Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Chapter One: Farewells Only Prolong The Sorrow
Disclaimer: I own none of these characters, and they belong to mrs JK Rowling, the goddess. I might forget to put op disclaimers and if I do, im sorry, and it was in the frist chapter. Also, the songs im using in this are From My Chemical Romance! dont get confused! thats what they are from! lol
The title will make alot more sense when I do chapeter two, This Chapters just to get out all the kinks. All right, this is a weird one, I think you all will like it, and well, I\'ve been kicking around this idea for a while. It might incorporate song lyrics too, so well see . . .
This first part takes place when Severus is 17, Harry 5, and Draco 6. In the rest of the story they are going to be much older. This isn\'t a beta\'d version . . . only cause I was really bored and wanted to get it out.

Sunshine illuminated long black hair sprawled elegantly upon a park bench. Basking in the sun, the boy enjoyed the new book Mr. Malfoy bought him. Completely enthraled by the text, words playing into his mind fed his imagination with new discoveries, and bright ideas. His eyes couldn\'t move fast enough to follow how quickly his mind danced, the-
\"Sevie. . . \"
\"Sev\'rus?\"
\"SEVIE!\"
Turning his head, the seventeen-year-old boy looked at the pale blue eyes screwed in anger.
\"Yes Draco?\"
\"Didn\'t Father say we need to be back home at noon ta meet the twits?\"
\"The twits? What? Oh you mean the Durselys. Honestly your father must be more careful with what he says. \" Severus finished the last sentence to himself, recalling what Lucius had said. \"Yes, but Draco, its only-\" . . . shit. \"Time to go Draco!\" Dragging the six-year-old behind he ran from the park.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
\"Yes, Mrs. Dursely, I apologize for this horrid burden you must bear, it\'s simply preposterous to be expected to help. Honestly. And once again, Im sure Draco, and his play mate Severus will be here shortly. \"
\"Yes well, if he ever needs another playmate, you can know we have no other use for . . . er . . . the boy. We think well have him work at the tavern when he\'s old enough, but for now . . . \"
\"Yes, well, I do really hope it works out.\" Lucius looked elegantly masking disgust as the equine of a woman blathered about taking care of her orphaned nephew. It was like a parade of animals between her, her walrus spouse, and their whale child. A knocking on the door took the woman away from the room and through the immaculate house and strait to the door.
When she was followed by Draco and Severus, a calculated glare between father and son nearly caused the air to crackle.
\"Wonderful for you to join us.\" Before a biting comment could follow, the pale skinned elder boy spoke up.
\"Please let me explain, Master Malfoy, I was with Draco in the park, and I being ever interested in my book completely lost track in time.\"
\"Ah yes, Please Petunia, Do meet Severus. He is Draco\'s Playmate, and . . . mentor if you will. Quite the Scholar he is. He takes from our private tutor, and has high hopes of going to Hogwarts college.\"
\"Yes, The Potters had that planned for their . . . boy.\" Still, obviously appalled by the term the woman seemed to have a difficult time spitting out the title from her elongated neck. Continuing, she looked at the door to the next room. \"They have all sorts of funds, however, they can only go to his schooling, we aren\'t allowed a penny! My goodness! They have a designated elementary and everything. Oh well, this means he\'ll be away for a good while, at least till he\'s 16. He supposed to be some sort of genius, my god, genius indeed. Rather slow if you ask me, nothing compared to my Dudders!\" the woman affectionately hugged the blonde thing next to her.
\"Can I meet him?\" Draco\'s small voice rang through as one, but spoke for three. Lucius perked a bit, ready to change the subject from the offspring of these vile creatures, and Severus just interested in meeting a new person.
\"Oh, but do you want too? I mean, I\'m sure you\'d have more fun with dud-\"
\" I believe it would be a nice treat to meet this burden!\" Lucius chuckled, hoping for a subject change. Petunia, if a little flustered, got up and went into the next room, unlocking it with a key that rested on a chain around her neck.
\"Well! I say he can\'t be more than what? Four?\" Lucius watched from afar as the small thing was dragged by the harsh unforgiving arm.
\"Five, to be exact. Go forward, you useless boy!\" The last part being spat at the ebony haired boy. Lucius hadn\'t seen him well before but as he walked up, his breath suddenly was lost in the room. To compare this boy to any earthly creature would be rather insulting.
