Classes of Warcraft
Hello all. I am so horrible I know. I just have so many good ideas, but they always pull me in different directions. This is going to be a shortie PWP. I am not sure how long, I am just writing as I go. I promise that my other stories will be finished. I can’t stand finding a good story, only to find it has been discontinued. I need a beta, so if anyone is willing, you know what to do.

Chapter One: Old Dogs, New Tricks
Severus Snape sat moodily at the High Table, picking at the meal before him on the first of September. His coal eyes swept over the New Year’s student body. The little miscreants are talking loudly amongst themselves, stuffing their faces. He frowned, cursing silently under his breath, as he thought of all the new little dunderheads that would plague his dungeon. He just pushed his plate away, his hunger suddenly turning to nausea, when the feast it self vanished and the Headmistress stood once more to address the students.
“Now that our bellies are filled and we turn in for the night to our warm beds, I have an announcement to make. There is a new class and teacher that will be available only to the students who can qualify for it.” An eruption of whispers spread across the Great Hall. “And as this is the only school offering this new class, there are a few adults coming to take the class as well. The class will take place once a week in the forbidden forest and will be made available only to the seventh years.” Protests were sounded at that note. “I must warn you that this is a dangerous class, and only those who are serious and have a skill in wandless magic can take it. You can put in an application for this class with your head of house. Those who are still under age, need to have a permission form signed. Now first years, follow the Prefects from your house to your dormitories, the rest of you are dismissed. Good night.”
*************
Over the next few days Severus had received several applicants, just as the other Heads of House. They all went through each application, interviewing the students, some with parents for those under age, and those without. Each student was tested in their aptitude with wandless magic, and underwent thorough psychological exam. They would have to endure strenuous magical expenditures as well as facing things that no one had ever encountered before. The students may see things that would mentally damage them, so the headmistress took measures to prevent liabilities by weeding out those of weaker minds.
The final product is twenty one students and seven adults, a few of whom are Aurors. The adults had to pay a tuition fee for the class that would last to the end of the school term. Minerva Mcgonagall is still in debate for advanced classes. At the end of the year, pending on how well this class does, she would decide on the proper course of action. The first class began this Saturday, directly after lunch. The students that would attend talked excitedly in little groups.
On Saturday morning, several of the adults arrived to join their classmates in lunch. A few staff members are a part of the seven. They sat talking quietly over their meals. Over the din of chatter, the gravely voice of Caretaker, Argus Filch could be heard as he approached the High Table. He hobbled up to Minerva with a scowl on his face.
“Headmistress, that teacher of yours is here. She is waiting in the hall.”
“So, show her in Argus.”
“But Madame, she won’t dismiss her creature… She rides it in the castle!” He argued, disgruntled that she rode an animal is inside the halls of the castle.
“Never mind that Argus…”
“But-”
“Now Argus, before I lose my patience!” He growled lowly to him self, turning sharply on his heel and marched to the entrance of the great hall. Minerva stood, clearing her throat to get the attention of everyone. “If I may have your attention… The teacher for the Warcraft Class has arrived and is being shone in as I speak. I would appreciate it if you would keep your voices lowered as she has sensitive hearing. Please do not stare too much, and show her your utmost respect. Please join me in welcoming-” She was cut off as the doors to the Great Hall opened abruptly and in entered a heavily cloaked woman on the back of what looked like a horse from the depths of hell.
The beast threw its heavily horned head back and let a chilling whinny that echoed in the spacious hall. The neck, chest and rear have heavy armor plating and its skin appeared to be scaled. Fire surrounded its hooves. It burned as well from its eye sockets, nostrils, mane and tail. The creature seemed demonic, but acted as a normal horse would. Its great hooves clacked loudly on the stone floor as it came to a halt before the Headmistress. Not a sound was made for several moments before the woman raised her right hand. Smoke suddenly swirled around her and the mighty steed until neither could be seen. Moments later, the smoke dissipated until only the female could be seen standing alone.
Minerva walked around the table and spoke to the woman in hushed tones. Severus regarded the quiet woman with a sneer. She seemed to be tall as she stood a good head and a half over Minerva’s 5’10”. The cloak she wore left too much to the imagination. It seemed to be drawn over some heavy duty armor that caused it to drape around her, not touching any part of her body. The hood hung so low over her face that all you could see is from the end of her straight nose and down. The two talked for several moments before Minerva addressed the student body once more.
“Well, as I was saying, this is Lady Elana, and she will be the teacher for the new class, this is the only time she will come to the castle to retrieve her students as I will be leading you from now on into the forest. Neville, I trust you to take it from here. Students attending the Warcraft Class, please go to the Main Hall when your name is called.” Turning she followed the new teacher to the Main Hall as Neville Longbottom, Deputy Headmaster, stood with a list in hand.
“Albright, Ashland, Devereux, Donahue…” He read off the list to the students that attended Hogwarts first, only a few names on the list brought a loud murmur amongst the jealous students. “ Malfoy; Scorpius, Potter; Albus- Severus, and Weasley; Rose. Please follow your classmates to where Professor Mcgonagall waits for you. As for the adults, you know the routine. “Lovegood, Malfoy, Potter, Snape, Vector, Weasley and finally Zabini.” Neville looked up to see the adults walk in a group out of the Great Hall to their first day as students again. He smiled and shook his head as lunch resumed.
