Hey everyone I started this awhile back and thought I'd post it. I was wondering if anyone would like to be my beta? please? =] I really want to make my stories better but I need someone's help. Well heres chapter 1 hope you enjoy it!

“When will this bloody day end?" Hermione mumbled to herself as she finished rinsing the soap off her hands. She looked up at the mirror and adjusted a few curls that were out of place. She sighed and hurriedly began walking towards the Great Hall where she was. I'm supposed to meet Harry, Ron and Ginny for lunch “I have so much homework to do, and I have a project to work on for potions and I have to reread chapters 5-7 for DADA and"
"Well, well, well…if it isn't Granger" Draco said as he leaned against the wall of the narrow hallway with a smirk on his face.
Hermione rolled her eyes "Do you wait for me outside bathrooms now Malfoy?" she smirked
"I just so happened to be in the neighborhood and thought I'd see what my good friend Granger was up to" he said with sarcasm dripping off every word
"Awww, isn't that nice of you?” She said as she faked a smile and attempted to push past him
"and just where do you think you're going?" Draco said as he grabbed her arm pulling her back to her original location.
"Like I said I have a lot to do, now if you don't mind…" Hermione pulled her arm from his grasp and began to move forward. Draco quickly pulled her back and took his place against the wall with a smile on his face
"Honestly Granger has anyone ever taught you any manners?" he said as he crossed his arms over his chest occasionally admiring his well manicured nails.
"Malfoy do you really find it necessary to torment me at this very moment? You have all the time in the world later in the evening. I mean come on, its bad enough I not only have every class with you but I also have to share a common room with you. Now please, if you don't mind I have somewhere that I have to be."
Draco looked down at her, she was begging him to let her go and he loved every second of it. "Well I'm assuming you're on your way to lunch, hmm… I'll join you" he said as he linked her arm in his and began walking towards the Great hall.
"Draco, this really isn't necessary, and why in Merlin's name do you want to join me for lunch?"
"We have to set an example don't we? Being Head Boy and Head Girl and all it wouldn’t be right if the first years saw us bickering and fighting all the time" He said as he stopped in front of the Great Hall entrance and brushed off his robes and fixed his hair in the reflection of a window nearby.
"Yes I suppose you’re right but…”
"No buts Hermione come now" he said as he opened the door for her.
All conversations came to a stand still, and all eyes turned to look at the head boy and head girl. Draco nodded at his friends over at the Slytherin table, who nearly choked on their food the second the realized who was on Draco Malfoy's arm.
"Draco I don't know about this" Hermione said under her breath as she read the lips of one of the Slytherin students, who was undoubtedly saying ‘What in the bloody fucking hell’ Hermione gripped Draco's arm a little harder as if this would bring some sort of protection from all the eyes that were watching their every move.
"Nonsense, where is that Gryffindor courage? "
"I think it stayed behind somewhere at the entrance of the hall"
"Well it is too late to turn back now isn't it, come on not much further."
The walk to the Gryffindor table seemed to take hours and the entire time everyone stared. Even the professors had stopped eating and were looking over in their direction. Hermione looked to where her friends were seated and cursed them for choosing the furthest seats from the entrance. Hermione giggled to herself as she saw the looks on her friend's face.
"Hermione, why the hell are you bringing him to lunch?" Ron spat as he began to stand.
"Weasley don't be so rude, you can ask my why I chose to accompany Ms. Granger for lunch." Draco said as he sat down besides Hermione. "To tell you the truth if you did ask me I couldn't give you an answer."
"Come on Ron it's only for today just stop gawking and enjoy your lunch" she interrupted before Ron could say anything else. Hermione looked over at Harry and at Ginny and gave them a 'come on lets get this over with look' and took a sip of her pumpkin juice. Harry shrugged and took a spoonful of mashed potatoes from the bowl in front of him.
"So Hermione how far along are you on your potions project?" Draco looked over at her and waited for an answer.
"Actually at the moment I'm stuck. I'm not really sure in what direction I want to take it." Hermione put down her fork and looked over at Draco
"Well after this I was planning on going back to the common room but I suppose I can change my plans and go to the library instead, and if you like we can work on it together."
Hermione stared at this person who was sitting beside her. She couldn't believe her ears! First lunch now this? She had never imagined this would happen, nor did she ever care for it.
"Malfoy are you alright? Have you been drinking? What is this really all about?"
"Yes, I'm alright. No, I haven't been drinking and can't a student ask a fellow student to spend some time together working on a project?" He said as he gently placed his hand on Hermione's arm.
"I need to go grab some books and scrolls and then I'll meet you in the library, is that alright?"
"Yes of course" Draco stood up and grabbed his things "Well thank you for lunch everyone, and I'll see you in a while Hermione" Draco smiled at Hermione and proceeded to walk out of the Great Hall.
"Hermione are you sure everything will be alright?" Ginny asked a bit concerned for her friend
"You know Ginny no, no I'm not sure." Hermione smiled at her friends and picked up her things and left the Great Hall.
