Summery Marietta Edgecombe is not doing so good after a death eater attack what will this year bring in her 7th year of hogwarts
prologue
Marietta was walking down the hall in her home. She was going to get a drink in the kitchen, when she thought she heard a noise downstairs. Her mom was most likely just getting from work. She then heard a deep voice that she did not know. She peeked around the corner, and saw five Death Eaters standing in her living room. At the feet of the Death Eaters lay her father’s body surrounded by a pool of blood. She dashed up the stairs.
Her mother, working for the ministry, had told her of other ways out of the house other than the floo. She ran to her room and got her wand. She tried for a hidden port key, but turned and saw a Death Eater at her door. Before she could react, she heard STUPIFY and fell to the ground. He was on her in a heartbeat, and he moved his hand up her nightgown; pushing it up to her thighs as he shifted his robes around. He started to lower himself, and then, mercifully, everything went black.
“Marietta” she heard her name.
“Marietta!!! Wake up!” Her eyes snapped open, and then she looked around. She was sweating and breathing heavily as she looked up and saw the worried face of her friend Cho Chang. It was a dream. The same dream she had every night since that night three weeks ago.
The night she was almost raped, she strangely owed thanks to a death eater who walked in the door and stopped her would be rapist. Reprimanding him over getting pleasure before completing his mission. Amycus she called him. They were to wait for her mom and kill her, but thankfully the plan went wrong. As her father is a muggle and her mother was not home, the ministry detected the stunning spell and had sent aurors to her home.
The Death Eaters fought, and fled after two of their ranks fell, and she was discovered in her room. Her mother sent her to live with Cho after the funeral, for her safety, but she kept reliving that night. She looked at Cho, and said “I’m fine. It was just a bad dream.” But Cho still looked worried, wishing there was something she could do to help, and went over to her friend and simply gave her a hug. Cho looked her in the eyes with a look that made Marietta feel she was really lucky that Cho was still her friend after the last year.
What had happened with the D.A., the spots she had gotten on her face were finally disappearing. What ever that hex was, it was strong. She had to give Hermione Granger credit, but she still had to use a glamour charm to look normal. She would ask her to take it off of her when school started in two weeks.
She simply said goodnight, and tried to sleep but could not. It had been like this every night. No one knew because the dark circles under her eyes were hidden by the glamour charm. She lost weight due to nerves and being too scared to eat much. She would try anyway. She felt safe at Hogwarts. That was where she needed to be.
