Harry Potter and the Immortal Council

Harry Potter and the Immortal Council
Chapter One: Reaching Out
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A boy awoke from what was the weirdest dream he had ever had. As most of you can guess I am speaking of Harry James Potter, the Boy Who Lived. Ever since Hogwarts had ended for summer vacation, Harry had been having dreams, not about Sirius and the Department of Mysteries, but about people he didn’t even know.
“Are you sure that we are doing the right thing, by not telling anyone about this?” a woman asked her husband.
“Of course, if we tell anyone, even Albus, it would mean that I lose everything.” the man told his wife.
The two people heard a door open and close, and then looked up to see a mysterious woman who was in her 40s walking into the room and sitting next to the man.
“Are you ready? It is now or never.” she told them.
“We are ready.” the man told her.
“Follow me.” She told them.
The man and woman followed her out of the room and down a hallway to a chamber where about twenty people were waiting for them, a baby in his mother’ s arms the entire time. They came to a stop at the other end of the chamber from where they had entered. She stood on top of a raised platform and extended her arms toward the woman.
“Zara, may I greet your newborn son?” the other woman asked of her.
“Yes my lady, you may.” Zara responded, curtsying and holding her arms out for her to take the baby.
The other woman took the baby from his mother’s arms and looked at the baby with a smile on her face.
“Quiet all of you.” The older woman said to everyone else, holding the baby in her arms.
“We, The Immortal Council, have gathered here to welcome this child into our circle, to vow to help and protect this child, as he is one of us. We will never turn our back on him. Help me greet the son of Marko and Zara, help me greet the one who will be known by Feodoro, for he is a divine gift.” the older woman said as she addressed the people in the chamber.
A golden bowl was passed around the room, each person in the room putting a few drops of blood in it. Once everyone had put a few drops of blood into the bowl, it was given back to the mysterious woman. She took the bowl and put it to Feodoro’s mouth to let him drink the blood in it. The infant drank the blood as if it were milk. When the he had finished, the older woman handed him back to his mother and stepped off the platform, then she bent down and kissed him on the forehead and whispered in his ear, “Good luck Feodoro, may the gods be with you.”
With that, she bowed her head to Marko and Zara, and left the chamber.
End of Harry’s Dream
Harry had been having this dream every night for the last two weeks, ever since he left Hogwarts. He had no idea what or who it was about, all he knew was that he somehow felt connected to the two people who that woman had called Marko and Zara.
Harry now looked over to his clock to see what time it was. 5:00, his clock read. ‘Time to get up,’ Harry thought as he got up and went over to his trunk to pick out clothes for the day. While Harry was getting dressed, he was thinking of Sirius and everything else that had happened that night. He felt like he would burst if he didn’t let his feelings out soon, but who to tell.
Harry thought about it for a bit and couldn’t think of anyone to tell. Sirius was dead, Ron would be no help, Hermione would pity him and feel sorry for him, Mrs. Weasley would treat him like a little kid, Mr. Weasley wouldn’t work either, everyone else in the Order would feel sorry for him. Luna, Neville, Ginny, and Mrs. Figg wouldn’t work because Harry didn’t know them well enough. Harry couldn’t think of anyone else, so he went to look outside his window. He saw the hill that had been his childhood refuge, seeing that hill again pulled him into a memory he hadn’t looked back on in almost six years.
A seven year old version of Harry was lying on his back looking up at the clouds when a female voice brought him back down to earth.
“Harry, can I talk to you for a minute?” Asked the voice of Ivy Marcus, the one friend Harry had had during his difficult childhood.
“How did you find me?” Harry wondered as he sat up to face her.
Ivanna (or Ivy as she preferred to be called) Marcus was about 4’1”, had golden blonde hair, sky blue eyes, pale skin, she was also thin, but not as thin as a stick. Most of the people in the neighborhood considered her the prettiest girl at school (for a six year old that is). Her birthday wasn’t until October. Lately Harry had begun to fancy her a little.
“I noticed you coming up here one day about five months ago and thought you would be here. I was wondering if we could talk.” Harry had remembered her asking.
“Sure, sit down.” Harry said.
“I came to say goodbye, we are moving to Egypt.” Ivy had said with a sad look in her eyes.
“I’m going to miss you, Ava as well.” He had said, pulling her into a hug and trying to stop the tears from falling.
Ava Marcus was Ivy’s cousin and was Harry’s only other friend before Hogwarts. She had chestnut brown hair with natural highlights, chocolate brown eyes, was about the same height and weight as Ivy. They had the same pale skin, and they both had voices that sounded like the voices of angels, even though there voices sounded nothing alike.
When Harry finally pulled away, he looked into his friend’s blue eyes and asked her if they would ever see each other again.
“We will see each other again before your sixteenth birthday, I promise we will. I have to go now, but when you need someone to talk to, send me an owl.” Ivy told him.
Harry watched her walk off to her house, which was two blocks away from his.
End of Harry’s Memory
**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~
Harry had not seen or heard from her in nine years. Tuesday July 16, 1996 was today’s date. It has been exactly nine years since he had last seen her. Harry hadn’t realized it until just now, but Ivy was a half blood or pureblood witch.
As soon as that had dawned on Harry, he went to send her an owl, like she had asked nine years ago.
Dear Ivy,
I know we haven’t seen or spoken to each other in nine years, but I think you are the only one who will understand me instead of showing me pity and feeling sorry for me. I haven’t thought about you in close to six years, I hope you can forgive me for that. Can you arrange a time and place for us to meet up? I don’t want to tell you everything in a letter. I am at the Dursleys’ right now, but I don’t know how long it will be before one of my friends from Hogwarts come to pick me up. I can’t wait until I see you again, I have missed you. Please right back soon.
Love,
Harry
PS: My owl’s name is Hedwig by the way.
Harry sent Hedwig off with that letter and went downstairs for breakfast. When Harry got downstairs he grabbed a piece of toast and walked out the door toward his old childhood refuge.