Severus who was avidly looking at the pictures, losing interest in the conversation, only looked at the boy when he noticed something that had never happened before: Lucius was silent. Tearing his eyes from Lucius he noted the boy in the center of the room. He looked rather like a life size china doll, pale skin, perfect red lips, small fragile cheekbones. He had yet to see a creature so beautiful in his life, let alone a 5-year-old boy! Looking closer he saw what made the boy so exotic. Large emerald eyes stared back at him. Draco had always had the largest eyes he\'d ever seen, but no, this boy now won that battle. Skimming over Severus, the scared looking boy gazed. The boy was originally fidgeting, but all adjourned and his being was focused on . . . looking? Before Severus knew what was happening, the boy was walking up to him. He was looking down at something, the young teen soon wondered if something was on his shirt, or what in the world the boy seemed so interested in.
\"I bet your pictures are amazing! It doesn\'t make much sense, oh I see . . . I\'m guessing you are ambidextrous? But . . . it seems sad . . . Are you lonely?\" Despite his slow and calm voice, the Durselys looked at him as if he was speaking a new, and rather profane language.
\"Harold! See what I mean? Good lord, he\'s insane! He\'ll just start blathering about people on the street too! He doesn\'t know them, but he talks of what they do, and how they feel! I tell you now this boy isn\'t well.\"
\"But, no! Aunt Petunia I can see it on-\"
\"What did I tell you?! You are not to call me that! You are an orphan! You have no right to use my name! You disgust me, you li-\"
\"Wait, Mrs. Dursely, Harry what do you know about me?\" Fascinated by what the boy had said before Severus listened. Looking deep into emerald eyes.
\"I\'m Sorry my mom said I went to fast, I need to slow down my brain . . . it was nothing.\"
\"No, please continue,\" Before Petunia could silence him Lucius was also beckoning him to carry on.
\"Well, it\'s just . . . You see. I saw paint on his fingers, which I\'m assuming for at his age it is not finger paint, but a serious past time for him. Also judging by your clothing, I\'d assume you all have the funds to pursue an occupation that unstable. Then at first I saw that he had callouses on his right and left hand, meaning he is both an analytical, and creative thinker. This explained his artful interest, And advance book that I see him carrying. And well . . . \"
\"What about being lonely? He has me! But you are right, he\'s a really good painter!\" Draco was the one to ask this time.
\"Well, I bet he would be, just looking at the colors he used. I mean, it\'s a very unique style, it seems that he uses more analogous colors, than complementary, though interesting, it seems to have an odd style. I\'d assume you paint impressionistically?\" Looking at Severus, the boy asked the question completely still locked on his train of thought, deducing what Severus . . . was.
\"Yes, I am . . . more or less, I do all sorts of styles.\" He could really not believe this boy . . . He had, well he had discovered more of him than many knew . . . by looking at his hands! Goodness, this boy really was a genius.
\"This boy and his strange ways. I can\'t believ-\"
\"Harry will you play with me and Severus?\" Smiling the blonde boy gazed at Harry, almost too intently.
\"Um, well, aunt Petunia could I?\" While he was unsure of his answer, It was more blatant that Harry could derive no pleasure greater than from being allowed to go.
\"Well, it\'s settled, my Draco gets everything he wants of corse. Harry, you Draco and Severus shall go to the park tomorrow, and I will hear no excuses.\" Smiling Lucius and the boys bade their good byes to the Durselys and Harry.
Severus didn\'t know when the trips to the park became so natural, he didn\'t remember when he started enjoying the company of a 5-year-old. The beautiful purity, the kind heart, modest smiles, and startling intellect, soon all the amazing traits of Harry Potter melded to form a highlight in his life.
The leaves turned and died, and he watched as the Durselys ruined him. Obviously Vernon was disappointed that the boy hadn\'t grown at all by his sixth birthday, unable to do more strenuous work, more than the already grueling work he already did. Then the day came, when Harry would not be so dreadfully abused, and Severus found himself almost sadder than when he was before. It was time for Harry to go to elementary school. Time for that brilliant mind to blossom and be realized as. . . . well something amazing.
The rain poured down upon the window sill, the carriage loaded with a Harry. Severus looked out, getting his silent good bye. He decided it would be less bothersome for Harry if he just left, and as Severus had learned farewells only prolong the sorrow.
