Prologue:
Not many people could afford Hermione Granger.
The best and most accomplished Head Girl Hogwarts has ever seen, voted “Most Likely to Succeed In Everything” by more than three quarters of her year. She was intelligent, determined, charming and responsible; she was familiar with 11 languages including Mermish which she picked up with difficulty from Dumbledore, French, Italian and Russian, therefore being the perfect translator; she was famous for helping the legendary Boy-Who-Lived bring down the Dark Lord in the end of their seventh year in Hogwarts; she had both beauty and brains- she was the perfect employee.
Even before her graduation from Hogwarts, she received many letters from various companies, seeking employment. She read them all and finally settled for a job in the ministry as junior assistant to the Minister of Public Relations. In less than half a year, she was promoted to senior assistant for outstanding work and two years later she was transferred from the Ministry of Public Relations to work as the personal assistant to Minister of Magic- Percy Weasley, leaving her job as assistant to Minister of Public Relations.
She resigned two years later, saying that she was ready for a change of working environment.
At age 22, Hermione Granger was wanted by major companies everywhere.
She lived in a muggle penthouse with best friend Ginny Weasley, who was chaser on Harry Potter's Quidditch Team.
She tore open yet another letter, waving the owl away. She unfolded the letter and scanned it in a few seconds- years of experience as Percy's secretary polished her speed reading skills to perfection. She read the letter in less than 15 seconds and tossed it into the fire.
Why in the world would she want to work in a company which manufactured wool when she could be doing something else? Some people were just plain ridiculous.

"Hermione Granger," The first words out of Blaise Zabini's mouth as he entered his boss' office.
"Excuse me?" Draco Malfoy asked, unfolding his legs that were propped up on the table and returning them to the ground so he could stand up.
"I said Hermione Granger," Blaise said impatiently.
"What about her?" Draco said sharply. Hermione Granger.
That name conjured up countless memories in his head, most of them making his chest constrict horribly so he found it hard to breathe.
"You said you wanted nothing less than the best for your assistant," Blaise shrugged. "She is the best."
"Still?" Draco asked skeptically.
"Excuse me?" Blaise laughed, sitting down across Draco. "That woman just quit a job as personal assistant to the Minister of Magic? You think that no one would think of hiring her? That girl clinched three contracts from China, Italy and Russia, the three countries that have always been on bad terms with us. She is the best."
Draco leaned forward, resting his elbows on his desk, meeting his best friend's eyes. "What do you think?"
Blaise rolled his eyes. "Merlin, if I were you I hire her in a heartbeat."
Draco's brow furrowed. “She’s sure to have many offers… how do I make sure she chooses us?”
"That's up to you, you should know her well enough to know what she likes and dislikes, you two were fellow Heads at Hogwarts," Blaise stood up and left, grinning.
Draco heard him flirt with his new secretary Emma for a few moments before leaving.
He leaned back, closing his eyes, for once letting his mind drift back to his seventh year to at Hogwarts.
