Name That Tune - MH
This is a response to LCDrusilla’s challenge, “Name That Song.” Just a fun little thing. ^_____^
Here it is folks. You need to create a story with the requirments of:
1. Must be 5 chapters or less
2. *Must contain at least one full song*
3. Any type of pairing you want (EX. F/F, M/M, F/M, F/F/M, F/M/M)
4. Can be complete smut if the writer chooses
5. Can be complete fluff if the writer chooses.
6. Can be anything the writer chooses
7. All HP characters used must remain true to their real persona as befitting from the books
8. No new characters
9. Must take place in Hogwarts Castle
10. If the story ends up being smut all sexual positions must be humanly possible
11. No bestiality
12. No pedaphiles please
13. No rape
14. No incest
15. Lastly, just have fun
*******This is to clarify NUMBER 2, the song or songs you choose must be the only words your character of choice says until that song is completed word for word. It doesn't matter how comical the scene ends. This is to test your creativity. You can split the song up between two or more characters if the song chosen has different people singing different parts.********
This is only a suggestion, if you do end up taking this challenge I would perfer it if the title of the story was NAME THAT TUNE followed by the initials of your screen name or if you want, your writing name.
I hope you don’t mind, LCDrusilla, but I decided not to repeat the refrain.

Two young men stood atop the highest tower in Hogwarts. One was smaller, with alabaster skin that looked paler still in the moonlight. His pale hair drifted loose just past his shoulders, and blew in the wind. Gray eyes looked at the other man, tears welling up that refused to fall. His companion smiled compassionately, his golden flesh emphasizing his malachite1 eyes and raven black hair.
"I can't do this. I'm not brave like you, Harry. I'm not a hero; I can't do the saving people thing!" Draco Malfoy whispered passionately, stubbornly holding back the tears that wanted to fall.
“There’s a hero, if you look inside your heart,” Harry Potter said, just as quietly.
“But I’m a Death Eater, even though I’ve turned spy. I’ve seen, and done, h-horrible things. And… and I’m a Malfoy.” He spat with disgust the name that had induced so much pride in his younger, more naïve, self.
“You don’t have to be afraid of what you are.”
“Not helping,” the blonde groused. “You’re supposed to tell me that I’m not really a Malfoy, that I don’t…” He cut himself off to take a deep, shuddering breath before continuing. “You’re supposed to have the answers, dammit! You’re supposed to know… You’re supposed to fix it…”
Draco didn’t care that he was being unreasonable. He was sobbing now, banging at the Gryffindor’s chest with his (not insignificant) fists, but Harry only hugged his once-time rival closer, until Draco relaxed. “You- you’re supposed to…”
“There’s an answer, if you reach into your soul, and the sorrow that you know will melt away,” Harry murmured into Draco’s ear.
Draco shivered, then scowled, pushing the slightly younger boy away from him. “Why are you being so cryptic? By Salazar, is this some Leader of the Light thing? If you develop an annoying, all-knowing twinkle, just put me out of my misery.”
A smile played on Harry’s lips; the death of his mentor was not something he could easily overcome, but overcome it he did. Harry was unusually silent, and his only response was to press a kiss on Draco’s temple.
Draco grew worried again, the burst of mischief quickly leaving him. “What if I can’t do it? What if I fail? What if I can’t continue like this? What then?”
“And then a hero comes along, with the strength to carry on. And you cast your fears aside, and you know you can survive.”
“There’s no hope Harry. You can bend the facts any way you like, but I’m just not a hero!”
Harry shook his head, the knowing smile still gracing his face. He insisted, “So when you feel like hope is gone, look inside you and be strong, and you'll finally see the truth - that a hero lies in you.”
Draco sighed dejectedly, snuggling closer again. “But I have no hope. There is no one to love me – I’m not even sure of you.”
Harry shook his head again, sadly this time. They had been through this time and time again. The Gryffindor knew his dragon would never believe his love unless he was good and ready. “It's a long road when you face the world alone. No one reaches out a hand for you to hold. You can find love if you search within yourself, and the emptiness you felt will disappear.”
The Slytherin thought about what Harry had just said. “You know, you’re really making no kind of sense at all. If I ever do get to be a Healer, I’ll make sure to learn the best mind-healing spells, to get your sanity back on track. If I ever do get to be a Healer.” Draco’s fondest wish was to be a Healer, so he could help put right all he had helped to tear asunder under the orders of his “Master.” The blonde couldn’t contain a characteristic sneer at the thought of the Dark Lord, but it disappeared when he thought about the rest of the statement.
“Lord knows dreams are hard to follow, but don't let anyone tear them away! Hold on, there will be tomorrow... In time, you'll find the way!” Harry cried passionately. Draco planted a chaste kiss on Harry’s lips, not agreeing or disagreeing.
“Come on. Let’s go to bed. We’ve got a big day tomorrow.”
‘I know you’ll help me, my hero.’

What do you think? Is it good? Are they too OOC? I mean, Draco seemed OOC in Halfblood Prince, so I think that he could lose the haughty attitude sometimes… Anyway, please tell me what you think! ^___________^
