I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Darkened Lust Part One
This is an ongoing story being written by myself and my good friend Rebecca. It is a shameless self-insertion. I make no apologies! Read if you dare... Somewhat of a plot but mostly smut... ^_^;
I feel that I must make mention of this, since it was brought up by a reviewer. The women in this story are real. Very much so. With real lives outside of the words you are about to read and with real people in their lives. Both Ami\'s (Myself), and Becca\'s signifant others and her stepson are mentioned in these pages because they, too, are real people and are a part of their lives. I thought that was apparent when I warned of this being a self-insertion. Real people inserted into a fictional setting.
I\'m not entirely sure exactly how I feel about the Mary Sue comment. Flattered? Or insulted? Actually, I\'m mostly amused. Since aren\'t Mary Sues seen as \'too perfect\' to be considered \'real\' characters? So, does this mean that the reviewer saw Becca and I as \"too perfect\"? I can assure you, I am anything but! Ah, I won\'t speak for Becca, but she\'s never struck me as the \"Mary Sue\" type. And I say that as a compliment! ^_^;
Disclaimer thing: I do not own Severus Snape. He is of the Harry Potter world and belongs to J.K. Rowling. Becca and I are merely...borrowing him...for awhile. Also, there is a referece to Stephen King\'s Dark Tower series. Obviously, that belongs to Mr. King.
Darkened Lust
By Ami E. Bowen and Rebecca Middleton
Part One
Purposely, Severus Snape took the steps of the muggle porch two at a time. He knew that their...appointment...he was loath to call it a \'date\'...for tea was not until a few days hence, but he had decided that the longer he waited to discuss what needed to be discussed, the more at risk he was.
Lifting one hand, partially covered by the sleeve of his midnight robes, he rapped loud and meaningfuly upon the wood of the door. He just hoped that he\'d come at a time late enough in the day, (even though the sun had been roused for a few hours, now, at least), to catch the young muggle alone and not surrouned by family. As he waited, he focused his mind upon the inhabitants of the house and his perpetual scowl altered into a breif half-grin of satisifaction.
The muggle woman was...well...he could feel another, familar mind within as well...if not alone, at least she was with the one other he needed to speak with. He knocked once more upon the door, drawing his dark hood up over his head and hiding himself within the folds of the fabric. He sent forth a subtle-yet-demanding suggestion within the mind of the mistress of the house to make haste and respond to the now-a-bit-more-urgant knocking at her door.
Within the simple little house, Rebecca, (Becca), Middleton started at the knock on the door.
\"Who the hell could that be this early?\" she asked her friend Ami Bowen, who merely shrugged.
\"I have a feeling you better answer it, though,\" Ami said. \"Don\'t you?\"
Strangly enough, Becca had the same feeling. Sighing with a bit of irritation, she got up to answer the door. Why do I only get unexpected visitors when I barely crawl out of bed wearing a pair of shabby sleeping shorts and t-shirt? She wondered with no little amount of irritation.
The knock at the door sounded again, more persistant this time. \"I\'m coming, hold on! Sheesh!\" As she swung open the door, further speech died in her throat. She found herself facing the man both she and her friend had both fallen hard for, the darkly fascinating wizard that had always before tried to avoid their company. Here he was, on her doorstep, and he even had a trace of a smile on his face.
Becca heard Ami\'s sharp intake of breath behind her and she knew her friend was as floored by this as she was. The Professor smirked. \"Dare I hope that you are going to invite me in, Miss Middleton?\"
It was lucky that Ami was there, because Becca couldn\'t speak. Ami was able to find enough presence of mind to ask him in, though she couldn\'t control the slight tremor in her voice. \"Please, sir, come right in.\"
Becca stood aside allowing him to pass, and felt the flutter of his robes against her bare legs.
Pushing past the girls, Severus took quick note of the surroundings. Pulling his hood down as he strode across the room, he lifted his wand from the folds of his cloak and waved it towards the windows. At once the blinds closed and curtains whooshed downwards, cutting off the morning sun from entering the house and anyone from peering within.
