Five days before the end of Sixth year, Harry Potter was called into Headmistress McGonagal\'s office. Apparently Headmaster Dumbledore\'s portrait wished to have a word with him. Unlike most sentient portraits, the Headmaster portraits were never actually painted. The last \"breath\" of their magic, released the very moment they passed, brought them into existence. No matter where they were, the portrait appeared in the Headmaster\'s office at Hogwarts and they knew every last thought that their living selves had. Therefore, Albus\' sentient knew that Harry Potter needed to know what had happened.

Once seated, politely accepting Minerva\'s offer of hot cocoa and honey nut coffee cake, Harry began the long, tedious process of listening to Albus Dumbledore\'s rambling explanation of how he’d manipulated Harry’s life this time. With one Quick-Quotes Quill running (and an Honesty Charm on both quill and parchment) to record the actual words, while Harry recorded his thoughts and feelings of it all, Harry learned five simple things.

Harry learned that Snape was only following orders from Albus himself when he AKed the Headmaster. He learned that the Unbreakable Vow the Head of Slytherin had been under wouldn\'t have let him do any less and Albus was already on a much worse path to death-so he considered the AK to be a mercy on Snape\'s part.

That, however, was nothing to what the teen heard next.

Harry learned that Snape was Vampyre (pronounced Vam-peer), and Harry was his mate. Next hear was that Moony also claimed Harry as his mate. And finally Draco Malfoy was Veela and claimed Harry as his mate.

By the time he left the office, both parchments in hand, to find Hermione for her perspective, Harry had pretty much decided to shut his brain down for the day and just float through. Ducking out from behind the gargoyle, Harry watched Aurors approach. They were intending to interview the portrait (knowing that a Headmaster\'s sentient was utterly incapable of lying) because apparently there was some question in the Ministry whether or not the known spy was actually the one who had killed the old man. They claimed everything from a golum to polyjuice.
