Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Out of Place
A/N: This is an original character, yes, but it is not ME, nor is it a Mary-Sue. It is a character I made up in my mind that has depth, personality, weakness, fears, goal, etc. If I could have used a JKR made character that had her particular personality, I would have. So if you are turned off by OC fics as I am because of the Mary-Sues, trust me, this story will not bother you at all.
One last note: I am fully aware of the events in HBP, I have just chosen to ignore them, as I am still in total denial. Enjoy the show.
Disclaimer: Erinn is MINE. Though if JKR is willing to trade her for Draco for a few nights, I would be more than happy..*ahem*. I don't own any of JKR's characters. *pout* (Oh, all other OC's are mine, too.)
**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~**
There was a black figure in the distance. Slowly, it came closer and closer, bringing it more into focus. Far off into the distance, she saw a peculiar sight. A dog was pedaling furiously on a bicycle, he had to get to the beach before it was too late...
Instantly, all was snapped back to reality as Erinn Ashwood awoke. She did not open her eyes, as this would only alert her dorm mates to force her awake. Instead, she focused on the blackness that engulfed her vision. She flinched as black became red, and she could no longer relax. She yelped groggily at the sudden change.
"Who opened the sodding curtains?!?" She yelled, sleepiness apparent in her voice.
"I did," came a small, high pitched voice, "because you need to get the hell up."
Erinn slowly turned towards the offending voice, her eyes still closed.
"Jamie, if you don't get the hell out of my dorm..."
"You'll do what?"
She was met with silence.
"That's what I thought. All of your dorm mates have gone up for breakfast. They sent me here because try as they might, they were unable to wake your lazy arse. Now get UP!!"
"Alright, fine, I'm getting up, now would you bugger off so I can get changed?"
"Open your eyes."
Erinn complied.
"Fine, but I'll be waiting outside your door."
And with that, she left. Cursing Jaime and her morning cheer, Erinn reluctantly left the comfort of her warm bed, exchanging it for the cold dungeon floor. Erinn changed into her baggy uniform and put her hair into her usual ponytail. Slowly and resentfully, she went outside.
Jamie scoffed at Erinn's haggard appearance. "Must you always wear your robes like that? I wish you'd let me make you over!"
"You must be the most annoying little sister on the planet! Look, I don't want a makeover, okay? I like how I am, and nor you or Mum can change that."
"But you'd be so--"
"I don't care how I'd be!" She snapped.
Erinn sighed and apologised. She was just so tired of this argument over and over again. Being a tomboy in her family was unheard of, and yet, there she was. She looked at her sister. Jamie was small and cute, with light brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes. She was only in her fourth year, and yet she'd been asked out by boys of all ages. It wasn't that Erinn wasn't as pretty. On the contrary, she was almost exactly like an older version of Jaime, save that Erinn had light red hair. No, it was more that Erinn simply didn't care. That and her...tempestous nature...
Together, the girls walked in silence from the Slytherin Dorm to the Grand Hall for breakfast. Erinn said hello to Hermione Granger, despite the scoffs of protest from Jaime. They then separated; Jamie at her usual spot in the middle of the Slyhterin table and Erinn at the end.
After breakfast, Erinn made her way to Potions with the strange feeling that she was being followed. She walked quickly, head straight in front of her. She was not going to let them spook her. They were just going to have to try to push her further or give up. Soon enough, she heard a voice next to her ear say: "Halloween is over. Take off the ugly mask." She spun on her heel to face the bane of her existence.
"Don't you have some bimbo to drug into thinking you're important, Malfoy?"
"I don't drug them, Ashwood, they come to me."
"So you admit they're bimbos, then?"
With that, she turned and left him for Potions, though she knew she'd have to see him in class. Malfoy had hated her since their second year, when he hit on her and she turned him down, saying she was happy enough without shagging pompous gits. From that day on, she stopped wearing make up, and he started taunting her.
'Luckily', she thought, 'I'll only have to deal with him another couple of months, then we'll graduate and I'll never see him again. Only then, I'll have a husband to deal with...'
**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**
Draco snarled. The nerve of that little tart! Calling the girls who he was with bimbos! Calling him unimportant! He walked to Potions fuming at her comebacks. Just because she was from an important family, she thought she could get away with that, could she? Well, a strongly worded not to his father should do the trick. Meanwhile, he had to get through Potions so he could get his dorm ready. Jeanette was visiting this evening, and she wouldn't be leaving until she was thoroughly shagged and wanting more. Not to mention, he was thoroughly sated, and wanting no more. Then was Alice the next night, Evelyn the next, and Karen the next... He wandered into Potions, thinking of the next few days he would spend with his women, and then it would all be over: He would have a wife to deal with...
