Lifetime of Bliss
Hermione woke up with several different aches in her body, including her head. She felt something or someone lying on top of her small torso, she opened her eyes to discover a mass of black curls in her face and a young girl hugging her as if her life depended on it. Slowly, but carefully, Hermione removed herself from the clutches of the little girl and took a quick shower before the girl woke up.
After her shower, Hermione dressed in her best Sunday dress and combed her hair into sleek curls before the girl decided to wake up.
“Good Morning mummy!” the little girl said, as Hermione was applying very little amounts of lotion on her arms.
“Good morning Lizzy” replied Hermione smiling at her five year old daughter.
Hermione could not help but smile at her daughter. She was very much like both her parents in many ways. She inherited her father’s graceful manners, sense of direction, and very mucho of his eye and hair color, and her mother’s thirst for knowledge, pale complexion, and curly hair (but Hermione was glad the curls were thin). She was definitely a good combination of the two.
“Are we going anywhere today Mummy?” Lizzy asked her mother, as she left the bed to use the bathroom.
“Don’t you remember about Uncle George’s wedding?” Hermione asked her daughter, making sure she washed her hands and brushed her teeth.
“Yes!”-exclaimed Lizzy through a mouthful of toothpaste. “I get to be the flower girl!”
“Yes, while Cousin James is the ring bearer,” said Hermione as she retrieved the dress Lizzy was to wear for the day.
Hermione dressed Lizzy silently, before leaving to wake up her two-year-old twins. Funny, Hermione thought as she headed towards their room, that after years of dealing with children and hating them to death, her husband had finally fathered three children in which he loved so dearly. However, as she started feeling tears well up in her eyes, Hermione stopped all thoughts of her husband and decided to wake up her two youngest.
It was not an easy task dressing twins without the help of another adult. Usually it was Molly Weasley helping her with the twins, but at the moment she was fussing over her son’s wedding.
Finally at ten, when the children were dressed and had eaten, the small family was ready to go to the Burrow and attend the wedding of the fourth Weasley son. The car drive was not long; it was only several miles on the motorway south before Hermione saw the exit to the town nearby the Burrow. She drove for another couple of minutes before seeing the Weasley home in view.
A very tired and pregnant Ginny Potter (nee Weasley) at the front gates of the area met the family. “Thank goodness you arrived early!” she exclaimed helping one of the twins out of the car, “Mum is going mad!”
“Well at least you have another person to talk to besides her,” Hermione said as she grabbed a nicely wrapped present and handed it to Lizzy so she could carry one of the twins.
“At least she’s not as bad as she was when Harry and I were getting married,” replied Ginny as they walked down the path towards the house.
“I remember that,” laughed Hermione, “the look on her face when she saw that I didn’t fit in the bridesmaid gown anymore!”
“I remember that too!” Ginny said, “She had a field day when you finally told her that you were pregnant.”
“Well all of her fussing was worth it” Hermione replied as they approached the house.
The rest of the day went by quickly for Hermione. The wedding was perfect and the bride and groom looked beautiful together. Around nine o’clock at night, Hermione said her good-byes and left to go home and enjoy the rest of her evening reading to her children.
Once they were home, Hermione, with the help of Lizzy, put the twins to bed. Afterwards, Hermione tucked Lizzy into her proper bed in her proper room, but as she was about to leave the room, Lizzy finally asked her mother the question she wanted to ask all day.
“Mummy, when did you and Daddy get married?” she asked looking at her mother with interest.
Hermione closed her eyes before turning around to tell her daughter the story. She was bound to ask the question sometime that day.
“Well it was only eight years ago when we married” Hermione replied hoping that was all her daughter asked.
“But why did you marry him?”
Hermione lay next to her daughter, ready to tell her why she married her father. “It started in my last year at Hogwarts and the Ministry passed a new law saying that all muggle-borns that were of age had to marry in order to produce more children. And of course, I was eligible to be petitioned for marriage by any pureblood wizard, no matter what the age is. One of the petitioners was a bad wizard, whom everyone knew would treat me bad.”
“So you married daddy instead?” Lizzy interrupted.
“Hush now I’m getting there,” Hermione whispered. “Anyway, all of my friends were in an uproar about this but could not do anything about it. So professor Dumbledore went to the ministry to tell them that I was already engaged to Professor Snape before the law had passed and that we were to be married that Christmas. Luckily, the minister said that it was fine as long as he was present at our wedding. So we had to get married.
“When Christmas arrived, Professor Snape and I married with everyone we knew in attendance. We tricked everyone into thinking that we were happy together, but we were not happy. He was not happy being married to a student and I was not happy with being married to someone with whom I have called ‘Professor’ for almost t seven years.
“But we finally came to terms with each other and became friends. I cannot recall when we fell in love with each other, but it happened on a rainy night when we confessed our love,” Hermione took a moment to reflect on the first intimate moment they shared before continuing her story. “For several months we shared a lifetime of bliss that most forced marriages experience until I found out I was pregnant with our first child. But even then, we were still happy with each other and we were happy when the twins were born too.”
“Are you still happy?” Lizzy asked sleepily before falling asleep without an answer.
“Of course we are” whispered a voice from the door.
Looking up, Hermione saw the one man that meant the whole world to her. There leaning against the doorframe, wearing black teaching robes and looking weary, was none other than her husband Severus Snape.
“How long have you been standing there?” Hermione asked, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“The whole time” he replied with a flourish. “Now come to bed, I wish to spend time with my young wife before the children come and destroy our ‘lifetime of bliss’.”
“Alright” said Hermione, leaving her daughters bed and following her husband down the hall and into the room they share.
Once the door was closed, Severus took the opportunity to attack his wife’s mouth and slam her against the door. Hungrily, Severus’ right hand snaked its way up his wife’s pajama shirt, squeezing her tender breasts. Hermione moaned into his mouth, which turned him on a great deal than what he was already.
“Oh god Severus” Hermione hissed, “I need you inside me now!”
“Your wish is my command,” he whispered in her hear silkily, making Hermione extremely wet, before carrying her to the bed.

Hermione woke up with several different aches in all the right places of her body. She felt something or someone lying on top of her small torso, she opened her eyes to discover a head of black hair in her face and a large body almost on top of her. Severus always ended up squishing Hermione in the middle of night.
“Are you still happy Hermione?” came a voice from the head on her chest.
“Of course I’m happy Severus” she replied, “If I wasn’t I would’ve left a long time ago. Besides, I cannot raise four children by myself.”
“Four?” asked Severus confused at what she said. Last time he checked, they had three children, and then it dawned on to him. “Are you...?”
“Yes” replied Hermione with a large grin on her face.
The End!
A/N: I hoped you all liked it!
