Summary: What will Draco do when he finds himself becoming more and more attracted to the new, sexy, independent Hermione, when he knows he shouldn’t be. And how will Hermione deal with her growing feelings for a man she is supposed to hate?
Okay this is my first fic so please be kind, I can take any criticism that you throw at me, don’t worry I can take it!! Anyway, all the fics that I have read so far, I love; but I want Hermione to be strong and independent in this fic and a little more Slytherinish as well.
Chapter 1
The Change
Hermione huffed as she began packing her bags again to return back to Hogwarts to complete her final year there. Her mind kept whirling as she thought of being made Head Girl, this is what she had wanted, this is what she had worked so hard for over the past years and she just hoped like hell she made it. Hermione took a last glace into the mirror to check she looked presentable. Hermione smiled as she saw the reflection, her hair was no longer a mass frizz ball of curls, it now lay smooth and sleek in a tumble of curls around her face. Her face now with a little more color from the sun and her dark mocha eyes looking more seductive with mascara and soft black eyeliner. And it was all thanks to her older cousin Zoë
Hermione had been living with her cousin, Zoë over the past summer holidays whilst her parent’s unexpended had to spend the summer holidays in Russia due to work. The instant Zoë had seen her, she knew she had to do something about that hair and those things Hermione insisted she called eyebrows. Transforming the ugly duckling into a beautiful swan, and that hadn’t been all. They went out partying, drinking and due to Zoë’s influence Hermione had taken on a more independent and sexier look to life, yes she was still the know-it- all Granger, but she had a little more rebellion and seductiveness, especially when it came to the men. Hermione just wanted to see what Harry and Ron would say when they saw her, some how she knew Ron would just stare at her with his mouth wide open, she laughed as that image came into her mind.

Hermione spotted Harry and Ron and headed up to them, she gently tapped Harry on the shoulder and waited till her turned around
“Oh my god” Harry said, just looking at her, wide eyed and mouth opened
“Bloody hell” Ron said looking at her in the same manner
“Good or bad bloody hell?” Hermione asked
“Good, real good” Ron said as his eyes traveled over the full length of Hermione
“I’m glad” Hermione said with a little giggle “Now if we don’t get onto the train now, we’ll be late” She said and proceeded onto the train, with Harry and Ron close by
Once in the carriage, silence took over….
“So….” Hermione said, looking at the boys expectantly
“You look different…” Harry began “Good, different” He said correcting himself hastily and then looked at her and then blushed, reverting his eyes back to the floor
Hermione smiled and then looked at the boys
“Okay I get it, so I have changed how I look a little that’s it. I’m still the same Hermione Granger” She insisted. Both boys looked up at her and smiled, agreeing with her.
Ginny slid the door open and walked into the carriage that Ron, Harry and Hermione were in
“Hey” She said sitting next to Harry
“Hey” They said back, Ginny passed her eyes over Hermione and smiled
“I like your hair, it looks really nice” Ginny said, Hermione’s cheeks flushed and she thanked Ginny for the complement
They soon arrived at Hogwarts and all climbed off the train and headed into the Great Hall where they all sat down and waited till Dumbledore began his speech.
“Welcome everyone to a brand new year here at Hogwarts. I welcome all the new students that have arrived” Dumbledore carried on with the speech, welcoming new students and sorting them into their different housed by using the hat. Just before the feast was about to appear onto the wooden tables, Dumbledore had one last announcement
“I would like to present the Head Boy position to…Draco Malfoy, of Slytherin”
Malfoys’ face had the legendary smirk stamped onto his lips as he heard the news of him being appointed Head Boy.
“With great pleasure, I would like to announce that, Hermione Granger will be taking the position of Head Girl"
Hermione smiled, and felt the breath she had been holding let go, everyone applauded and smiled as they heard the news. But then it hit her, it hit her that she was going to have to share a room with Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. The boy she detested, the boy she hated, the boy she loathed more than anything else on this planet.
“Oh shit” Hermione said, Harry and Ron’s faces fell as they too realized what she was cursing about
“That can’t be right can it? Malfoy, Head Boy?” Ron said confused
“He pulls the grades” Hermione said curtly and then looked at Harry and Ron
“I’ll be fine, I can handle him” Hermione said and hugged both Harry and Ron as they congratulated her. She just hoped like hell she was right..

Draco’s mind reeled
Her….her…It couldn’t be
Crabbe began to laugh as he heard Dumbledore announce the name for Head Girl
“Her, you have to share with her…” he tried to say in between his laughs
“Shut up” Draco said, elbowing his friend in the stomach
It was going to be hell…worse than hell Draco thought