Spinning about, his tucked his wand away and addressed the two rather stunned-looking muggle women; \"Good day, Miss Middleton, Miss Bowen. I hope I am not disturbing your...morning?\"
\"Oh, uh... of...of course not, sir...\" Ami mananged, flushing heavily as she stood there in the flannel pajamas she\'d worn the night before. \"We...we were just about to have breakfast. Would you care to join us?\" Ami had been staying over with her friend for the past few nights and they\'d stayed up chatting all night, much to the annoyance of Rebecca\'s husband. Though, they\'d been quiet enough in the livingroom not to disturb her slumbering stepson asleep in his own room.
Severus rested his gaze upon Ami and raised a brow, \"I have...broken my fast earlier this morning. But, please, do not allow me to keep you two. I do, however, have something of importance to discuss with the two of you.\"
Rebecca, still a bit shocked, finally found her voice, though it came out in a whisper at first, \"Professor, sir, might I ask what...what the important matter is?\"
\"We shall have time enough to speak once the two of you...eat and perhaps freshen up?\" he eyed the woman and their, well, for lack of a better phrase, state-of-dress, and noticed that the blush painting Miss Bowen\'s cheeks had risen to stain Miss Middleton\'s fair complexioned visage as well. He paid it no mind. He was used to this from the two of them, after all.
\"Oh!\" Ami started, glancing down at herself and then across at her friend, who was still donning the crimson satiny nightgown she\'d worn the night before to show off to her guest, along with a lace-trimmed wrap. It was ankle-length and modest enough to wear around the house if she kept the wrap on and the belt secured about her waist. But, during the morning she\'d allowed the belt to slip loose and the gown showed off quite a bit of cleavage...
\"Of course, please, make yourself at home...\" Rebecca said, softly, being the woman of the house and grabbed Ami\'s hand, tugging her into the corridor and hissing into her ear, \"Oh...my...god! Can you believe it! Professor Snape! Here! In my house!!\"
Ami smiled and nodded, her dark eyes wide with as much stunned excitement as her friend was with her verbal expression; \"I wonder what he wants?\"
Severus stood, arms crossed, in the center of the livingroom, he couldn\'t hear the women\'s hushed voices in the hallway, but he could pick up the thoughts flickering through their minds easily enough, and found himself smirking silently in amusement.
\"Never mind what he wants right now,\" Becca answered. \"What am I going to do if D.W. and Dragon wake up? I\'ve tried to keep this part of my life quiet, and now it just waltzes in my door!\"
\"I wouldn\'t say he waltzed. Glided, maybe,\" Ami answered with a smirk that could almost rival Snape\'s.
\"Oh, ha. Ha. I have laughed. Now what do I do?\"
In the living room, Snape had picked up the gist of Becca\'s worries. He pointed his wand in turn at each bedroom and uttered a spell. \"Miss Middleton, you need have no worries about your family discovering my presence. I have assured they will continue sleeping peacefully for a few more hours. Now, if you two will please make yourselves decent and rejoin me...\"
Ami crossed her arms and looked at Becca. \"Well, that takes care of that. Now all we have to worry about is what he wants from us. I wonder...\"
Becca wondered, too. After all, she knew what they wanted from him. But it seemed highly unlikely that he had anything kinky in mind. But how could you tell with Severus Snape?
\"We better get dressed,\" Ami gently reminded her.
\"Yeah. Guess so.\" Rebecca opened her hall closet and took out a dress she hardly ever wore. Ankle length, black velvet with long flowing sleeves and a corset-laced back. It wasn\'t revealing, but she had gained a few pounds since buying it and it clung to her rather more tightly than it should have through the chest.
