Learning to take Orders

Hey Everyone. I've only just started this one, but I'll try to get chapters up as quickly as possible. (I have a lot of time off at the moment)

Basically, the first chapter explains exactly what the story is about. This chapters tame, but it'll get better. (Believe me)

Please leave reviews, even if it is criticism. I will take everything said on board.

xx Silent.

Orders on High

His cloak swirled around him as he made his way up the hill. Why he was being called here, he had no idea, but at least it was a warm night. He could see two figures already, standing in the dark, silhouetted only by the moonlight shining dully through the clouds dusting the night sky. Reaching the top of the hill, he fell into a deep bow, kissing the hem of the robes that appeared in front of him.

“Severus, stand.” The hiss like voice spoke quietly as Snape pushed himself to his feet slowly. His hood showed little of his face, but his pale skin almost glowed in the moonlight. Three months on the run and the Order were still hot on his heals at every turn.

“Master, I am sorry I am late. The Order, they…”

“I know, Severus, I know.” Voldemort turned and took a few steps away from him. “I have set up a house under Fidelius Charm for you. Seeing as Narcissa Malfoy put you into this situation, she will be your secret keeper.” Severus sneered openly, crossing his arms.

“Go into hiding?” He snarled. “No, my Lord, I belong by your side.”

“You are not as good as I am at staying unseen, Severus. I cannot have you ruin my plans.” Severus felt as if his own breath were choking him. He looked over to the other figure; turned from them, face up to the stars.

“Ruin your plans? My Lord, I killed Dumbledore for you.”

“And by doing so, lost me my best link into the Order.” Voldemort snapped, drawing his wand and pointing it straight at Severus’s heart. “You will go into hiding, Severus, and I will hear nothing more about it.” Severus nodded slowly.

“Anything my Lord wishes.” He grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

“However, you do not go alone.”

“If I have to take Malfoy, I will kill him within a week.” Voldemort chuckled darkly.

“No, not Malfoy. You will take a new recruit. I need her trained, I need her to know how to handle herself.”

“I am to baby sit a recruit?”

“Yes.”

“And what exactly do I do with her?” Severus sneered, glancing past his master’s shoulder and at the figure. Letting his eyes lock back onto the Dark Lord’s, he noticed an unordinary amount of cruelty blazing from them.

“Anything you want. She has been told that she is to obey you as if I were giving the orders. Think of her as your reward for sixteen years of boredom.” Blinking a few times, Severus stared into red eyes, not entirely sure what he had meant by that statement, but it did not seem to matter to Voldemort, for he had already turned his attentions to the figure.

“Ivy.” She turned and strode towards them, thick black robes obviously holding her down slightly.

“Yes my Lord.” She answered obediently, so obediently that if Severus hadn’t known better, he would have assumed she was under the Imperius Curse.

“You are to go with Severus. You know my wishes.” He hissed.

“Yes My Lord. Anything you desire.”

“Severus,” He added, turning back to face Severus. He pulled out a piece of parchment and handed it over. “Narcissa sends her regards.” With a pop, he Disapparated, leaving Severus and the woman named Ivy standing alone on the hilltop, Severus grasping a small roll of parchment.

Pulling out his wand, he unsealed the parchment and lit the end of his wand, using it to read the small and delicate writing.

The Hoxley Mansion is addressed Hoxley Lane, Outside Warwick, Warwickshire.
You should have everything you need there, Severus.
Narcissa.

Thrusting the parchment to Ivy, Severus placed his wand back into his inside pocket.

“What do I do with this?” Ivy asked, her voice having lost the obedient tone it had taken with the Dark Lord, now replaced with hatred and cool sarcasm.

“You read it, you memorise it.” Severus snapped. “If you are going to question every little thing I tell you, then this will be a very tedious exercise.”

“You didn’t tell me anything, so how am I to know.” She responded shortly.

“Maybe you will learn shortly that not all commands are verbal.” Rolling his eyes, he set off down the hill, his boots crunching under the hard midsummer ground. Behind him, he could hear hastened footsteps struggling to keep up with him.

“Where are we going?” Stopping short, Severus turned around, glaring at the girl.

“Do you insist on questioning everything?” With a smirk of triumph, she looked taken back.

“No. But, you could tell me without me having to ask.”

“I will not be doing so, and if you keep asking me about everything I do, I will silence you permanently. Do you understand me, or do you need it spelling out like a first year?”

“I understand.”

“Good, now follow me.” He turned on his heel and returned to striding down the hill.

Reaching the bottom, he stopped abruptly, letting her catch up.

“If we plan on Apparating, why did we walk to the bottom of the hill?” She asked curiously.

“Because I wished to.” Severus snapped, turning and gripping her arm.

“I can Apparate on my on.” She protested, attempting to wrench her arm from his grasp.

“Your first order.” Severus sneered, glaring down at her. “Be quiet, and stay that way. If I have company, you will not speak. You will do as you are ordered and not meddle in my affairs.”

“Fine.”

Severus glared angrily at her.

“And if you continue that tone with me, your life will not be worth living.” Then, without warning, he pulled her with him into Apparation. The area around the foot of the hill silent but for the distant echoing pop.
