Severus Snape, lead singer and electric guitarist of the Slytherin Snakes, growled angrily at the boy standing in front of him asking for his autograph. He snatched the poster out of the boy's hands, angrily scrawled his signature and all but practically threw the poster back at the boy.
Despite being dismissed so rudely, the boy left with an ecstatic smile on his face.
Severus shook his head, almost amused. No matter how rude he was no one cared; in the end it was chalked up to that Rockstar Diva Attitude.
"Hmm... that one is quite hot..." the voice drawled next to him.
The singer sighed. It was Lucius Malfoy. The most talented Guitarist in all of Britain and the closest thing to a best friend he had. That wasn’t saying much, except that he was the only one Severus really tolerated. "He's a boy, Lucius... put down the fangs. For god's sake, he's younger than your son!" he hissed.
"Huh?" That came from Severus' other side, where Lucius's son was sitting. For some reason, the two blondes had always sat on either side of him at functions and on stage.
Draco Malfoy, bass guitarist and current heart-throb of the world. Women and men from all around the world threw themselves at his feet, just for a smile to be bestowed on them from their favorite prince. One woman had once called him Dragon and the name stuck. His band name was now Draconis.
"Is father hitting on some young groupie again?" Draco asked only half interested. He was too busy smiling for the camera flashing in his face. The girl who took the picture fainted dead away.
Severus sighed and snapped his fingers. In an instant, a burly bodyguard came out from behind them, picked the girl up, threw her over his shoulder and walked off. He put her on the ground in a clearing where 50 more people were littered, all unconscious. Draco Malfoy had that effect on people.
Blaise Zabini laughed outright. He laughed harder when Draco turned and gave him a glare. "What? It was funny!" He defended himself.
The man in question was one Blaise Zabini, the drum player. He and Draco were the same age - twenty. They had been best friends since they were very small, and with Draco's temperament, that was shocking.
Both from a small town right outside of London, the two boys inevitably met.
Draco was on a shopping excursion with his mother. Even at five, everyone noticed him, and he knew it. Always putting on his cutest face and posing. Blaise had been enthralled from the moment he laid eyes on the beautiful boy. Draco had been sucking on a lollipop and looking into the window of a small toy shop. His hands were pressed against the window and watched in delight as the toy maker hooked up the train tracks.
Narcissa, Draco's mother and ex wife of Lucius, smiled indulgently at her son. When she noticed Blaise watching them from a few feet on the sidewalk, she beckoned him over.
The dark headed boy was hesitant, but Narcissa was insistent. As the boy walked slowly up to them, she gave him a bright smile.
"Hi, I'm Cissa! What's your name, cutie?" she asked, squatting down so she could be eye level with him.
Blaise looked down at the ground and shuffled his feet. He kept glancing sideways at Draco, who had lost interest in the tracks and was now interested in him. "Blaise, ma'am..," he said in an incredibly soft voice.
"Blaise," she repeated. "That is a very handsome name for a handsome boy!" she enthused, smiling as the boy gave her a shy smile. "This is my son, Draco. Draco come say ‘hi’ to Blaise."
Draco moved to stand next to his mother as Blaise lifted his head and stared at the beautiful boy.
Draco sucked on the lollipop as he stared back. Finally, "what are you looking at?" he grouched, irritated.
"Draco!" Narcissa hissed.
"You!" Blaise, shot back, unafraid. "You're beautiful."
The blonde boy was quiet for a few seconds. Then, "I know."
Narcissa shook her head in defeat. Sighing, she gave up. "So, where are your parents, Blaise?"
Blaise blushed. "Um... I don't know..," he stuttered.
She nodded. "You mean, you walked off when your mother's back was turned," she corrected gently. She chuckled when Blaise looked at her in surprise. "I have a son of my own... I know how it works." She stood and took Draco's free hand in hers. She then offered her other hand to Blaise. "We'll help you find your mother," she offered.
"Yeah," Draco muttered, still sucking on his lollipop. "...Dork..."
And from that moment on, the two boys had been inseparable...
"Oh, shut up, you hip-hop wannabe!" Draco said, preparing his next smile.
Blaise shook his head. Draco always teased him when he got offers to do hip-hop/r&b. On top of being the band's drummer, he was also one of the most sought out producers in hip-hop/r&b.
"Don't be hatin’..," he shot back, smiling as he autographed a fan's forehead.
"Leave it to you to get the freaks," the blonde muttered.
"You're just jealous, pretty boy."
"Boys!" came the sharp reprimand from the band's manager and keyboard player. "That is enough now," Tom Riddle said softly.
"Yes, sir!" they both said quickly, turning back to their fans.
Tom Riddle just had that effect on the youngest members of the band. If anyone could get Draco and Blaise to behave, it was Tom. No one really knew where he came from, but Riddle was not a man to be trifled with. Often seemingly unfair, his methods for getting things done were a bit unorthodox, but they had all come to expect that. The only one that wasn't properly cowed by him was Severus, but then again, Severus wasn't afraid of anything, or so they all thought. Even Lucius showed his respect for the enigmatic man.
Severus smirked, causing the heart of a fan to skip a beat. "T-thank y-you, sir!" the japanese teen said bowing and leaving quickly before he ended up joining the pile of unconscious fans.
"Look's like you have that effect on today's youth as well," Lucius quipped.
"Shut up," he growled. "I'm old enough to be the boy's father." He snatched the poster from the next hand.
"Some people like that," came the voice in front of him.
Severus looked up into the brightest emerald green eyes he had ever seen. He was stunned and struggled to keep his cool. The boy in front of him was a vision. He grimaced at the word,'vision', but he was indeed a vision. He looked like he was about seventeen. With a slim build and barely standing at 5'5, Severus knew he would tower over him. The boy was lightly tanned and... flawless. Though not in the sense that he was unflawed; he had scars etched into his skin. Some vivid against his smooth skin... others already faded with time. But the most vivid scar was on his forehead - a lightening mark, engraved deeply into his skin. It looked to be a few years old for it was pale pink.
Severus arched an eyebrow at him. "Oh really? And how old are you?" Severus shocked himself with the question. Usually, he ignored the fans.
"Twenty," he answered softly.
Lucius, for once, wasn't looking at the young man, he was staring at Severus. He had never seen Severus spend more time on a fan since the band started. Severus always had his charmingly abrupt disposition. Even Draco was interested in Severus's reaction.
Draco and Blaise shared a look between the two of them that went unnoticed by Severus. "You look kind of young to be 20. That’s the same age as us," he said to the boy, alluding to him and Blaise. "What's your name?"
The boy pulled his gaze away from Severus reluctantly. "Yeah." He ran his fingers through his unruly, dark brown hair, displaying more of the scar on his forehead. "I get that a lot. I'm Harry."
"Harry....?"
"Just Harry."
Draco shared another look with Blaise. Smiling, he turned back to Harry. "Well, Just Harry, how about joining us on our tour? We can use a couple of fresh faces on the bus.”
“Really?” he asked. “You really want me on your tour?”
“Now wait a minute, Draco! You can't just invite people on the bus like that!” Severus put in in angrily.
