The Game Begins

His long index finger ran down the spine of her nude back and she shuddered involuntarily. Remembrance of how his fingers felt on the contours of her flesh led to the memories of how his fingers felt in her body. Her eyes rolled back in her head, but she managed to say steadily, "Severus, I warn you to stop."

"Before you do something you regret?"

"Yes, such as hexing you into next week," she turned and looked into his lustful black eyes, her voice becoming low. "I would hate to have to scar that-" she groaned softly and let her hand trail down his face, "Handsome visage."

A small smirk curled his lips, "You're killing me, Lady Malfoy."

The extension of her title as a Lady was not missed, and she locked her icy eyes to his without remorse as she began removing her dress in front of him. They were in her tea room, opulence screaming from the oriental rugs beneath her feet all the way to the thick curtains and marble accents. Her naked body was still shoed and bejeweled, and did not seem out of place in the least.

She picked up the pale blue dress on the floor, bending over in front of Severus with guile, and he watched her hips sway in a pendulum-style out of the room. His fingers played lightly over the flute of champagne and his eyes began to take in the room around him without interest. He had been here so often since the war ended he could walk through this Manor blindfolded. Smiling, he began to recall that during a few of their games, he had.

Severus sighed quietly, and placed the glass down onto the marble mantle of the fireplace. He wished that it wasn't extinguished so that he could floo out before Narcissa returned. While she was beautiful, he despised always longing for her to take him back as her lover. Unfortunately, she had found out how much fun it was teasing him, and would no longer take to appeasing him in any respect.

His eyes flitted back up as she re-entered the room, a white robe covering her. She almost looked angelic, despite the sneer on her face. "Severus, you remember the Weasleys, I'm sure."

He blinked. "Well, of course I do. I'm still planning on retiring the year before the next generation comes in. I can handle one or two per year, but you know that those children are all going to procreate as freely as their parents."

"Well, yes. But... well, after the war, I began to make new connections back with the wizarding world. Draco and Lucius had been killed, you having killed Lucius, if I remember correctly, you blood traitor-" She stopped, flashed a grin, then returned, "Anyhow, I made sure to at least make acquaintence with Molly. I had her over yesterday and found out some rather... unpleasant news."

Sipping his champagne again, he made no comment. Therefore, Narcissa continued, "She told me that her daughter is being wed to Johannes Lestrange."

Snape sputtered on his drink, and began laughing. When he saw the look on his former lover's face, he stopped. "I apologize, dearest. I had no idea that the man you tried so hard to pacify dumped you for an inexperienced little redhead. Must be an ego-booster. Wait, he was the one that passed out on St. Swithun's Day when you were trying to make sure that his weather stayed wet?"

The piercing quiet that stood was broken as Narcissa flung a vase at the wall. It shattered in tinkles, and Severus thanked the stars she hadn't thrown it at him with her pitcher's arm. "I tried everything, Severus! I did everything to please that ungrateful brute, and he does what all men generally do. Use sexually empowered women, then go after the sweet, moronic virgins to marry. All the while, coming back to the woman that gave him so much pleasure in the first place when he realizes how lame his new honey is in the sack."

She threw herself down into a chair in a huff. And then looked at Severus appraisingly. He knew that this had been coming. "And, Narcissa?"

"I was just wondering if you would pay a visit to our dear Ginevra."

He had been walking around the room slowly, and had made his way over to her bookshelf, as he invariably did. His fingertips traced over their bindings, and Narcissa watched them in anticipation, licking her lips. "She is quite cute, Severus. I'm sure you would enjoy taking her virtue."

Stopping to pull out a well-worn book, he smiled. "No. It's too easy," Narcissa's lust flickered into anger, "She's a very smart girl, knows how to handle boys- but the girl would fold in a second to my advances. It's just not an adventure, anymore. Oh no. I've actually had my eye on a challenge that has presented itself, as of late."

His tempermental tempress lost the edge of darkness in her eyes, which changed to curiosity. "Who?"

"A monument of loyalty and morality. Our own Saint, Hermione Granger."
