Expect The Unexpected

Hermione sighed as she sat down comfortably in her favorite chair in the library. Professor McGonagall had told her that she was to tutor students as part of her Head Girl ship. Harry and Ron had not come back to school yet, but had forced Hermione to. They were expected back in a few weeks. Dumbledore had them running about on a mission, one that Hermione was upset to be left out of.

She also dreaded them coming back. What would they think when they found out that she had gotten a boyfriend? A Slytherin boyfriend, who went by the name of Blaise Zabini. They would skin her alive, but he was better then Malfoy wasn\'t he? They hadn\'t told anyone about their relationship though, it was best if other Slytherins and Gryffindors didn\'t find out.

\"Hey,\" Blaise said smiling and swooping down to giver her a swift kiss on the cheek.

\"Hey,\" Hermione said smiling back.

\"Why are you here?\"

\"I have to tutor someone, but McGonagall hasn\'t told me who yet,\" Hermione said rolling her eyes. Blaise went a little pale. \"Is something wrong?\"

\"Um... well last night a certain Slytherin was complaining about having to be tutored,\" Blaise shifted uncomforatably.

\"Who?\" Hermione asked gazing at Blaise, hoping he wasn\'t talking about who she thought he was talking about.

\"Granger,\" a voice sneered from behind her, \"please tell me you aren\'t the tutor.\" Draco Malfoy came into veiw behind her and Hermione groaned.

\"Oh God, what have I done to deserve this?\" She muttered darkly to herself.

\"Blaise, what are you doing here?\" Draco asked suddenly and Blaise froze in place.

\"I was just talking to Hermione,\" Blaise said cooly, but Hermione could hear something in his voice. Why was he so nervous?

\"Wasn\'t there something you had to tell me?\" Draco asked, his eyes glinting dangerously.

\"Yes,\" Blaise said swweping his gaze up to meet Draco\'s.

\"Well I\'m all ears,\" Draco said shoving his stuff down onto the table besides Hermione. Hermione stayed silent, the two boys seemed to have temporarily forgotten about her.

\"I have a girlfriend,\" Blaise said smoothly and Hermione froze.

\"What?\" Draco said angily. \"Who?\"

\"Later,\" Blaise said a warning note in his tone.

\"Blaise,\" Draco said angrily.

\"Later,\" Blaise cut across him. \"I\'ll talk to you later Hermione.\" With that he stood up and walked away. Hermione turned her attention to tutoring Draco, but she planned on listening to exactly what Blaise was going to tell Draco.

\"Hurry up Granger and explain it already,\" Draco grunted moodily. Hermione rolled her eyes and shoved to book towards him.

\"Just read that page later,\" she snapped. \"I have to be some where now,\" she lied and swept up her stuff.

She hid behind a bookcase and watched behind a thick volume as Blaise walked over to an angry Draco. Her interest was peeked when she saw Draco shoot Blaise a peculiar look.

\"Who is this girlfriend?\" Draco asked angrily.

\"Not here,\" Blaise replied looking around. \"Someone might overhear. Follow me.\"

Hermione followed the two Slytherins at a distance, pausung every once and a while to make sure that they hadn\'t realized someone was following them.

\"Who is she?\" Draco demanded.

\"Draco, let me explain,\" Blaise said wearily.

\"Does she mean anything to you,\" Draco\'s voice was low and dangerous.

\"Yes,\" Blaise said deffiently.

\"So you\'re leaving me for her,\" Draco said angrily and Hermione froze as the meaning of those words sunk in on her. Draco and Blaise were seeing each other. That meant he was cheating on her with Draco Malfoy!

\"No, I haven\'t told her about you yet,\" Blaise said.

\"What? You want her to join us?\" Draco asked bemused.

\"Yes,\" Blaise said calmly.

\"Who is it?\"

\"Hermione,\" Blaise said and for a few minutes the hall went quiet.

\"Number one, she would never agree to something like that and number two, neither would I. I bet she is still a virgin,\" he snorted. Hermione felt herself grow angrily.

\"She isn\'t,\" Blaise smirked and Draco looked angry.

\"Why didn\'t you tell me about her sooner?\" He asked accusingly.

\"I didn\'t think it would matter, but obviously I was wrong. You know you\'ve always had a thing for her,\" at Blaise\'s words Hermione frowned. Draco have a thing for her? As if.

\"I have not,\" Draco scowled.

Hermione decided to leave at this part before she was caught listening. She needed time to think about what she had overheard and what exactly she was going to do about it. She liked Blaise a lot, she was even beginning to fall in love with him, but that he had kept something like this from her... It hurt her.

\"Hermione?\" Blaise asked rounding the corner. Hermione looked up in suprise and flushed red. She had been caught.
