Breaking Point - Lascivious Lupin

Remus Lupin surveyed his seventh year N.E.W.T. class, the last class of their first Monday. Most of the students were still broken into groups based on their houses. The Ravenclaws sat primly at the front of the room, books, quills, and parchment already out and on their desks. In the middle sat the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, though segregated onto opposite sides of the room. In the very back sat his two Slytherin students, a boy and a girl, their arms crossed and sour expressions on their faces. Lupin, despite the face that he was old and far-removed enough from house rivalry to not feel (much) animosity towards a certain house, immediately did not like them.

He passed his glance along the rest of the room, noting who looked like they actually wanted to be there and who slouched in his or her seat, looking like they'd rather be anywhere else. Then his eyes paused on a pair of students who looked slightly out of place.

The two Ravenclaws sat near the front of the room, but as close to the windows as possible, leaving an empty desk between them and the rest of their housemates. The one in the front row desk sat sideways in it, leaning her elbow on the desk of the girl behind her. She had interesting light brown eyes behind a pair of glasses. Her brown hair was pulled back into a messy bun with a few wisps hanging in her face. Her jaw was slightly square-ish, cheekbones not quite prominent, her full lips a lovely shade of pink. There was a Prefect badge pinned to her robes.

The girl sitting behind her was, to put in bluntly, a knock out. She had baby blue eyes and a head of curly reddish-blonde hair, which fell loose around her shoulders. Her face was heart shaped, with a pert little nose and pouty lips. Her figure was obvious even through Hogwarts robes, to which the Head Girl badge was pinned.

The girl in back leaned closer to the brunette and murmured something in her ear. The brunette blushed slightly, but glanced up at Lupin with a smirk and nodded. Then they looked at each other and grinned in a way that made him feel a little warm and uncomfortable.

Shaking his head, Lupin looked at the class at large and smiled.

"Welcome to your seventh year of Defense Against the Dark Arts!" he said. "I'm Professor Lupin, your teacher for the year. Hopefully I'll last." At this, there was a low chuckling. "In any case, I at least hope you'll learn something useful from me. And with that, I'll start with roll."

He picked up the parchment with the names of the students and began calling them out. He noted that the two Ravenclaw girls were Danielle Gaines and Kira Lowell. They both smiled prettily whenever he looked in their direction.

Lupin finally began the class by asking them to write down every Defense spell they could remember, whether they had learned it in class or not. After ten minutes, he collected the papers and began firing off questions. He could tell most of the class was enthusiastic, but they would be impressed the next lesson, after he figured out just how much they hadn't learned. After all he'd heard about the former teachers, he knew he had to cram as much practical knowledge into their heads as possible before they left Hogwarts.

When the bell rang, Danielle Gaines and Kira Lowell exited the class together, both bursting with excitement. They still had a bit of time before dinner, and so made their way to their dormitory. None of their other roommates were there, so the two girls plopped onto Kira's bed.

"I can't believe out luck, Danny!" Kira sighed, grinning. "We've actually got a Defense professor this year who knows what he's talking about and is easy on the eyes!"

Danielle grinned and rolled her eyes. "Unlike Lockhart last year...I can't believe you actually did anything with that revolting man."

"I needed an outlet," Kira grumbled good-naturedly. "The man of my dreams refused to acknowledge my existence and I needed a little release."

"I'm not enough release for you?" her best friend asked, pretending to be hurt.

"You know what I mean," Kira replied, leaning over and pinning the brunette's shoulders to the bed. She loomed over her, smirking. "I love what you do to me." She pressed a kiss on the other girl's lips.

"Mmm. So do you still plan on going after you're 'tall, dark, and handsome'?" Danielle asked, hands sliding along Kira's waist.

"Of course. I plan on shagging Snape senseless before I graduate."

Danielle smirked. "Good. I was afraid for a moment that your attentions may have changed to our new Defense professor."

"No, babe. He's all yours," Kira replied, seeing the look in her best friend's eyes. She pressed another, deeper kiss to Danielle's lips then sat up.

Without needing to speak to each other, they nodded and began to head down to dinner.
