When Worlds Collide

Summery: Hermione is being targeted by an evil that hasn’t set foot on earth in over a thousand years. Now, she must be protected. What happens when she and her protector fall in love? R/R

Prologue

“You’re learning fast Hermione. I’m proud of you.” Nicholas Granger said.

“Thanks daddy, I have a great teacher.” Hermione smiled as she hugged her father.

Nicholas and Hermione were in the backyard of their three-story Victorian style home in Suffolk, England. Her father was teaching her the ways of a light saber. Hermione wasn’t just a witch, she was in fact a descendant of Jedi.

The Jedi were peace keepers that left Earth for a planet called Coruacant over a thousand years ago. Hermione’s family was one of many who left the Jedi Order to remain on Earth and start families.

“Time for dinner my two Jedi Knights.” Samantha Granger said as she opened the back door.

Hermione entered the house and headed upstairs for the bathroom to wash her hands. Suddenly, she heard her mother scream.

“Noooo! Nicholas! Aaahhh!” Samantha screamed.

Hermione grabbed her wand and ran back downstairs. There laid her parents. Dead by the Killing Curse. On either side of her parents stood the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters.

“Noooo!” Hermione screamed.

*End Dream*

“NOOOO!” Hermione screamed as she sat up in bed.

“Hermione? You all right dear?” Molly Weasley asked a few moments later.

“I’m…I’m fine Mrs. Weasley. Just a little dream.” Hermione answered as she tried to stop her racing breath.

“Well, the meeting is about to start. Come on.” Molly said.

Hermione put on her shoes, ran a brush through her hair, and followed Molly downstairs. It was the summer before Harry, Hermione, and Ron’s seventh and final year at Hogwarts.

The three had joined the Order the previous Christmas. Hermione spotted her Friends and Harry’s boyfriend, Draco Malfoy, talking with Draco’s god father, Severus Snape. Draco had openly defied his father and had joined the Light. The previous school term, he was resorted into Gryffindor and in October, had begun to date Harry.

“Hey Hermione. You all right? You look a little pale.” Draco greeted.

“Hi Draco. I’m fine. Just that dream again.” She answered.

“Perhaps you should try a Dreamless Draught Miss Granger.” Severus suggested.

“They don’t work on her sir. We tried it when she stayed at the Burrow over Easter.” Ron added.

“It’s no big deal. It will pass.” Hermione said.

Just then, Albus entered the kitchen. Everyone took their seats and the meeting began. Hermione’s dream was pushed to the back of her mind as she focused on the issue at hand.

Meanwhile, on Coruacant, the Jedi council was having a meeting as well. The council was in fact discussing the war with Voldemort and Hermione Granger.

“The Sith, on Earth I have sensed.” Master Yoda said.

“Palpatine has been reported there. Our sources also say, he’s joined with the Wizard called Voldemort.” Mace Windu added.

“To Earth, someone must go. The last of the Granger line, protect he must.” Yoda said.

“I think Anakin should go. He has the most experience fighting against Palpatine.” Obi-Wan Kenobi suggested.

The other Jedi Masters nodded. Anakin Skywalker bowed his head in thanks. The meeting continued. Ten minutes later Anakin and Obi-Wan exited the council chambers.

“When should I leave?” Anakin asked.

“In four days. The young woman is named Hermione Granger. Last year, her parents were caught in the crossfire between the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters. She is the last in her line.” Obi-Wan explained.

“I wasn’t aware the Granger line still existed.” Anakin replied.

“Yes. If Palpatine discovers her, he will no doubt try to kill her. Master Yoda says Hermione is the strongest in her family. She’s not a full Jedi, but has mastered most of the Jedi skills.” Obi-Wan said.

“Then I will protect her.” Anakin vowed.

The two Jedi Masters exited the Jedi Temple and headed off to make the proper arrangements with the Senate and to get a ship for Anakin to use.
