How it started

I don\'t own anything that you may find yourself already knowing. I only own the new characters and a computer...yup, what riches have I.

In a seedy pub in London, two witches sat discussing what the locals of a near by muggle town were in an uproar about.

\"I\'m telling you, Remy, their just going in flocks to get the bloody thing.\" Cali, the more outspoken of the two, explained in a hushed tone. \"Has \'em all blown over.\"

\"They can\'t be that thick. Just cause their muggles can\'t mean they\'d buy that load of rubbish. Honestly, a baby, barely a toddler, taking down a wizard like Tom Riddle.\"

\"Have you listened to a word I\'ve said? She got everything wrong! She\'s in that bloody \'Order of the Phoenix\' she boasts about in the book. Want\'s to play up the good side, like there are sides.\"

\"Well, there were, I suppose. That was ages ago though.\" Remy said thoughtfully.

\"Yeah, well, the way she\'s writing on about it, you\'d think Harry Potter was still alive.\"

\"Well, Cali, what do you want me to do? I could careless what happens in the muggle world. Maybe the real story wouldn’t have sold enough.\" Remy said after thinking of different scenarios in her mind.

\"Well, she shouldn’t be spreading lies about Riddle. I mean honestly, you\'d think he\'d lost his mind by the way she goes on.\"

\"Well hurrah for her, then. Just leave it alone. We\'ve been living with the rumors of the \'light side\' for years. Just because some woman comes out with a book...\"

\"Seven books!\" Cali interrupted quickly.

\"Fine, just because some women comes out with seven books doesn’t mean she\'s plotting to enlighten the muggle world. Some people have fallen on hard times. I bet not one person believes for a second any of it could be real.\" Remy finished while sending Cali a glare that let her know she was less than impressed with her outburst.

\"But she\'s telling them actual events. When Black killed all those people, she said it was Peter Pettigrew. Not only that, she gave the exact location, date and time.\" Cali, who was used to having to persuade people, stressed as she picked up her butterbeer.

\"You\'re exaggerating. No one knows the exact time.\" Remy, who was used to shooting down Cali\'s thoughts, said flatly as she turned to the bar to signal for another drink.

\"You know what I mean. People are going to start digging. Then who\'ll be sayin\' \'I told the bloody lot of you so\'?\"

\"You can rest assured it won\'t be you.\"

\"Will you at least listen to my idea?\"

\"What for? You never pull through. Remember the time you were going to be a painter? The only good that came from that was the paint was used to prank the Gryffindor\'s.\" Remy, who had sighed heavily at her friends question, reminded the girl beside her.

\"I was fifteen. Leave off it, would you?\" Cali asked, with a dramatic sigh of her own.

\"Fine, Cali, what\'s the idea? And you can wipe that smirk right off your face. I didn’t even agree to anything.\"

Cali smiled at her friend and set off in the bed idea she\'d ever come up with. \"Well, we write the actual events. What really happened\"

\"That\'s it? That\'s the plan?\" When Cali nodded Remy let out a snort of laughter. \"And what\'s it to be called? \'The right story because Calico Malfoy said it is\'? Is that the title, all laid out in your head?\" Remy asked with another burst of laughter.

\"Leave off on the fire whisky.\" Cali muttered while motioning the bartender for two butterbeers.

\"So you think that you\'re going to make a ton of money and overshadow the woman that\'s writing the books in the first place?\"

\"Yes!\" Cali said with a smile. She watched as the barmaid made her way to their table. After the help set the drinks on the table, Cali stopped her and put the fire whisky back on the tray. ANone for her again.\" She said as she met the woman\'s eyes.

\"Cali, I was having a go at you. We both know you\'ll never go through with it.\" Remy explained as she picked up the butterbeer and rolled her eyes in disgust.

\"Remy, you don\'t understand. She was talking about my mum and dad and Draco. Spreading horrible lies too.\"

\"Cali, Cali, Cali. No on believes her! They think she\'s a muggle, why should they believe her?\"

\"Well the kids are growing up believing the stuff. When we were going to Kings Cross to catch a train for holiday\'s I saw one of them try to walk in between Platforms nine and ten. What do you say to that?\"

“You’re imagining things.”
