Far Away from My Broken Heart
Hermione stood in frot of the students of Hogwarts. She was standing on a stage with a microphone in front of her. The Great Hall was transformed into a theater. It was the night of the Hogwarts talent show. Hermione was second to last to perform. She was going to sing and she knew the perfect song to sing. The music began and she began to sing.
'"Never look back," we said
how was I to know I'd miss you so?
Loneliness up ahead,
emptiness behind
Where do I go?
And you didn't hear
all my joy through my tears
all my hopes through my fears
did you know, still I miss you somehow?'
Her voice was that of an angel. The Great Hall was completley silent. Wide eyes looking at the sight on stage. SHe was wearing a white halter top that sparkled in the spot light. Her black pants fell to the floor, barely showing her strappy white heels. She had light makeup on making her skin glow.

She was thinking of the first time he kissed her. It was soft at first and hen the passion ignighted. His lips tasted of sweet pumpkin juice. His strong hands held her at the waist, while hers were around his neck. He pulled her closser as their mouths opend and they explored one another heated chambers.
He pulled from her and looked into her eyes. They were filled with confusion and lust. His eyes held the same emotions, but a little something more.
He pulled his hands from around her waist and she stepped back a little. He held out a red rose to her, and with a small smile she took it.
He kissed her on the cheek and went toward his dormitory, leaving Hermione there, breathless and wordless.
'"Baby," I said,
"please stay.
Give our love a chance for one more day"
we could have worked things out
taking time is what love's all about'
'But you put a dart
through my dreams
through my heart
and I'm back where I started again
never thought it would end'
"Please don't leave" she begged, with tears in her eyes.
"I have no choice. I can't sneak around any more. Either we go public or its over. Its you decision." he said angrily.
" One more day, please. I can't face it. Not yet. They wouldn't undersatand." she cried. "Please, I love you."
" Then show the world. Who cares if they don't understand. If they really cared, they would support you, not and try to tear us apart." he said.
"I can't. I'm sorry" she said through tears.
"Me too" He said and turned arounf and walked away, never looking back to the gir, who leaned against the wall and fell to the floor, her head in her arms, tears of heartbreak falling from her eyes.

The next day, Hermione was running through the corridors. She made a decision. She would tell everyone. She was not ready to give him up. She loved him too much. He promised he would always be hers. She ran into the hallway only to come to a stop and gasp. There, at the Slytherin table, sat the man she loved, kissing another girl.
Her heart broke into pieces and her eyes were so clouded with tears, she ran off, not noticing he stopped kissing the girl and ran after her. He ran all about the castle, but couldn't find her. He gave up looking, and returned to his dorm.
Hermione was laying on her bed, her tears soaking thorugh her pillows. It had been three weeks since that sad night, and every night, she cried herself to sleep, still missing him.
'"Never look back," we said

The music stopped and the students cheered. Hermione hurried off stage and sat with her friends.
"Wow, Mione. I never knew you could sing so well" said Harry, putting his arm around her and kissing her cheek.
"Thanks" she said wit a small smile.
"And now, for our last performer of the evening."
Draco Malfoy walked out on stage, He was wearing a black tee shirt and jeans with black boots.
Again the hall was silent. He locked eyes with her. The music started and he began to sing.

He kept his eyes locked with her the entire time he sang. This song was for her. ahe needed to let her know he felt.

He saw her eyes begin to tear. She knew the song was meant for her. And It brought back the memories she tried to forget.

He remebered 4th year at the Yule Ball, she was alone and her body gaurds wern't around. He stalked over to her, and bent down on knee. The look on her face was priceless. It looked like she had seen a dementor.
"Lets forget about blood and our differnces for a few minutes. Will you dance with me?" he asked looking into her eyes.
She placed her hand in his outstreched one, and they began to waltz.
She felt so right in is arms. He never wanted to let go. But he did. And he vowed if he ever got to hold her again, he would never let go. Looking at her he noticed she got up and left her seat. He lost her, he thought to himself. It broke his heart and now he knew how she felt when she saw him kissing another girl.

As he was about to sing the next line, he heard a female voice singing it. He looked to his right ans saw her walking out on stage sing the verse to him. He was speechless.

As she sang, she walked to him a cupped his cheek, wiping away the tear that was now falling. He looked into her watery brown eyes, and saw forgivness, happiness and most of all love. He placed his arms and hands around her waist and pulled her closely to him.
When she sang the last word, and the music stopped, he swept to her in an intense kiss. It was like fire works on the Fourth of July, or so Hermione had told him when she visited Amercia one summer.
The Hall was silent, watching the two.
Draco pulled back and looked into Hermiones eyes.
"I'm sorry I let you go." he whispered.
"Just don't do it again" she replied, tears falling down her cheeks.
"I won't, I promise." he said.
