Nan.

Anne 'Nan' Ashford woke up on a Saturday morning, yawning. She had probably pressed the snooze button on her her alarm clock about 9 times before she woke up. Though when she looked around her dorm the other girls in her dorm except Ginny seemed to be asleep. Maud Brooks, Phillipa 'Phil' Gordon were still snoring and tossing about on their sleep.

Ginny on the other hand seemed to be chewing on a piece of her hair while writing something in her diary, it seemed to be a bad habit of Ginny's while Nan's bad habbit was biting her nails, not that she cared how her nails looked like. In fact Maud was always complaining about Nan being sloppy and not caring how she looked. Phil didn't seem to mind very much but she thought Nan hung out with the boys just a bit too much.

Nan stretched and ran her hand through her hair, making it even messier than normal. She went over to Ginny bed and looked over Ginny’s shoulder to see what she was writin. Ginny quickly slammed her old ratted, brown paperback notebook shut, aware that Nan was reading her diary. Nan didn’t read a lot though she was sure that she saw the word Harry with heart next to that name. “You like Harry don’t you?” Nan asked cheekily with a mysterious smile. Ginny looked at Nan with a face that said. ‘Well, duh. What do you think?”.

“Let’s play a game of truth or dare!” suggested Ginny.

“Gin, it’s the morning how can anybody think?!” she asked.

“ But fine... I pick truth -it was just too early for dares- *yawn*."

“Which boy do you like?” Ginny asked, her eyes dancing happily.

Eurghh! Thought Nan, should have seen that one coming!

“ I like... Neville.” she said in a very Neville-ish way, then she burst out laughing realizing how ridiculous that sounded.

“Neville? You? You like Neville?” Ginny asked, bewildered but very excited. “Jeez! You two are so different. Neville’s a bit wet really. And you... are quite... umm...erm...” said Ginny struggling to find a word that was the opposite of wet. “Um... You’re quite dry really. ”

Nan bit her lip trying hard not to laugh.

“Out of all the words you could use, you use dry! Great vocabulary, Ginny Weasley. Anyways, he’s not that wet. I mean,didnt he fight with you last year with oooh... Harry Potter?”

“Good point, he is quite brave.” said Ginny.

“So, do you think he likes you?” she asked. “What, me?” Nan asked pointing to her messy light brown hair and her oversized bed clothes. “I don’t think so!”

“Fine, if you’re so insecure about your looks, then me, Maud and Phil will have to give you a makeover! said Ginny

Nan was not pleased about that. She would rather stay in school practicing quidditch while everybody else was in Hogsmeade.

“Aww... come one it’ll be fun!” said Maud, Phil wad nodding and agreeing with Ginny too. Nan didn’t even notice that those two were awake! Nan thought about it for a while, if it works, Neville might notice her.

“Okay, fine. I’ll do it.”......

Ginny got dressed and quickly went downstairs before the others. She wanted to tell Ron, Hermione and Harry about Anne and Neville. When she got down she quickly spotted Ron. With his Weasley hair, he wasn't hard to miss. "Hello!" she said to Harry while blushing and waving to the others.

"You're early." said Ron. "Yah I wanted to tell you guys something. Do you know who Nan is? " she asked. "Do you mean Anne Nashford?" said Hermione. "Oh that girl, I know her, you're not trying to match me up with her are you?" said Ron. "What's wrong with her? Anyways she told me that she liked Neville. So me and the girls are giving her a makeover, what do you think." asked Ginny. Hermione knotted her brows together,"Ehh.... It might work." she said.

"Ok."
