Flashes Before Your Eyes

IT was an odd site for sure. Harry didn’t understand it at all but there it was, as sure as day. People sat around a huge table in the back gardens of the Weasley’s Burrow. So many people from Harry’s life. Some people looked like they belonged there but others couldn’t be more out of place if they were dressed in yellow spandex.

Harry knew them all though. There was him, Ron, Hermione, Mr. And Miss Weasley, the twins, Charlie, Bill, Percy, Ginny, The Dursley family, Remus, Tonks, Mad-Eye Moody, Seamus Finnigan, Dean Tomas, Neville Longbottom, Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall, Flitwick, Sprout, Draco Malfoy, Mr and Miss Malfoy, Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson, various Death Eaters and Voldemort himself.

No one seemed as if this site was somehow strange. In fact, everyone seemed to be quite happy. Talking, laughing, passing bowls and plates of food to each other. Everyone remained in character; Snape looked as horrid as ever while he discussed with McGonagall. The Twins sniggered at some joke that Charlie told them. Moodys magic eye darted around in his head and Voldemort was just as snake like as ever as he took a bread roll from the plate that a smiling Dumbledore held up to him. In short, it was like watching a huge happy family. In fact, it was just like dinner at the Weasley’s.

But the surreal site didn’t last long. The sky turned darker and a strange black cloud built up out of nowhere near the table. There were flashes in the cloud like lightening but green. Everyone around the table began to pull out wands but beams of green energy shot out from the cloud. One hit Voldemort who went flying, landing dead on the ground a few feet away. Everyone began to send various spells at the cloud but they didn’t have any effect.

Harry saw a Death Eater get hit, then Draco. Draco’s parents stood over his body, shouting their spells. McGonagall got struck; Snape grabbed her falling body and fired another spell before being hit himself. Harry saw Remus standing over the body of Tonks, who’d been hit already. Remus got hit in the leg but the energy had the same effect on him as everyone else.

Mrs. Weasley grabbed Ginny’s hand and they began to run away, but two beams shot out of the cloud, one after the other and hit them both in the back. Instead of falling to the ground, their bodies seemed to dissolve like in Star Trek. Dumbledore got hit in the same way.

The beams were getting increasingly closer to Harry. He saw Hermione get hit out of the corner of his eye before his own vision was filled with the green light.

Ron watched Harry toss and turn in his bed. It was four weeks into the summer holidays between their fifth and sixth year at Hogwarts, Harry had arrived two weeks previously having spent two weeks with the Dursleys. He’d had a nightmare almost every night since arriving. Ron asked Harry about it after the first night, but Harry dismissed it as nothing. Ron was going to get Hermione to talk to him about it when she arrives, which is later today.

Coming Up
Chapter One: The Burrow, Diagon Alley and Everything in Between

After picking up Hermione from the train station. The ‘Golden Trio’ makes their way to Diagon Alley to do their shopping for their coming year at Hogwarts. While there, they begin to notice very strange people indeed…

Hagrid makes his story debut in the next chapter, along with a new character.

Hey all! It’s been quite a while since I’ve done anything in the HP world. So long in fact that I’ve made a new account. Lol.

Well that was the Prologue of the story and I promise, actual chapters will be longer than that. I just needed an interesting way to open the story up and I think it worked.

People, I need you to help me shape this story. Lol. I have absolutely no idea what pairings I am going to do for it. ^.^’ It’s going to be a slash pairing, as I am a slash writer, and it’s going to be Harry and someone his age but that’s as far as I’ve got in deciding. So, everyone tell me what you’d like to see.

I was also thinking of Ron/Hermione as a side story, however, I haven’t decided if I want Ron as gay or straight yet. I’ve also got an idea for an OC (yes, I like OC’s) that would be good with Hermione so I might do that instead. What are you opinions on that?

And please, I love reviews so even if you don’t care about which pairings I use, tell me that you are interested in the story. I tend not to continue story’s if I think people aren’t reading it.
