“…The Dark Lord will be vanquished. It is just a matter of time. All I ask of you is a little faith. Remember: we are the Light side; we are bond to win! And if we don’t… well, then it won’t be Voldemort who ruins us. It will be ourselves, our lack of faith and our dead hopes. We cannot allow it to happen, can we?”

Harry Potter’s voice sounded as passionate and confident as ever, but very few people believed him today. Even the members of the Order were rapidly losing faith in their young leader. Seven years passed since Albus Dumbledore had died and Harry had taken over the Order of the Phoenix, and none of those years had brought the Light side any closer to victory. Harry tried his best but people were getting tired of trusting a hero who could do nothing about the constant danger they were in. In the end, only several close friends were still supporting him wholeheartedly, yet Harry was well aware that close was the day they would abandon him, too. This mere thought was enough to give him nightmares that overpowered the visions Voldemort used to send him. He strived to win the war; he jumped out of his skin to find a way to destroy the Dark Lord but, so far, all his efforts had been in vain. He stood tall and proud in front of the people who no longer believed him, saying inspiring words; but the truth was, he was pleading for help.

“The end is coming, and it’s going to be the end of Voldemort’s reign, not of our existence. We’ve gone so far and we’ve lost so much already that we can’t just stop now! I promise it won’t take long. We are going to win this war, just trust me. Please, just trust me”.

After Harry finished his speech, Remus followed the young man to his room. Harry was aware of the werewolf’s quiet footsteps behind him, but he did not look back. When they reached his room’s door, Harry opened it and invited Remus in with a gesture. Once they were alone, away from the other Order members’ accusing eyes, he finally spared the other man a glance.

“So, what did you want?”

Remus seemed to hesitate for a moment. Then, gathering his courage, he said, “Your speech was an excellent one. Too bad it was just a pack of lies”.

Harry did not so much as flinch at that. He expected the blow, although never thought it would come so soon.

“You don’t trust me, either,” he stated simply, and Remus was not going to argue.

“No, I don’t. Haven’t for two months”.

“Since Tonks died”. Harry smiled sadly, remembering his friend who had been murdered so cruelly during one of the latest battles. “She was a remarkable woman, huh? A true hero, something I could never be”. He sighed heavily before continuing, “I’m sorry, Remus. I’m sorry for being a loser. I’m sorry for all the pain I caused you and the rest of the Order. But I cannot change it. I can only keep fighting, and this is what I am going to do even if no-one believes in me in the end. I’m sorry I failed you so much; but I’m glad you finally admitted your feelings”.

Turning away, Harry knelt in front of the fireplace and lit the fire with a quiet Incendio. For a moment he simply stared at the flames; then he spoke again, “When people openly tell me they’ve lost their trust in me it hurts. But when they don’t believe me anymore, yet pretend to still have some faith, it hurts even more”. The young man bit his bottom lip, unable to maintain a calm facial expression anymore. “Thank you, Professor”.

For a couple of seconds the werewolf was silent. Then he said quite harshly, “Rubbish. I don’t believe a single word you say because I know you don’t really mean all of this. You lost the ability to be sincere a very long time ago. You’re a liar, you’re false inside and out and all you’re good at is paying lip service”.

An insane laughter escaped Harry’s lips. “Yes. Yes, I am, aren’t I?”

Still kneeling, he turned round abruptly, his hands easily unbuckling Remus’ trouser belt and jerking the fly down. The older man did nothing to stop him, remaining completely still even as Harry slowly freed his cock and stroked the thick shaft almost lovingly. When a tentative tongue touched the purple head, Remus let out a long breath but still did not back away. Harry continued his exploration, licking and sucking and kissing, until he finally opened his mouth and took the entire length of Remus’ cock in. It made the werewolf groan loudly and he grabbed a handful of Harry’s hair, roughly thrusting his hips forward. Harry made a small chocking noise but it was about the only sign of the discomfort he must have been experiencing; he allowed Remus to establish a certain rhythm, then started moving his head to meet the other man’s thrusts, careful not to let his teeth scratch the cock in his mouth. Soon Remus was gasping and moaning, obviously enjoying the pleasing sensation of Harry’s warm lips around his cock too much to control himself. Several minutes passed like that; then Remus threw his head back and growled wildly, welcoming his release. Immediately, Harry found his mouth full of hot, salty liquid and did his best to swallow all of it down. Then he pulled away, swiftly ordered Remus’ clothing and stood up, eyeing the other man levelly.

“Yes, Remus,” he whispered hoarsely, “lip service may be all I’m good at, but at least I’m very good at it. And that’s why you’ve been coming to me for two months, isn’t it? Lip service. Tongue service. Throat service. I may be a total failure but you still like to fuck my mouth.”

Rage shone in Remus’ golden eyes.

“Yes, I do. Because that is all I am ever going to get,” he spat out.

Seconds later he slammed the door behind himself, leaving Harry to fall apart on his own.

They both knew he would come back the following day, anyway.
