Harry crept through the trees, getting closer to the clearing where the Death Eaters were camped with their master. The Felix Felicis had told him that the woods around Little Hangleton would be a good place to Apparate to. Sure enough, after Apparating , he had caught sight of a bonfire through the trees and was fast approaching the camp.
At last, Harry came to the break of the forest and stepped around the last tree separating him from his destiny. The camp was full of the remaining Death Eaters, and Voldemort himself was sitting by the fire. Harry took a deep breath and raised his wand.
“Voldemort!” he yelled. Voldemort and all of the Death Eaters turned toward his voice; quite a few of them raised their wands. Voldemort stood and started slowly walking towards Harry, motioning for his Death Eaters to stay back.
“Ah, Harry,” the snake-like villain said. “How nice of you to join us.” A few Death Eaters sniggered. “Finally decide to come out and face me like a man, Harry? Are you tired of the ‘Savoir’ charade?” Harry said nothing, but gripped his wand tighter. Voldemort continued to approach.
“Now, now, Harry, don’t be shy. Tell Lord Voldemort.” Harry watched Voldemort getting closer, but Felix told him to wait. Suddenly, as Voldemort took another step, he stumbled as his foot caught in a mole-hole. The Dark Lord fell, snapping his ankle and falling into Lucius Malfoy. When Lucius stumbled forward, he accidentally hexed Bellatrix Lestrange. Bellatrix screamed and started hexing and Avada Kedavra-ing everyone in sight, as in the Death Eaters, screaming about betrayal to the Dark Lord.
“All of you! Traitors! I am the Dark Lord’s only true servant! Avada Kedavra! Avada Kedavra! Avada Kedavra!”
Meanwhile, Voldemort was sitting on the ground where he had fallen after tripping and looking morosely at his wand, which had broken in two when he had landed on Lucius, who had hit his head on a rock and was unconscious. Harry just stood there, watching the scene unfold.
Voldemort finally regained his senses. “Wormtail! Bring me your wand!”
“Yes, my master!” Wormtail shrieked, running to Voldemort with his wand aloft. Over across the clearing, Bellatrix could still be heard screaming out Unforgivables at the top of her lungs as she dueled with all the other Death Eaters.
Around this time, Lucius regained consciousness, looked around, and saw Wormtail running at Voldemort with a raised wand.
“No you don’t, you little filth!” Lucius cried, blasting Wormtail with the Killing Curse. Wormtail fell to the ground, too far from Voldemort for the Dark Lord to retrieve his fallen wand.
“Avada Kedavra! Avada Kedavra!” Green light was issuing almost constantly from Bellatrix’s wand. “Ha! You’ll have to do better than that, Macnair!” she screamed, blasting Macnair away.
“Lucius!” yelled Voldemort. “Give me your wand!” Lucius, however, was digging a finger in his ear to stop the ringing that he had been hearing since he’d hit his head. Harry chose this moment to approach Voldemort, leveling his wand at Voldemort’s ugly snake-face.
“Voldemort, I have destroyed your Horcruxes. Now I am here to finally finish you off once and for all. For my father, for my mother, Cedric, Sirius, Dumbledore, and everyone else you’ve ever hurt, I am going to kill you now.” Voldemort stared up Harry’s wand to his face, which was set and determined.
“Harry, I don’t have a wand. I am defenseless. To kill me now would be cowardly.” Harry’s eyes flashed.
“Weren’t all those muggles you killed ‘defenseless’? Weren’t the children you killed ‘defenseless’? Wasn’t I ‘defenseless’ when you tried to kill me as a baby? No, Voldemort, you’re not going to get out of this one. You will die here and the world will be all the better without you.”
In the backround, Harry could hear Bellatrix laugh triumphantly. All the other Death Eaters were either dead, dying, or too hexed to move. Bellatrix turned, saw her master under the threat of extinction from the Boy-Who-Lived, and ran towards Harry, determined to end this once and for all.
“Avada Kedavra!” she yelled. The green jet of light closed in on Harry’s back. Harry was still staring down at Voldemort, steeling himself to the task he knew he had to complete. Bellatrix cackled with glee as she saw that her spell was about to hit.
Lucius, the buzzing gone, had stopped digging in his ear and turned toward his master to see Harry poised to kill him. “No, Potter!” Malfoy growled and he threw himself at Harry, tackling him to the ground. As Harry and Lucius fell sideways, Harry saw a jet of green light fly just above Malfoy’s body and strike Voldemort.
“You’re dead, Potter!” Lucius snarled, not seeing the end of his master’s life. Bellatrix screamed as she saw her curse hit her beloved Dark Lord.
“Nooo!” she screeched into the night. Lucius turned his attention away from Harry to see why Bellatrix was screaming Harry took the opportunity to raise his own wand.
“Stupify!” he yelled. Lucius went down for the count. Harry pulledd himself out from under Lucius’ body and turned toward Bellatrix. She was crawling slowly to her master’s side.
“Master!” she wailed. “Oh, Master!” Harry stepped in front of her.
“Stupify!” he said. Bellatrix collapsed on top pf Voldemort’s body. Harry took a deep breath. It was done. He looked around, sighed, and pointed his wand towards the woods.
“Expecto Patronum!” The silver stag erupted out of the end and went galloping off to inform the Order of what had happened.
“All of this because of one little potion.” Harry said aloud. He pulled the small bottle out of his pocket.
“What!?” Harry yelled. The bottle was still full!
“I forgot to take the potion?!”
