Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
New Arrivals
I began this story two years ago. And after reading it I decided to remove it and start over. Hopefully with a little more direction and plot this time. As an FYI, the sex will take a while. I have a whole 7 books planned, don't know if all will get written. Although I'd like to since I have some amazing ideas. Let me know what you think though. Sorry if it doesn't get updated frequently as I have work and school. I will try to get a once a week update. I'm going to be going through some of my other stories as well and editing. Maybe even finishing my card game series.

Lysander walked from compartment to compartment, trying to find one that was empty. He was throughly exhausted from being near mass amounts of people. He wasn’t sure how he’d make it through the year. He wouldn’t complain though, anything was better than the orphanage. Finally he came upon a compartment that appeared to be empty, except for a single blonde haired boy. Sighing with relief he opened the door, and entered the compartment. The blonde boy looked up from his book at the sign of entry.
“If your going to be loud you might as well leave now.” Ash informed him matter-of-factly. Ly examined the boy. Clean expensive robes, perfectly styled hair, and clear porcelain skin. He’s either gay or a purebred. Since he was only 11, Ly doubted he knew what being gay meant.
“It’s not polite to stare.” Ash once again informed the boy. Every time Ash spoke he appeared to be just another stuck-up snobby purebred. Ly could tell that was not his intention. He meant the things he said to be informative. And to him they were fact. But to someone, who didn’t know or understand him, well they would think the worst. Which might explain why his compartment was empty.
“Sorry, I’m Ly.” Ly introduced himself extending his hand in greeting.
“Ash” the boy replied accepting his hand in a shake. Ly flinched as he expected memories to assail him at Ash’s touch. Nothing happened. Ly smiled in relief, he wasn’t sure why he didn’t get his memories. He was just glad he was spared the discomfort.
Just as Ly began to relax into the silent ride to Hogwarts, he heard screeching voices approaching. Ly looked up to see that Ash hadn’t even noticed. Almost as if he was used to it.
“ASHLEY! HAVE YOU SEEN SALT?!?” a blonde girl who looked like Ash screeched desperately as she entered the compartment. She was followed by another blonde haired girl who had similar looks. Triplets, Ly thought.
“No, Pepper. The last time I saw Salt was in the kitchen at home.” Ash told her with a smirk. Ly just continued to look on in confusion, “Didn’t Dinah have Salt?” Ash asked. The other girl, barely containing a smile said, “No, I haven’t seen Salt since lunch.”
“I hate you all, and your not funny” Pepper told them trough clenched teeth. Ash and Dinah just continued to laugh at their sisters pain.
“Doesn’t the trolley cart have Salt?” Ly asked still slightly confused, but was almost certain they weren’t referring to actual Salt. Ash and Dinah just laughed harder at his comment. Pepper glared at the boy she had yet to be introduced to.
“Who are you anyway?” Pepper spat with irritation.
“Pepper.” Ash warned, “Manners” Pepper scoffed at Ash’s warning as she continued to glare at Ly.
“Ly, my name’s Ly.” Ly explained.
“Well, Ly mind your own business.” Pepper told him with half-teasing as she gave him a playful shove. Ly laughed at her initial reaction, until she touched him. Her memories hit him hard, like a ton of bricks. His eyes turned snow white as the memories flashed on through. His chest slowly burned, his head throbbed, and his breathing quickened. Ly closed his eyes trying to stamp down the memories of her 5th birthday to her memories of a fire, even of being beaten by someone. He couldn’t see who, maybe it was a dream. He tried to focus on his breathing, putting the memories out of his mind. They weren’t his, he shouldn’t have to carry them. When Ly opened his eyes, he realized he had three pairs on him.
“Ly are you okay, Pepper what did you do?” Ash exclaimed.
“I didn’t do anything. I barely touched him.”
“It wasn’t Pepper. It’s just something. I can’t really explain. Just...can we just drop it?” Ly asked hoping they would just let it go.
“Of course. I’m sure you’ll tell me when your ready.” Ash said with complete confidence.
“Thanks” Ly breathed a breathe of relief. He was glad for his new found friends. Maybe things won’t be so hard after all.
“Pepper, Dinah why don’t you guys go hang out with the others? Let him rest some.”
“Yeah” “Feel better Ly”
Pepper and Dinah turning towards the compartment exit.
“Pepper.” Ly said waiting for Pepper’s attention, “Check compartment C-3. Salt should be in there. Weird name for a cat by the way. Don’t ask how I know, I just do.” Ly said hoping she wouldn’t react to suspicious of him. Pepper just shook her head in agreement and dashed off the find her feline companion. After Pepper and Dinah left, tension filled the air. Ly knew Ash was curious, but was thankful he didn’t press him.
“Do you have siblings?” Ash asked breaking the silence.
“No, wish I did.” Ly told him. Wish I had parents, he told himself.
“Not if they were in you face ALL THE TIME.” Ash joked dramatically.
“Can’t be that bad.” Ly said.
“That’s because you just don’t know. You see there was this time...” Ash began to go on and on about his sisters and their adventures. Ly just sat and listened, reveling in the peacefulness of his new friends company.
