“Oh yeah. Yeah, we’re gonna be just fine. Right, Draco?”
Part three (Five Years Later)…
Harry sat by the lake remembering his husband and the tragedy that took him away.
THERE’S BEEN TIMES I’VE FELT LIKE HALF A MAN
LIFE’S HAD ME DOWN ON MY KNEES
“Daddy, daddy, look what I got!” His son announced happily as he ran up to him and climbed up onto his lap.
TROUBLED TIMES I DON’T UNDERSTAND
“What is it, baby?”
“A birthday present from Cain! A broom that really flies!”
WHY THEY HAPPEN TO ME
I HAVE STRUGGLED THROUGH THE DARKNESS
I HAVE FOUND THE LIGHT OF DAY
Harry kissed the side of Draco’s head before letting him go so he could try out his present.
“Draco, not too high, you could fall.”
BUT IF I LOST YOU

Later that day, Harry and Draco were getting the boat ready for the ride to the island in the center of the Hogwarts lake the three of them took every year. Draco moved all the picnic stuff from the dock to the boat, put the ramp down for Harry to board, then put the blocks behind the wheelchair tires so it wouldn’t move.
LIKE A SHIP WITH NO HARBOR
LIKE A BIRD WITH NO WINGS
LIKE A FISH OUT OF WATER
A DREAMER WITHOUT A DREAM
I HAVE LEARNED ABOUT LOSING
I COULD LOSE MOST ANYTHING
Cain made his way to them, carrying Draco’s birthday cake.
BUT IF I LOST YOU
“Harry, this time you two go on without me.” Cain said, turning to Harry with a meaningful look.
THERE’D BE NO SUNSHINE SHINING THROUGH
“You need to be with your old man.” He added to Draco, giving him a hug.
I DON’T KNOW WHAT, IN THE WORLD I WOULD DO

They waved goodbye as they drove away. They laughed and joked, and Harry even let Draco sit on his lap and drive a little. But most of all they enjoyed each others company.

As the boat slowly approached the island, Draco turned to Harry with a sad smile and asked,
“Daddy, why do we always come here on my birthday?”
“Well, sweetheart, it’s kinda your Dad’s special day too. Besides, I know he’d want to see you.”
Harry kissed his baby before he slipped from his lap, then sighed deeply while looking at the tombstone.
