Legacy

**Disclaimer: Harry Potter is J.K.Rowling's baby, not mine. I can't claim any of the credit, as my imagination is completely inspired by her.**

::If I get good responses and *lots of reviews* there will be a lot to this story and it will get quite...mmm, interesting...if not.....oh well. I'll post the first few chapters and if I dont get any feedback, I won't know what direction to take this!::

"Legacy"

Prologue

The sun was high and strong on the midsummer’s day, beaming down over the Hogwarts grounds. The sunlight was brilliantly bright, almost blinding young Harry Potter as he stood beside the lake with headmistress McGonagall and Hagrid. They watched as a slight form, encased in a light green cloak, crossed the grounds.
“Knew she’d come back, I did, had to,” Hagrid said, as softly as Hagrid ever said anything, “knew she had to come back.”
The hooded figure approached the tomb silently. Gliding over the grass, proceeding slowly and respectfully toward the final resting place of the greatest wizard of an age, the figure reached the stone monument and a slender hand emerged from the folds of its cloak, reaching up to remove the hood.
Harry watched as a waterfall of rich auburn hair spilled from the hood, falling down, down past the woman’s back, catching the sunlight and seeming to ignite into a dazzling blaze. So radiant, in fact, was the woman’s fiery hair, that Harry found it almost too much to look at- it was as though the light was coming from her, and not reflected from the sun.
“Professor-”
“Wait, Harry,” McGonagall gestured back at the woman as she ran her hands along the edge of the tomb, then crumpled to the ground, leaning her head against the stone, her body wracked with sobs.
“Ambrosia Dumbledore has come home.”
