Rebirth of Merlin
(Author Note: This is the first time I have used this site to post a story. So please bare with me. The summary is not to my liking however I hope you enjoy this story with all the twists I have placed inside. And I will say that this story is an AU. That's the only way I will write.)
Prologue:
June 1980
Albus Dumbledore was inside his office beginning an interview for a new Divination Professor,Sybil Trelawney. He was listening to Trelawney explain the in's and out's of tea leaves at the moment. He had to admit she knew her craft. As he turned to retrieve the paperwork for the position, he saw her eyes glaze over while her voice became raspy.
" Merlin shall be reborn as the seventh month dies...The Dark Lord will mark him as an equal...He will have the power the dark lord knows not...Merlin shall be reborn as the seventh month dies."
Albus was listening to her speak when he felt another presence outside the door. When he opened it all he saw was a rat scurring away. He was glad that he re-entered his office quickly or he would have missed the rest of what Trelawney was saying.
"Beware for he shall have great power. If he is betrayed/abused then he shall turn from the light. And become gray forging his army as he grows. If betrayal/abuse are not present then he will remain and vanquish the dark lord with the light lord by his side."
Sybil coughed and blinked her eyes."What did I say?" she asked while completing the paperwork.
Albus told her she had prophecied the rebirth of Merlin. Sybil was happy Albus didn't give the details. She just liked to know the basics of her prophecies.
When his new Professor was being moved into her new chambers he began to think of who the prophecy was about. He only knew two women that were due in July and that was Lilly Potter and Alice Longbottom. He decided he would wait until the children were here before he spoke what he had just heard. Feeling giddy at the thought of Merlin's rebirth he went on with his work.