However, wearing it might make Snape feel more comfortable being around her than if she wore her usual jeans and KoRn shirts. Now what was going to make her more comfortable around him? She looked at Ami. \"You\'re better at picking outfits than I am, so I know you\'ve got something cool packed away. Now\'s the time to get it.\"
\"I\'m waiting!\" Snape\'s voice now held a bite of impatience. Ami squealed and rushed to the guest room, while Rebecca began shedding her night clothes and pulling on the velvet dress there in the hallway. In the living room, Snape struggled to hold back his laughter. They were so amusing, these muggle admirers of his.
As Severus waited for the women to make themselves presentable, he took some time to study the room. He took in the decor swiftly, noting various muggle effects scattered here and there, including evidence of a child, which, he knew, was Miss Middleton\'s young charge.
Within the hallway, Rebecca had finished drawing on the dress and smoothed the material down her thighs. She hesitated, wondering if she should wait for Ami before rejoining the Professor. Just as she was about to re-enter the livingroom, Ami appeared, dressed within a rather daring, low-cut black silken blouse, whose sleeves draped downwards to cover the tops of her hands and a gauzy, full skirt that was nearly transparent if she stood in the sunlight.
It was a good thing the house was rather dim wih all the blinds and curtains drawn! The outfit was one of Ami\'s favorites, Rebecca knew, and normally the girl would have the sense to wear a slip beneath. Rebecca shook her head at her friend\'s obviousness and raised a brow, \"You are so bad!\" she mock-scolded.
\"If you two are quite through!\" Severus snapped, and they jumped, hurrying to join him. To their pleased surprise he\'d charmed a rather quaint little breakfast of crackers, cheese, eggs, ham and toast and had it arranged accordingly upon the coffee table, \"Now, eat and I shall talk...\"
He waited, shaking off their breathless and amazed gratitude, after all, it was merely a simple spell, nothing to get so worked up about...sometimes he forgot that things were very different in the muggle world, he gathered his robes about him and perched gracefully on the edge of one of the livingroom chairs, across from the women, who had seated themselves on the sofa in front of the coffee table.
\"First of all...\" he began, templing his fingers beneath his jaw and peircing first one and then the other with his dark-as-night eyes, \"Pray, tell me, exactly how much of...my history...and current situation...do you know?\" He would rather not have to began his entire sordid tale over, from his boyhood as a Hogwarts\' student, to his unfortunate part in the death of the late Headmaster.
Between the two of them, Becca and Ami filled Snape in on the details they knew of his life, beginning with his first sight of the annoying Harry Potter. They swapped the tale easily and naturally between them, hesitating only when they got to the part about Potter snooping into the Penseive.
They looked uncomfortable about admitting that they knew about his humiliation at the hands of the bloody Mauraders, but he merely gestured for them to continue. He could feel their outrage towards the Mauraders for their actions; somehow it was reassuring. When they had recounted the death of Dumbledore, both of them fell silent.
\"Is that all?\" he asked.
\"Yes, sir\", Ami answered. \"We know you and Draco escaped Hogwart\'s, then a few weeks ago Becca and I found your home.\"
\"We\'ve guessed that you\'re in hiding\", Becca spoke up, \"and that no one in the wizarding world can find you for some reason. But, that\'s all.\"
Snape sat back and seemed to be considering. Ami opened her mouth to speak, but Becca placed a hand on her arm and shook her head. Finally the Professor leaned forward again and stared at them piercingly. \"I have another question. Exactly where do your loyalties lie? With the Dark Lord...or with the Order of the Phoenix?\"
Ami and Becca looked at each other. There was only one answer to this. Meeting his gaze again, both of them answered; \"With you, sir. Our loyalty lies with you.\"
Severus regarded the two of them silently for a moment. \"I am still uncertain as to what, exactly, I ever did to obtain such...blind faith...\" he murmured, low, under his breath. Quickly, his expression, like mercury, altered back into the feirce visage he was so known for.
Thick dark brows knitting as he spoke, louder this time, \"Excellent. That was, of course, exactly what I wished to hear. Now...my reason for calling on you so early...\" he paused and touched the collar of his frock coat, tapping long fingers against the severely high neckline. A subtle habit of his that most people hardly noticed.
