chaper 1: Here he comes
(A year before Harry’s birth) James and Lily had wanted child/children for years now and they had even gotten themselves a new house with a nice garden for the child/children to play in. In addition, James had gotten himself a job with the aurors that paid fairly well, so if they decided to get children they would make it. Lily was good at making potions and she worked with doing potions for St. Mungos, the Wizarding hospital.
A few months later Lily had morning sickness and she thought that she might be pregnant, so she made an appointment with a medi-witch at St. Mungos and she got the answer that she was indeed pregnant. She went home in a state of bliss and when James came home, she hugged him and said
“Honey we are having a kid. We are finally having our own kid.”
James was shocked when he heard what his wife told him, but when the news really hit him, he hugged his wife, laughed, and cried. “Lily I can’t even begin to understand that we are in fact having a child.”
A couple of months later when lily was 6 months pregnant she had already left work a few months earlier so that she could take care of herself and her baby, her little son. She had a feeling that she was going to have a son but James had said that it could be a girl. However, to him it did not matter if it was a girl or a boy, as long as it was a healthy child. The further into the pregnancy she went the more possessive James became, he almost stopped working just to be at home with her and take care of her and the baby so that she didn’t have to overdo herself. However, she just laughed at him and said to him that she would be okay and that she would see him at dinner. The days became weeks, the weeks became months, and soon Lily was in the 8th month of the pregnancy and it became more and harder to be at home all by her so James decided that he was to stay home with her just the two months left on the pregnancy, so that she wouldn’t feel so lonely.
One day when James was out shopping for the lily felt a contraction as soon as she felt it she contacted James with the two-way mirror they had borrowed of Sirius. She began to panic when James did not answer at once when she called him, but after a few minutes when he finally did lily screamed as yet another contraction hit her.
“JAMES! I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW! I THINK THAT I’M HAVING YOUR BABY RIGHT NOW; SO GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!”
“Wha…what are you saying lily? You cannot have the baby right now, it is too early. Nevertheless, do not worry; I am coming home right now. Try to calm down and breathe.”
.” James appareated to their house and found lily crouching on the kitchen floor and holding her stomach. James hurried towards his wife and said, “What are we supposed to do now? Should I firecall your medi-witch? Please honey talk to me.”
“Please James just call the bloody witch. And tell her to hurry!”
James moved to the fireplace, made the firecall to ST. Mungos, and called out: “Please, is someone there? I need to find Marie Stevenson, do you know where she is?”
a young woman came to the fireplace and said, “I haven’t seen her all day, is there an emergency? Do you need another medi-witch or wizard?”
James did not know what to do so he said, “No, we’ll be just fine. Thank you.” He quickly ended the fire call and made another one, to the infirmary at hogwarts. “Poppy, are you there? Oh, please is someone there? HELLO IS SOMEONE THERE!” “Oh, please James keep your voice down. Why are you shouting like that, is something wrong?” James nodded and said, “Lily is having our baby and her medi-witch is gone, no one knows where she is. I do not know where I should turn to, please help me. Help Lily and help our baby.”
“Okay, you have these things ready for me when I get there. I need hot water; blankets and I need Lily in bed. Can you make that happen?” James nodded and then she ended the firecall to make another to the headmaster “Albus, I going away for a few hours. The Potters need me to help them deliver their baby, so you have to take care of things here while I’m gone.” “Of coarse my dear, give them my best wishes.” Poppy nodded and ended the fire call to travel by floopowder to the Potters.
