A/N. this is nothing new, I took it down to rewrite it to fit my Cain and Abel series. Then I realized that that version might not appeal to everyone so I will keep the original up. There are mild OOTP spoilers and mild references to slash not enough to indicate m/m in my book.


Hermione Granger was sitting in the home library at number 12 Grimmauld Place in an old man’s pajama top reading a huge book on the leather sofa. It was as though she was back at school studying for a test, even though she was no longer attending Hogwarts. She had left in her seventh year to help with the war against Voldemort. It was as it always was, she threw herself into every project that she had ever participated in without a care for herself and her wellbeing.

Something was different about the project to free Harry’s godfather from his prison in the veil three years ago. A mysterious object in the Department of Mysteries said to be the portal between life and death. He was thrown in by a curse by his cousin Bellatrix believed to have killed him. Something broke in her when that happened. She realized that she needed him almost as much as Harry did. So she brought him back after much hard work and research, that she did not remember much. All she remembered was the look in his eyes that said that he was hers forever.

They had consummated their relationship after the death of her parents, casualties in the war with Voldemort. Two more in the long list of friends and loved ones: Dumblerdore, Ron, Mad-Eye Moody, Bill, Tonks, Charlie, Kingsley, all fell like wooden soldiers one by one. Harry insisted that she move in with him Sirius and Remus. They became family, they kept her going, knowing that they needed her to keep them sane. She suspected that Remus and Harry fell in love and where together but too afraid to say anything. She did not mind she was glad Harry and Remus where finally happy.

Her thoughts where interrupted by the man himself looking sinfully delicious in a pair of black silk boxers. He had such a beautiful body so toned and tattooed. It was enough to drive any girl to distraction. He most likely knew it when he gave her a knowing smirk.
“Let me guess you know that Harry and Remus are snogging somewhere and you do not want them to be the only one?”

He only smirked and moved closer to her and knelt in front of her. He caressed and kissed her leg to the inner thigh. “ I was thinking that, you where wearing my dad’s shirt and I want it back” he said with a devilish grin. Then he deftly removed the shirt and pushed it off her shoulders. “Much better” he said in a deep husky voice. He then proceeded to lick and caress each breast. She moaned and ached to him to give him easier access. Somehow in the haze she managed to pull down his boxer shorts.

Tomorrow would be the battle to end all battles. Till death to the veil, to any kind of damnation. She could handle it they will avenge the fallen. She was strong as long as they were together.
