Prologue:
Tonks entered 12 Grimmauld Place as quietly as she could. She tiptoed pass Mrs. Black’s portrait, maneuvered around the umbrella stand and walked silently down the hall.
‘I wonder where everyone is,’ she thought. She checked the parlor, library and the kitchen finding no one. She headed down to the training room in the basement.

Meanwhile
Harry and Snape were practicing spells in the basement training room.
“It is imperative that you pronounce this spell correctly,” said Snape. “If not done correctly it could have disastrous results.”
“Ok I understand,” said Harry.
“You can practice the spell on these rats.”
‘That should not be hard. I can pretend it’s Wormtail,’ thought Harry.
“The spell will bind the soul to the physical body so that the soul will die with the body. This should get rid of The Dark Lord for good this time,” said Snape.
Since the spell had to be done in parseltongue Harry glanced at a snake ring he was wearing. He looked back to the caged rat, pointed his wand and said {I bind your soul to thee}. A beam of light hit the rat causing it to squeak. Snape scanned the rat to see if the spell work.
“It appears that you did the spell correctly,” said Snape reluctantly. “Try it again.” He placed another caged rat on the floor and stepped back.
Harry took aim.
{I bind your soul…}
Tonks charged into the room knocking into Harry.
{To…t...me.} Harry and Tonks fell to the floor causing the spell to miss the rat and hit the mirrored wall, ricocheting of the mirror to hit Harry and Tonks. They were enveloped in a bright light and both collapsed.
Snape watched this in horror. He was helpless to stop it, it all happened to fast.
He rushed over to the other two checking to see if they were still alive. Seeing that they were alive but unconscious he levitated them out of the room and up the stairs. He grabbed a handful of floo powder and with a sigh of “bloody Gryffindors” threw the powder into the fire.
“Hogwarts infirmary.”
He stalked into the fire with the levitated forms of Harry and Tonks trailing behind him.
