Prolouge
It was the big news this year"¦ sort of. Actually the big news was that Voldemort had been defeated by Harry Potter. The boy was despised by many wizards"¦ but loved by the rest of the Wizarding World. Harry Potter could easily have a novel wrote on his life, a series really. It was rather humorous to imagine the titles. "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire" ha, like that'd ever happen.
Here's the once over on Harry Potter. The boy can get himself into any sticky situation and wriggle his damn self right out. It pisses off a few people, Draco Malfoy especially.
So we'll start at the beginning when dear sweet Potter pissed off the Dark Lord, he-who-must-not-be-named, Tom Riddle, Voldemort, whatever the hell you want to call him. Dear sweet little Harry, was almost killed by an unforgivable curse. He lost his parents but it wasn't enough for Potter to roll over and fucking die. Oh no, Potter had to be this freak of nature and survive, making Voldemort lose power. Not only that, Potter defeated the guy 4 times after that, and finally finished him off on round 5 last year. Harry Potter is 17 now, the same age as Draco Malfoy. That's the ONLY thing they had in common.
Draco Malfoy was the arrogant asshole who walked around the school like he owned the place, having morons follow him around. He was the "˜bad guy'. Still, the boy held himself with grace. Pale blonde hair falling into his grey sharp heartbreaking eyes, he was the most alluring student who had ever set foot in Hogwarts. His intelligence was above most and most importantly, he was the kind of guy that Severus Snape wanted his daughter to marry. It also helped that Snape was best friends with Lucius Malfoy when they were younger. Because of their friendship a betrothal between their children was agreed upon.
Now back to the big news, not Voldemort, but the really big news. It's terminal really, Dumbledore thinks it will impact our students greatly. He is right; the old man never misses anything. He says this will change everything that the students have ever learned. I knew it would too. I knew it the very first day she sat down on that stool, her mouth shut. Her breathtaking electric blue eyes scanning the room after her name had been called.
She was the most beautiful girl in the Great Hall by all means. Her electric blue eyes she had acquired from her mother. Her straight black hair that fell down to her mid-back, shining in the dim lights as students stared at her and at me. Her pale skin, so smooth, so flawless, reflected my own skin. I waited, holding my breath. The next thing I heard sent anger through me, though it did not surprise me. I knew she was just like her mother. As she stood gracefully and made her way to the table she belonged, every male in the room watched her. Then she set down next to Hermione Granger.
Arabella Snape had been sorted into Gryffindor.