After arriving to the school all the first years began boarding the boats. Ly and Ash joined a boat with Otto, Todd, and Jean-Luc. After securely seating themselves in the boat, the boat pushed off the shore, and drifted by magic towards the castle. Todd jumped at the sudden movement, and had the boat been a muggle boat it would have tipped.
“‘TODD!” Otto exclaimed jerking him to his seat.
“Iz like he never see a boat before” Jean-Luc said with his french accent.
“Not a boat, just magic.” Ash teased.
“I’ve seen more magic than you!”, Todd said indigently, “Harry Potter is my sister’s best friend.” As if that explained everything. Ash, Otto, and Jean-Luc looked at Todd with surprise. Ly smirked at Todd’s cockiness and told him, “Good. Maybe he’ll give you private lessons. You’ll need it.” Which seemed to lighten the mood and wipe the smugness right off Todd’s face.
The Great Hall was beautiful as always. Four long vertical tables extending from the back of the hall to the front where they met one long horizontal table, where the staff were seated. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin banners waved proudly over their designated tables. The second through seventh years were already seated, and conversing with the rest of their house mates. The ceiling was displaying a clear night sky, and aromatic candles floated in the air. The flame flickering with the slight breeze. Lovely scents of lavender drifted through the air, relaxing the students and teachers after the long journey, and making them feel as if they had finally come home. Yep, there was no doubt about it. Hogwarts was an addiction.
The first years treaded down the center aisle. Some ‘oooing’ and ‘aahing’ at the sight, others continued their conversation as if they were not surprised. After the students entered the room, Professor Flitwick, who was standing on a stool, announced, “When I call your name please sit on the stool, I will place the hat on you head, and you will be sorted into your house. But first.” The professor placed the hat on the stool, and everyone awaited his song. The hat came to life as he sang his song;
“10 years ago I gave a song of warning, and a history of our founders. Four friends who stood tall and true. With a mission to make their dreams come true. Four houses united on the knowledge front. Gryffindor was brave, Slytherin was sly, Ravenclaw wise, and Hufflepuff kind. Together they built a legacy named Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. To which you attend today. But warnings again I must give, just like before. We must unify the school, or it’ll end for sure. Because there are dangers you see, that are coming from afar. Things will change this year, soon you’ll see. There are things you can not see. Faded memories, haunted dreams. But don’t be afraid, and don’t get in a flap. I’m clean after all. I’m just a hat.”
Professor Flitwick picked up the hat and spoke, “Todd Matthew Granger.” Todd hesitantly approached the stool, but didn’t sit down. Instead he stared at the hat with distaste.
“Todd, what are you doing?”Harry asked from his seat at the staff table.
“Do you realize that thousands of people have worn that thing on their head? How do I even know it’s clean?”
“I believe he said he was clean” Harry tried to assure Todd.
“How does he know he’s just a hat? He could have lice and not know it?” Todd exclaimed.
“Lice?” Harry asked. He couldn’t believe Todd would even suggest something so ludicrous.
“Yeah, you know the little tiny bugs that infest your head like vampires, sucking your blood.”
“Todd, please just put the hat on. If you don’t you won’t get sorted and I’ll have to take you home.”
Todd hesitantly looked at the hat again, before gathering his courage to sit down. Once seated Professor Flitwick placed the hat on his head. After a few moments the hat bellowed, “GRYFFINDOR!”, throughout the hall. Todd jumped at the sudden boom of noise, and fell off the stool onto the ground below. The hall roared in laughter. Ash took pity on him and rushed to help him right himself. “Thanks” Todd said before making his way to the Gryffindor house table.
Professor Flitwick continued to read off names, and sort the first year students. Otto and Ly were in Gryffindor, Ash and Jean-Luc in Slytherin, and Pepper and Dinah were in Ravenclaw. As Jean-Luc stepped down and walked toward the Slytherin house table. Professor Flitwick waited for some of the noise to subside before calling out the next and last name. Looking down to his scroll he stuttered, “Es...Esmeralda...Esmeralda Riddle.” The teachers and older students tensed at the name. Those who knew it that was, most of the younger students were oblivious but quieted nonetheless. Harry just prayed she wasn’t related to Voldemort. He finally wanted to have a normal life. The girl had dark hair, and olive skin. She seemed quiet and withdrawn. Almost shy. She sat on the stool, and before the hat could even touch her head it shouted, “RAVENCLAW!” The room erupted into cheers. Reminding Harry of when he was sorted. He wanted to be in Gryffindor when he was younger because he thought house loyalty meant something about ones character. But as he got older he soon learned how wrong he was. Harry glanced to Malfoy at the end of the staff table. Malfoy looked at Esmeralda intently, as if he recognized her. He eyes suddenly large with familiarity, as if it finally hit him. He would have to ask him about it. Although that would require talking to Malfoy. And even though he forgave old rivalries long ago, he has never become friendly with Malfoy. Harry often saw Blaise, since him and Hermione started dating. He knew Blaise planned to propose soon. And he was glad, they were good together. But even so, Malfoy was never around. Which was weird since Blaise and Malfoy were Best mates. Well, thought Harry, that would have to change.
