Chapter One
Draco silently cursed his devious body as his ice blue eyes found their target. Her crimson Gryffindor robe fluttered softly in the wind. She walked a few paces behind Potter, but Draco had no sight for the opposing captain. Her beautiful brown eyes held a fierce determination as her auburn hair flew behind her. Draco finally snapped his eyes to the quidditch captain of his arch rival team.
“Keep your eyes off of her,” Potter growled.
Draco sneered as he took his hand to shake it. Apparently Harry had noticed his scrutiny. Unfortunately, Draco couldn’t think of a way to deny it without out-right lying. He’d never bring himself that low. The captains finally released each other from their death grips. Signaling to their teams, everyone mounted their brooms. When Madame Hooch sounded her whistle, the teams launched swiftly into the air. The Gryffindor vs Slytherin match had begun.
Draco was continually finding it hard to concentrate. As he watched for the golden snitch his cold eyes kept slipping back to the slim form of Ginny Weasley. The usually stoic man found soft wishes trailing through his mind. Draco was daydreaming so heavily that he almost missed Harry shooting underneath him in hot pursuit of a small gold ball.
“Damn it,” he muttered as he shot after The Boy Who Lived. Draco issued another much louder curse when Harry caught the elusive snitch, ending the game. Amid cheers from the other three houses, Draco stalked off towards the castle. When he rounded the end of the stands, he glanced back. Cursing for the third time in five minutes, he couldn’t draw his eyes from the stunning figure of the youngest Weasley.
He watched as she was held on the mobs shoulders between her brother and Harry Potter. Suddenly, her chocolate eyes locked on his blue orbs and he watched in rapt attention as a very becoming blush crept across her face. When she glanced down in utter embarrassment, Draco promptly sped off towards the castle.

Virginia Weasley steeled herself for the first match of the season. Her overwhelming happiness at Harry, Ron, and Hermoine’s safe return still didn’t help in keeping her eyes open through her weariness. Everyone had celebrated their return because it signaled the end of the Dark Lord Voldemort. Ginny had surprised herself by admitting to herself and Harry that she only thought of him as a brother, that their relationship was ended before it could fully start. The others, in turn, had surprised everyone by telling the story of their defeat of Voldemort and that they couldn’t have done it without the help of one Draco Malfoy. That hadn’t stopped her and the others from celebrating together, though. To hide her absolute weariness, she plastered a determined look across her beautiful face.
Ginny was in a daze up until the whistle was blown to signify the beginning of the match. She hadn’t even noticed Harry’s warning to a certain blue-eyed Slytherin. As she rose quickly in to the air, all her thoughts disappeared. Nothing existed but the match. Immediately, she ducked after the soccer ball sized quaffle. She was so into what she was doing that she never even saw the pair of ice colored eyes watching her. She almost didn’t even realize the snitch had been caught, the game ending.
When Ginny landed, her thoughts cascaded back to her. She looked at her brother, Harry, and even a screaming Hermoine with a touch of sadness. She was glad to have them back, but she was upset at the idea of leaving Hogwarts at the end of this year. This castle, with all its tricks and happenings, had become just like home to her.
Feeling the small hairs on the back of her neck rise, Ginny began searching the crowd. Her eyes finally locked on to a pair of haunting blue eyes. Draco’s stoic face portrayed nothing and Ginny couldn’t stop the curious blush that rapidly covered her cheeks. Glancing down quickly in her embarrassment, Ginny tried to control her racing heart. When she peeked back up to where he had been standing, Draco was gone. Ginny pushed away the puzzling emptiness that consumed her at the loss of those eyes and rejoined the festivities.

‘What the hell is wrong with me’ Draco furiously scolded himself. He kept his face carefully blank so no one knew of the inner battle that raged. Draco crept through the Slytherin common room and headed for his private room. After turning on the Dark Lord, Headmistress McGonagall had a new staircase and room placed in the Slytherin dungeon to house the turncoat. Since many Slytherins have ties to the dark side, Draco was an unwanted entity. McGonagall knew this and bewitched the staircase and room much the same way the females’ staircases were, except the stairs would only allow Draco upon them and the door would only open for him.
His only show of his temper was to slam the door to his room. ‘How is this girl doing this to me’ he demanded the answer from within himself. No woman, especially one so unskilled and naive, had even intrigued him so much. How was he going to deal with this?
He couldn’t get her shy grin out of his mind’s eye or the way she had still been breath taking even with her hair disheveled. He certainly liked how her hair now looked. The traditional fireball red, known to the Weasley clan, hadn’t shown as heavily with her. Her hair was browner than any of the others, making it more auburn, like the color of a changing fall leaf. Not to mention her body. The wind had pulled her robe tight across her, giving Draco a perfect view of her nicely curved body. Ginny was definitely not the little girl she had once been.
“Urgh,” Draco groaned. He should never have let his thoughts wander so vividly. Resigning himself to a cold shower, Draco stripped quickly as he thought of a way to achieve the object of his desires. He had changed in a lot of ways since his sixth year, but one thing would never change. Draco Malfoy always got what he wanted, and he wanted Virginia Weasley.
A/N: Hey everyone!! How are you doing today? I know this was rather short but they will get longer. Oh, if any of my Surprising Love fans are reading this, please don't kill me! I will be updating that very shortly. I had a sort of writer's block. Well, please review, but let's keep the flames rather to the minimum. I'm bitchy enough with the pregnancy so lets not make it worse. K?
