Bring Him Home
//God on high
Hear my prayer
In my need
You have always been there//
Funny, he's titled the Boy who lived, supposed Savior of the Wizarding world, but he’s just a child. The first time I meet him I felt he was to young to know suffering. I was wrong. He has seen more suffering then any youth of his tender years has a right to expereince.
//He is young
he’s afraind
Let him rest
Heaven blessed
Bring him home //
He handles himself better then most men twice his age. Hides it all with a cheerfull smile and a devil may care attitude. Only those who know him well can see the confusion and fear hiding just below the surface.
//Bring him home
Bring him home//
If one thing will help him to live through this war, it’s his youth. Young bodies heal. Young spirits, get dampend, but it makes them stronger. But lord I would give a lifetime and then some to take the responsibility from him.
//He’s like the son I might have known
If God had granted me a son
The summers die
One by one//
I have no children, but if I were to choose one I could call son, I would choose him. My life and my freedom, would be well spent, to release him from this curse that is his life. He is so full of life and little by little this war is drowning that spirit.
//How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone
Bring him peace
Bring him joy
He is young
He is only a boy//
I doubt very strongly that I will live to see this war end. If I could have only one wish it would be to see him survive. To find some small peace, a little happiness after all the suffering he has endured he has earned it.
//You can take
You can give
Let him be
Let him live
If I die, let me die
Let him live, bring him home//
So my prayer is this. Watch over him, even if he doesn’t believe in you lord. Keep him safe. Let him see the end of this war, and help him heal. Simply put...Bring him back to his friends and let them live.
//Bring him home
Bring him home.//
