England was ahead by one goal, not that the score really mattered. The world had changed so very much since the last time he’d attended the World Cup.
“God, you wouldn’t believe how long the lines for the loo were. You’d think they’d have some kind of charm to add stalls when needed.” Hermione lowered their daughter into the seat between them. “I take it Harry hasn’t caught the snitch yet?”
“No, not yet.”
“Dada, look, gold!” Melinda held up the fake coin.
“I see. Very pretty.” Severus smiled at his daughter.
The world had definitely changed for the better.

This was the Severus she’d fallen in love with. This is what she needed, this feeling of being connected. “It’s a shame I can’t keep you dosed with veritaserum indefinitely.”
Severus pulled Hermione into his arms and gently hugged her. He missed holding her; he missed…her. He’d do whatever was needed to stop her from leaving.