He was not given much to fidgeting, so when he did, it was subtle, graceful, hardly worthy of observation. He watched the muggle women for a moment, (who\'d not touched their food as their attention was riveted upon him), before continuing, \"I ask that you allow me to reside, either here with you, Miss Middleton, or with you, Miss Bowen, at your own...humble abode...for a...period of time...\"
At their twin looks of bafflement, Severus went on, expecting this reaction, after all, \"Of course, means shall be taken to conceal my presence from either of your family and friends. I would not have more muggles than nessesary knowing of my presence at any rate.\" he gave a somewhat pained expression at this and added; \"I would not ask this of you if it were not of dire importance.\"
After a moment Ami blinked and seemed to gather herself, \"Oh...sir...I...well, I\'d love to have you stay with me...but...I mean...\" Even with his promise of magical concealment, she didn\'t quite understand how that would work and should her boyfriend find out... She looked helplessly at Becca. There was no denying that Ami would adore having the wizard stay with her, but she just didn\'t see how that would be possible.
Beneath the coffee table, Ami lightly nudged Becca and smiled uncertainly up at Severus, hoping that Becca would take her hint to speak up and offer her own house to him or at least make a good alternative suggestion. \"Well?\" Severus asked, not used to waiting so long for a response to a relatively simple query, \"I do not believe that was too difficult a question...\"
Snape waited for either one of the women to speak up. When both continued their silence, he added, \"Of course, I can offer...compensation...for your trouble.\"
Oh, gods! Becca thought, Does he have any idea what that brings to mind? Glancing at Ami, she could tell that her friend was thinking along similar lines. However, he just couldn\'t stay here.
\"Sir. I have an alternative. If you stay here, you\'ll have to go to the trouble of modifying my family\'s memory, and stay inside constantly because of the neighbors. But, my parents are on vacation for a couple of weeks. They live about an hour from here in a very secluded area. There are no other houses in line of sight over there. We could go there...you, Ami, and I. There are only two bedrooms, but I suppose Ami and I could share one...or one of us could use the sofabed...\"
Snape considered. All in all this sounded better than he\'d hoped. A couple of weeks, surely that would be enough time. And in the company of his two \"stalkers\"...well, he didn\'t have to employ occulemency to know what was going through their minds at the prospect of being alone with him. He hid a smile. \"Very well\", he said. \"Shall we go?\"
\"Now?\" Becca asked.
\"No time like the present, is there? I can help the two of you apparate. I only need you to describe the place.\"
\"I can do better than that.\" Becca replied. She got up and retrieved a photo album from a cabinet. Flipping through it, she showed Snape an unmoving muggle photograph of a yellow house, surrounded on three sides by forested hills. \"Will this do?\"
\"It looks perfect, Miss Middleton. Now, if the two of you will gather what you need, we can go.\"
\"Wait,\" Ami said. \"I have to call my boyfriend and let him know that I\'m staying with Becca a bit longer. I don\'t want him to worry.\"
\"Yes, and I need to leave D.W. a note telling him where I am. That, and kiss Dragon goodbye.\"
Snape sighed impatiently. \"Very well. But hurry. The sooner we are gone, the better.\"
As Ami dialed the phone, Becca wrote a hurried note telling D.W. that her parents wanted her and Ami to housesit while they were gone. Leaving it beside the bed, she kissed her husband and whispered, \"I love you.\" Then she went into Dragon\'s room.
This was harder. Everything in her was crying out against leaving him, though she knew she would be back. She smoothed his long hair away from his face and kissed his cheek. \"Mom loves you,\" she whispered, her eyes filling with tears.
\"Your stepson?\" a doubtful voice came from the doorway. She looked over her shoulder at Snape for a moment before turning back around.
\"Yes, this is him.\"
\"He looks like you.\"
Becca smiled. She had heard this many times before. \"Just a coincidence.\"
\"You love him?\"
Becca turned around and faced Snape. \"He\'s my life,\" she said simply.
