once good and first friend.
Finally, their final year at Hogwarts, both students excelled and received the Head Boy and Girl badges. They were to share a tower together, do everything together. The only professor who picked up on it, was the professor Tom looked up to most: Albus Dumbledore. But the greyed wizard had his eyes on Arielle. He was frightened not only for the school, but of what she would become when she left.
Tom didn’t like that Dumbledore was paying so much attention to Arielle and not him. he was the greater wizard, he would be the greatest potion master who ever taught and he would forever be a well known name. But it seemed, as the final days of school drew nearer, he wasn’t going to get that chance. His decision had been made; he would be a wizard to be feared, to cower beneath and the first person he would destroy was Arielle, as he knew she had the power to be just as fearful.
“You think you can simply kill me?” Arielle asked in an amused tone. “You think that little piece of wood can beat me?”
“It can do much more than that.” Tom hissed dangerously, holding his wand aimed at Arielle. “I will completely obliterate you.”
As the bright yellow light left his wand and hit her squarely in the chest, sending her flying across the room, a smirk was planted mockingly on her lips. She would be back, bigger, better and stronger. Tom stood over the lifeless form of his once true love and sneered.
“This was for the best of the wizarding world.” He whispered painfully. “There can’t be two of us... there just can’t.”
He picked her up in his arms and took her back to her dorm room. Laying her on the bed peacefully, he took his wand and put the tip to the brick wall. Tracing the outline of a door, a blue beamed trailed after his wand. The stones opened up and he stepped back to pick Arielle up again and he entered the tunnel.
“True love will only find you...” Tom said as he conjured a throne made of silver and black, the details of serpents around bleeding heart. Sniffing lightly, he sat her on the throne, positioning her in a royalty like position. “True love doesn’t work when surrounded by magic. So my love,” he knelt down and kissed her hand. “You shall never be found and you shall never wake. This is our goodbye.”
He stood back on last time, held his wand, aimed at her, “Stonetemptus!” a silver beam emitted from his wand; he turned away as her seated form turned into a glittery stone. “Goodbye, Arielle.”
