Note from Author: I know the last chapter of Warning Signs was short. This is because I didn’t really feel like going into detail about what happened to Tonks after she was captured. That’s what this story is for. This story will be primarily in Hermione’s Point-Of-View and you will soon find out why. I may switch back and forth between her and Tonks, but then again I just may keep it as Hermione because it may get confusing otherwise. Please, please, PLEASE REVIEW!!!!!!!!! I love feedback and it makes writing it seem worth while. I think I’ve said all that needs to be said. Happy reading!!!!
Mum and Dad were safe. At first I thought that that was what mattered, the only thing that I cared about was that they came back unharmed. But then I heard the news that Nymphadora Tonks, the woman that I loved, was in mortal peril in the clutches of Lord Voldemort himself.
Professor Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, would tell me nothing. He would say that the most he could tell me is that she is still alive. Needless to say, that was hardly reassuring. I knew Tonks was strong, I knew that somehow she would pull through, but the question was would she be sane or not after enduring Voldemort and his treacherous Death Eater’s torture?
The Ministry of Magic gathered its best Auror’s available to rescue Tonks. Somehow they succeeded. I can’t even imagine what Tonks had endured when she was in Voldemort’s lair. When I was first able to visit her at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries she was barely recognizable she had been so badly beaten. From that point on, I knew things would never be the same…
