Severus was only fifteen. Only one month ago he lost his best friend, the one he went to for help and now he could hear his mom and Tobias fighting. He’d seen it when he was younger. His dad, Tobias Snape, was a muggle and hated his mom, Eileen Prince, because she didn’t tell him she was a witch until they were married. He could hear his mom yell at Tobias to stop. But he couldn’t stop him so he just sat in his room.

~He’s drunk again, it’s time to fight
She must have done something wrong tonight
The living room becomes a boxing ring
It’s time to run when you see him clenching his hands

Severus could hear her scream again. He knew what Tobias, he never called him dad, was doing what he always does. So Severus sat there zapping flies off his ceiling and missing Lily.

~I hear her scream from down the hall
Amazing she can even talk at all
She cries to me ‘Go back to bed’
I’m terrified that she will wind up dead in his hands

He remembered when he was seven and Tobias got mad at him for getting into his books. Tobias shouted at him, making him cry. Then, and this was the worst, Tobias hit Severus so hard that it knocked him down.

Severus heard Tobias call his mother useless. This enraged him, she wasn’t useless to him. He loved his mother no matter what. Then he heard a loud smack and her falling to the ground. He hated when Tobias did this because there was nothing he could do. She was in control of the situation, and she did nothing. All he was was a stupid muggle.

~Just tell the nurse you slipped and fell
It starts to sting as it starts to swell
She looks at you… she wants the truth
It’s right out there in the waiting room with those hands

I can hear her shout no. From what I remember as a kid, he’s probably stripped her by now. If so then he plans to rape her and leave marks that can’t be seen. God I hate Tobias so much, he makes me sick.

He doesn’t do this often but when he does, he’s extremely angry. When he’s done with her he’ll probably move on to me. He’ll hit me a few times, then he’ll call me worthless and leave. It’s normal when he’s drunk and mad.

It’s the next day and I ask mom why she’s with him when he hurts her so much. She only tells me that she loves him. How can she love him? I understand love though, I do and always will love Lily Evans. She’s so beautiful, and sweet and funny. God I miss her.

Same old shit just on a different night
She grabs the gun, she’s had enough

Pulls the trigger just as fast as she can… never again~

It’s happening again tonight, only this time in front of me. He throws her down on the ground and starts to rape her again. She stares at me scared. I pull my wand out, oh well if I get in trouble. I blast him off. Then I ‘Avada Kedavra’ him. He’s gone forever, I’m happy for once this summer.
