Chapter 1: Midnight Stroll
Harry walked through the halls in the middle of the night, wandering endlessly, not knowing what to do. Harry is in his 5th year and so far it has been hell for him. His two best friends had turned on him in the middle of the summer and he couldn’t figure out why for the life of him. They had just stop writing letters and he had thought that they were busy, but when he got on the train they wouldn’t even look at him let alone talk to him, he had spent the whole train ride trying to figure out what he had done.
When he got to Hogwarts the whole of Gryffindor wouldn’t talk to him except for Neville who had no idea why everyone had turned on Harry. Harry had been so plagued by thoughts that he took up to wandering the halls at night, like tonight.
Harry was pulled form his thoughts when he heard a door opening ahead of him. He crept slowly forward and looked around the corner to see none other than Professor Snape and Lucius Malfoy standing there kissing in front of Professor Snape’s room. Before Harry could so much as blink he was grabbed from behind and pulled into an old unused classroom. When he was released he turned around to come face to face with none other then Draco Malfoy.
Harry stared for a few seconds before he blurted out, “What the fuck Malfoy?”
Malfoy just stared before giving Harry a small almost nonexistent smile. “Don’t you know that it’s not nice to spy on people?”
“I wasn’t spying I was just seeing who was there.” Harry replied half-heartily.
Malfoy glared at Harry before saying, “Listen Potter I don’t need or want people to find out that my father is with Severus, so if you keep your mouth shut I won’t have to hurt you.”
Harry just looked at Malfoy like he had just grown another head, “Why would I tell people?” Harry asked, truly confused.
“I don’t know Potter maybe because it would be the best gossip the school has ever heard.” Draco sneered.
Harry dropped his head to look at the ground, his foot shuffling the dust that covered the ground around, he looked every ounce like a kid who just got caught doing something wrong.
“I wouldn’t do that, it’s none of my business, besides they obviously want to keep it secret if they are sneaking around at night so no one will see them.” Harry replied still not looking up.
Malfoy looked at him like he had never seen him before, “Your really not going to tell anyone?”
“No”
“Why not? You hate Severus, you would love to get one over on him.”
“I don’t hate him he hates me, and before you ask I don’t hate your father either he’s just really annoying.”
Draco walked up to Harry gently put his finger under his chin and lifted his head up, before Harry could do anything Draco leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Harry’s lips.
Harry was in shock, Malfoy, Draco Malfoy just kissed him. Draco backed up and looked Harry in the eyes and said, “Don’t tell anyone about that either Potter,” and walked out the door.
Harry stood there frozen for a couple of minutes before a smile stretched over his face. The first smile he has smiled all year, and that smile stayed on his face all the way back to his dorm, as he laid down for bed, and as he fell into a peaceful sleep. Maybe this year won’t be so bad after all.