Snape placed his hands on her shoulders and gazed into her eyes. She could feel him gaining access into her mind. The sensation was foreign, but for some reason comforting. \"He will be fine. You need feel no worry about leaving him.\" He bent and did something so un-Snape-like that she could hardly believe it. He brushed her cheek with his lips in a kiss meant to offer comfort.
\"Well,\" he said as he released her. \"Shall we see if your friend is ready to go?\"
Ami had gathered together her small dufflebag of clothing, she really did travel light, (one gray and green dufflebag, and a black backpack), one of the things that set her apart from most women her age, and had called Shawn. As she expected, he\'d forgotten to plug the phone back in after being online, so she left him a hurried message telling him that she\'d decided, since she and Becca were having so much fun together, to expand her vacation by a few weeks.
Picking up her brush, she ran it throug her thick mess of hair and attempted to tame the wayward locks. After hastily braiding it back out of her face, she turned to see both Becca and Snape at the doorway to the guestroom. \"Oh, hey... I\'m almost ready!\" she said, zipping up her dufflebag and grabbing her backpack and swinging it over one shoulder, \"Okay! Ready!\"
Becca had entered the guestroom behind him and Severus grasped her elbow firmly, \"Miss Bowen, if you would?\" he proffered his other arm and Ami, flushing slightly, held her dufflebag with one hand and took his free arm with the other. \"I would ask that you both take a deep breath...and do not let go...Now, mimick my movements, please...\"
With the little yellow house planted firmly in mind, and the location of the place, which he\'d drawn from Becca\'s memories, Severus Snape piveted with the women, focusing on his desire to be where that small house was located. The familar sensation of being stretched through a rubber band filled him. He was used to the feeling, he\'d disapperated and apperated many times before, but he knew the muggle women would have a harder time of it.
He knew he was correct when, as they reappeared outside, surrounded by trees, the quiant muggle abode welcoming in front of them, Becca let go of him and ran for the bushes. Ami looked helplessly towards her friend and back at Severus. She, too, felt rather queasy.
\"It is a common reaction,\" Snape offered, in explaination, \"The first time one apperates can be a bit unsettling...\" Turning from Ami, Severus Snape cast a few spells around the place, one such spell prevented anyone from detecting any more magic being used in this vicinity. He just had to hope that the act of casting the preventive spell wouldn\'t be...noticed. Every other spell after that should be...indetectible.
After a few moments, the sounds of retching in the brush came to a halt and, Becca, looking paler than normal, but with a slight embarrassed expression, rejoined them. \"Sorry about that...\" she murmured, \"I never expected it would feel like that! That was like the worse carnival ride in the exsistance of man!\"
\"Wizards have been apperating much longer than your carvinals have been around,\" Snape said with a touch of amusment, \"Now, if you would, Miss Middleton...\" he gestured towards the house and they followed Becca up to the door and waited as she fumbled in her purse for the set of keys she had with her.
Impatiently, Snape drew his wand from his frock coat and, after moving Becca aside politely, tapped the door, uttering the unlocking charm. There was a slight clicking sound and the door swung ajar almost as if a breeze had blown it open.
\"Wow...\" Ami said, as she followed them inside, \"Talk about breaking and entering!\"
\"Well, normally I would have no desire to enter, unvited, into a muggle house.\" Severus said as he cast another spell to lock and ward the doors of the house and the house itself from both magical and physical intrusion. One can never been too careful, after all. \"And wizards and witches have charms to prevent the use of unlocking spells on their own homes.\"
\"I could have just use the key,\" Becca said, holding out the shiney silver object between her thumb and forefinger, \"But, I suppose impatience always wins, doesn\'t it?\"
\"So, uh,\" Ami, ever so articulate, began, \"The sleeping arrangements...\"
I feel that I must make mention of this, since it was brought up by a reviewer. The women in this story are real. Very much so.
