HELL IS A PLACE ON EARTH

The midnight sky blazed,screaming a message to the magical community, alone in the Forbidden Forest a young unicorn was whinneying in a mournful melodic hum. A grown female Centaur galloped to find what could be upsetting this most precious creature. What she saw and smelt pressed her to call her mate,she commanded him to go and fetch the lady of the forest. She stayed by the unicorn nuzzling the adolescent murmering comforting phrases whilst keeping an eye on the bloody mass that passed for human lying at her feet. An ethereal being came into her view closely accompanied by the male Centaur.

The Lady Anne of the Forest knelt down looked at the person who was as close to death as one could be this side of the realm and removed from his bloodied head, what she took to be a form of ritual face covering. Immediatley she identified the man as one known at Howgarts. She looked at the sky at correctly interpeted the meaning of all of the signs. She was certain that she had to get this man back to the safety of Howagarts even if this caused her own demise.

Lady Anne made a most remarkable request of the male Centaur, he agreed. Cradling the bleeding, broken man in his arms, Lady Anne on his back he galloped to a small clearing on the edge of the Howgarts grounds. Lady Anne bowed thanked her kind escort, she urged him to leave and at all costs protect the Unicorns and all other magical creatures who inhabitated the forest. She sorrowfully informed the Centaur that she may not be able to continue her life with them and stated that dark times were comming for all. The Centaur hugged Lady Anne and pleaded with her to return safety with him. He knew as well as she, what that sky meant and that the fates could not be denied. She walked a few yards to a cottage and prayed her friend would be able to assist. Lady Anne knocked on the door of the only other human that she had any willing contact with for the last 20 years.

A booming voice called and let her know that she had indeed found him at home. The door opened, at fist sight most people would have ran and kept on running but the half giant smiled and his heart melted to see one of his most favourite people on his doorstep. She could not trust herself to say much instead she put her tiny hand in his and pleaded with him to follow. This he did and soon saw why she needed him.

Hagrid looked down and gently brushed away the raven black straight hair that was now matted with blood and looked back at his friend. He ensured his face was able to be seen for the Lady Anne was deaf

"My Lady,this is the potions master Severus Snape he will be cared for, Dumledore will want to see you personally to thank you for returning him."

"Hagrid my old friend I must bid my leave of you, I have another task to perform before this night is over but before I go I have a message for your esteemed Headmaster, You must hear me clearly Hagrid for I must leave as soon as I can."

Hagrid bowed to show the Lady Anne that she had his full attention

Anne's eyes glassed over and spoke in a monotone voice, what she had to tell Hagrid made his soul shake to the very core of his being

A man who straddles the worlds of dark and light
A toturous soul,a long war he must fight
The maiden whose song he hears
Will turn this man away from his fears
The maidens love will bring him back
And no more will he inhabit a world so black

Born to this world are a group of three
Who with this soul must fight to be free
A boy with a warriors heart and hair of fire
A girl with an intellect that will never tire
A boy marked and whose life ever links
With one whose mind and body in evil sinks
To his death this boy must send
Only this way can the war end

The lady Anne bowed and lightly hugged her friend, whispered goodbye and ran back to the forest

Hagrid quickly scooped Severus from the grass,placed him on his table in his cottage. He laid him down with a gentleness that denied his sheer bulk. He took the simmering cauldren from the fireplace and place some powder in
"Albus, Albus" he wept "I need you now"

Tonight was the night of All Hallows eve and the Start of All Souls Day, otherwise known as the festival of Samhain, the school had made merry and now all had settled down.

In his private rooms, Albus Dumbledore headmaster of Howgarts was sitting in a comfy seat for two with the love of his life Minerva McGonagall Professor of Transfigurations and head of Gryffindor House. He noticed the strange lights in the night sky. He walked over to his windows which widened at his request and looked upon the sight that was before him.

There he saw a rare occurance, a sight that had only been seen once before when the Wizard Merlin was on earth and fighting with his sister Morganna. The verticle eclipse of the dark moon and the convening of three gods to inform the magical community that a time of trial was upon them

In the Sky the multi couloured lights had arranged themselves ino the five points of the pentacle.

The apex being Dark Moon, Spirit/Aether and wisdom,
The west signified New Moon/Air and innocence,
The east Full Moon/Water and fertility respectivley.
The lower west being Wanig Moon/earth and maturity
The lower east Waxing Moon/fire and sexuality.

The lights playing over the moon were displaying the messages of the Gods
The God of War Twi/Mars displyed a blood red bright light
The God Odin/Mercury was represented by a orange yellow beam ,for strength and speed of mind,intellect and communication
The Godess Freya/Venus became The enerald green light meaning fertility, growth beauty and bounty of the mind and soul.

As the eclipse was moving fom north to south from the apex a fourth light became apparent not so bright as the other lights but none the less present all the way through. This was the earthy browny lights of Saturn who promised carefullness caution and conservation.

Albus turned to Minerva to comment on the sight when he heard the base scream of his favoured groundsman. His cry was so urgent that both Albus and Minerva ran to the fire place and immediatly flued to his cottage. When they arrived Minerva immediatly took stock and whispered to Albus that it was Severus.

"My boy what have they done to you" she wept" I do not know if he will survive this time" she looked at Albus knowing that there was something else. Hagrid was bereft alone in the corner telling Albus that his friend was going to die and she had left a message for him. Hagrid passed his message and allowed Albus to withdraw the memory from his mind for later study. Hagrid left them and headed into the forest to aid The Lady Anne. Minerva stopped Crying and using the levitation spell she rushed with Albus to the hospital wing. Severus was barely alive but managed to force enough breath to warn Albus of the impending doom for a good number of the magical world.

Not more than an hour had past when Hagrid had walked with silence into the wing Madam Snoot one the medi witches met him. In his arms lay the battered and defiled body of the Lady Anne. Blood ran down her long blode hair. her face battered to a pulp. Her blue gown was torn from her torso. Her breasts had been sliced open. The skirt of her dress had been ripped apart. Her left leg was cut open and the femur lay at a hideous angle poking through her thigh. A large wooden object was embedded in her vagina. Hagrid placed her gently on a bed, no one could say a word. The Lady Anne was no witch she was a muggle who had devoted her entire adult life to the care of the unicorns. She breathed no more

Severus Snape turned and saw the woman in Hagrids arms, He knew what she meant to this man. Still not a word was spoken. When Severus seen the condition of the woman his own pain seemed meaningless

He looked at Hagrid and knew that a part of this man was dead and would never be revived, he was also aware that Hagrid had stayed with him to ensure his safety over Anne's. He could bare the guilt no longer and with a cry that was almost inhuman, Severus Snape lat out a long anguished wail
