This was my very first piece of fanfic. Please don't be too harsh on it. It is complete, and I will gladly post it quickly, if you wish.

Beautiful Soul
Chapter 1
Harry sat and stared out his window miserably. Stuck in yet another summer with the Dursleys, and it was already grating on his nerves. The fact it was the last summer he would have to stay with these people didn’t help.
Over the first week of being home again, Dudley was a bit less of an obnoxious prat than he normally was. It wasn’t explained until much later that week. Dudley actually had a girlfriend. It was more of a shock that someone actually wanted Dudley than the attitude change.
During the week Dudley continuously played one CD over and over again. Those long hours of listening to Dudley belting out the words to the songs, Harry realized he actually liked listening to the voice of this musician. His experience with muggle music was limited. Dudley typically took his music with him as he went out with his friends, but oddly enough he was staying home all day long. He was always singing or talking on the phone.
Curiosity finally got the better of Harry. He had asked Dudley why he kept listening to that one CD and stayed home. Dudley admitted that he was seeing a lovely girl from school. He talked to her daily and she wanted him to listen to the CD all the time. He planned on taking her to see the concert at the end of the summer. Dudley pulled out the CD case and let Harry see it.
To say that Harry fell head over heels in love at the sight on the CD cover would be putting it mildly. The melancholy, sexy look that Jesse McCartney was giving on the front of the CD case hit Harry hard in the stomach. He knew in that instant that he had to not only meet Jesse, but also had to go out with him. Harry had already come to grips knowing he was gay. He had told all of his friends back in their 5th year at Hogwarts. That bitter episode with Cho proved that he really did not find females very attractive.
Dudley, totally oblivious to the reaction Harry was having to the CD, continued talking. Jesse McCartney was going to be in concert on the 31st of July in London. He was going to take Mary Jane. It would be the first chance they would have to see each other until school started again. That was all Harry needed to hear. He knew he had to be at that concert. He went up to his room and began to plan.
