Chapter One: The Legend



Hello =). So it’s been quite a while since Remus decided to play…he’s a bit shy. But, lucky lady that I am he decided to come out for a bit and give us a story. Hope you enjoy it…


Warning: As always, AU/AR, you won’t find much, if any, canon fodder here. The NT/RL relationship never happened nor did the RW/HG relationship. (never saw it as possible if I am honest, hence the reason I write fanfiction =) to make it the way I wanted it) So as usual, if you don’t like AU/AR then my stories are not for you.


This isn’t a long fic, nor are the chapters very long…but I hope you like it anyhow =)

LEGEND OF THE BLACK MOON

Every thousand years there is a night near the winter solstice when there is no moon, a black moon, in place of the full moon. On this night because the light of the moon is not seen those affected by lycanthropy are given a reprieve from the painful transformation into their werewolf form. While they are saved from the transformation they are still victims to the needs of the wolf.


Aggression runs high and the urge to mate is unbearable. They are just as dangerous during this time as they are during a normal full moon. Do not make the mistake of believing them harmless simply because of appearances.


The werewolf community refer to it as the ‘suicide moon’ because more werewolves commit suicide on this night than any other. For some, the emotional strain is too much for their fragile, human bodies to endure. It is believed that the transformation into the stronger, more sturdy form of the wolf makes it possible for them to tolerate the intense urges that come with their affliction. There is no known potion or spell to appease these instincts or to make the night easier for them to bear.
